My Hogwarts has a serious problem.
111. Fructus Felicis
The next day at breakfast, Lynn delivered the candy she had prepared to them.
"You can share it with your friends." Lynn added this when giving the candy to Hermione, worried that the little girl might feel embarrassed to give away what he gave her.
Hermione took the bag of candy from Lynn's hand and looked very happy.
She doesn't actually like sweets, but she likes any sweets that Lynn gives her.
"I'll share this with Harry and the others. The method you taught me last time really worked. I treated them like six-year-olds, and they actually seemed quite sensible. They even knew to do their homework on their own initiative."
"That's really quite sensible."
"The Quidditch match is about to start, and Harry is a little nervous. He hasn't been eating well these past few days and has been reading that Quidditch Origins book every day. If he's this diligent in learning spells, I won't need to ask him for his homework anymore..."
Hermione chatted with Lynn for quite a while before letting him leave.
Back with Cedric and Ian, the two were discussing yesterday's Potions class.
"Professor Snape seemed to have a problem with his leg; he was limping yesterday," Cedric recalled.
Ian nodded. They had taken Potions class with Hufflepuff yesterday and also noticed something was wrong.
Lynn said casually.
"Perhaps he twisted his ankle while walking up the stairs?"
"Professor Snape is a Potions Master. If he had sprained his ankle, how could he still be a day later?"
Cedric had Potions class in the morning, and Ian in the afternoon. They both noticed that Snape's leg was injured, which meant he hadn't healed it by noon.
Lynn actually knew why Snape's leg was injured; Cedric and the others bringing it up actually reminded him of it, but he couldn't tell them the truth.
"Professor Snape asked me to go to his office tonight to help him process potion ingredients. I reckon his leg will be healed by the time I get there."
They didn't talk much about it, since even if something happened to the professor, there was nothing they could do to help.
"Make sure you practice the spells I taught you this morning a lot, and try to learn them within three days," Lynn instructed.
He taught the Soul-Sealing Spell to Cedric and Ian this morning, but neither of them knew what Lynn wanted them to do with it. He just said they would find out later.
After finishing his classes in the afternoon, Lynn went to Snape's office.
When he arrived, Snape was unwrapping the bandages from his wound.
"Do you need my help, Professor?"
Snape glanced at him but did not refuse.
"I was going to call Filch, but I didn't expect you to arrive so early. Since you're here, I won't bother him."
Lynn got closer and realized that the injury on his leg was indeed very serious. His calf looked like it had been torn apart by some canine animal, and it looked bloody and frightening.
Lynn hesitated for a moment, then took out a bottle of white powder from the pocket of his robe.
"When I helped Professor Sprout before, she gave me a bottle of Dictamnus dasycarpus, which I happen to have with me. Professor Sprout said it's very effective for external wounds. Would you like me to sprinkle some on you?"
He certainly didn't bring it with him by chance; he brought it specifically for Snape.
He's always taking advantage of people who have no shame in their wives, and he doesn't think that's something they should give him. Although Lynn never thought of himself as a good person, he still has a little bit of conscience.
Now that Snape has injured his leg, he will naturally help if he can.
The reason I call it a coincidence is simply to save face for my wife.
Lynn thought she was quite good at dealing with people.
Snape didn't say anything. He took the bottle of White Essence from Lynn, uncorked it, smelled it, and then handed it back to Lynn expressionlessly.
"Hmph, do you think this is just a common superficial injury? If it were, I could have healed it that day instead of waiting until now."
The arrogant old man...
"So, Professor, you don't need it?" Lynn made a move to put the bottle of white essence away.
"Sprinkle a little, it's better than nothing."
Cut, the mouth is too upright.
Just as Lynn was helping Snape chat and change his bandages, No Wife Face suddenly looked toward the door with a grim expression.
"Potter!" he shouted in exasperation.
He quickly put down his robe to try and cover his injured leg.
Harry Potter stood at the door, looking somewhat bewildered at Professor Snape, before mustering a great deal of courage to speak.
"I want to know if I can get my book back."
"Get out! Get out!"
"Snape shouted angrily."
Harry ran off in a flash, and Snape, seemingly furious, even forgot about deducting points from Gryffindor.
"Damn it! He's just like his father back then! Like a monkey in a zoo, running around rudely!"
Snape cursed and swore, but Lynn remained silent.
He shouldn't ask too much about Snape's past, since it wasn't a pleasant memory for Snape.
After Lynn helped Snape change the bandage on his wound and, as usual, took care of the materials Snape would need for class the next day, he was about to leave when Snape suddenly called him back.
He tossed a small vial of golden potion to Lynn.
"This is some leftover from my recent refining process. It's just sitting there unused, but I won't use your White Essence for nothing, so I'll give this to you."
Lynn frantically caught the small bottle that flew towards him.
The bottle was very small, only about half the size of a palm, and contained a very small amount of golden liquid.
The gold color was very bright, like the brilliance of the midday sun in summer; looking at it for too long could be dazzling.
Lynn's palms were slightly sweaty as he held the bottle, and he looked hesitantly at Snape, who still had an indifferent expression.
"Professor, is this Felix Felicis?"
"What else could it be? Do you think I'd give you a bottle of madness potion?" Snape scoffed.
Lynn didn't care about his tone at all, and thanked him with a look of surprise and delight.
"Thank you, Professor. From now on, if you tell me to go east, I will never go west. If you tell me to beat up Potter, I will definitely beat him into a pig's head."
Snape twitched his lips and waved his hand.
"What nonsense are you spouting? Get out of here."
"Okay, then you go ahead and get busy."
Lynn left Snape's office happily, and was in an exceptionally good mood on the way back.
Felix Felicis is definitely not something Snape claimed he made in excess and gave to him casually.
This potion is extremely rare and highly sought after in the magical world. Few potion masters are willing to sell it because its preparation process is far too complicated and time-consuming, requiring more than half a year.
This time, he simply wanted to care for elderly people living alone without families, but he never expected to receive such a big surprise.
