The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 87 Hogwarts New Timetable

Chapter 87 Hogwarts New Course Schedule (Please help!)

George and Fred swaggered toward the Gryffindor table, where Charlie had already reserved seats for them. As soon as they sat down, a bunch of little lions surrounded them, bombarding them with questions about what it was like to be the "hat-wearing fools."

Before long, the twins had already made a name for themselves in Gryffindor, and they quietly suggested to the freshmen that they organize their first group night out!

A young Black man was the first to respond, and then most of the lion cubs were drawn to the suggestion and started discussing it enthusiastically. Charlie even thoughtfully provided them with tips on nighttime outings.

Percy shook his head helplessly. "I often feel out of place because I can't break the rules. Merlin above, who can discuss alchemy with me? Can't you see Nicolas Flamel sitting right there?"

"Alchemy? What's that? Can you turn gold into gold if you learn it?" Fred asked George with a curious look. The twins were at it again.

"I don't think so!"

"Then why should we learn it?"

Are you going to learn it?

"I won't learn!"

"And you, buddy!" George asked his new buddy, Lee Jordan.

Lee Jordan is a cool young Black man with curly black hair. He expressed a unique perspective: "If alchemy can help me pull off pranks better, why wouldn't I learn it?"

"What a brilliant idea!" The twins gave Li Jordan a high five.

Unlike the boisterous atmosphere at the Gryffindor table, the Slytherin side appeared solemn and serious.

"That's probably because of what Mr. Moriarty said; everyone took it to heart," Leon thought. He looked at Moriarty, who was sitting in the head seat talking quietly with Jericho, with a sense of awe. He had originally thought that as Moriarty's prestige increased, the overall atmosphere of Slytherin would become like that of Gryffindor, since Lilith and Gemma were both lively and had a good relationship with Moriarty.

However, the reality was quite the opposite. Moriarty's presence made the little snakes aware of the magical sky, and they felt a sense of awe in the face of the vast expanse of the sky.

"Clang, clang, clang~" Dumbledore stood up. Because the Great Hall was too noisy, he held a silver spoon and tapped the rim of a wine glass to make a crisp sound, which finally quieted down the young wizards.

"It's a new year again," Dumbledore said with a gleam in his eye. "Yes, yes, I'd love to hear about your holiday experiences; it must have been quite a story. But I must interrupt your conversations with your companions because—I'm just too hungry! So I need to finish quickly. You can't expect the elderly to be like you young men and women. Besides, there are two more elderly people at Hogwarts this year."

"Oh wow oh wow~"

The young wizards all knew who he was talking about, and they generously gave Nicolas Flamel and Perenel another round of applause and cheers.

"Very well, it seems everyone has noticed!" Dumbledore's smile was as warm and gentle as a little sun. "With the highest expectations and greatest honor, I would like to introduce our new professors, Professor Nicolas Flamel and Professor Perenel!"

The auditorium erupted in the loudest cheers, praises, and applause that lasted for three minutes!

This was the third time the young wizards had expressed their respect for Nicolas Flamel. Faced with this respect, even Nicolas Flamel, who had lived for over six hundred years, stood up from his seat with his wife and nodded to the students.

Seeing this, the young wizards applauded even louder, and Dumbledore added the phrase "loud voice" to his own applause.

He cleared his throat: "Wow! I thought I was the most popular old man at Hogwarts, but it turns out two Frenchmen have taken my throne!"

Everyone laughed, and Dumbledore continued, "I ask you to save your praise for after the final exams, or until Monday! Yes, that's right, you all guessed it, Hogwarts is adding another course this year: Alchemy!"

It is a compulsory course, taught in the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin, which is large enough, I think, to hold all the students of a house!

As for the teaching schedule, Slytherin and Hufflepuff will have classes on Monday mornings, and Gryffindor and Ravenclaw will have classes on Friday afternoons. Professor Nicolas Flamel and I have agreed to begin and end your week of study with alchemy.

This means our class schedule will need some minor adjustments…”

There's no longer any need for students to listen to the class schedule. After all, you'll understand the schedule once you attend a few classes with everyone. The students have started discussing the alchemy class's classroom, time, and number of students!

"This means Alchemy class will be a long class," Lilith excitedly told Moriarty. "On Monday mornings, all students from grades one through seven from both houses will be together!"

"I'm more concerned about the content of the curriculum than the number of students. There's a clear gap between seventh-grade students and first-year students, both in terms of their learning ability and their magical knowledge," Gemma said, expressing her opinion. "It's impossible to please everyone. How can Professor Nicolas Flamel meet the knowledge needs of students in all grades while ensuring the quality of teaching?"

"That's right!" the little snakes all agreed.

Only Jericho looked around and said, "Is that what you all think? These are seven years of students from two different houses attending class together!"

Guys, do you know what this means? A ton of female and female students are waving at me! Just you wait, I'll definitely raise my hand to answer questions on Monday, and I'll capture the attention of all the witches!

"Your current senior could tell you," Gemma scoffed, "Don't waste your energy!"

The little snakes laughed heartily; they were happy to see Jericho make a fool of himself or suffer a setback.

Leon glared at Jericho with annoyance. He could see that Jericho would eventually lead the Slytherin school astray!

Moriarty spoke calmly: "You're overthinking it. Alchemy is different from other courses. Age never limits an alchemist's achievements, and most of us are apprentices when it comes to alchemy."

The little snakes nodded thoughtfully. Just then, Leon saw Dumbledore stand up again with a piece of parchment. He knew the new timetable had been set and reminded everyone, "Quiet!"

The Great Hall quickly fell silent. Dumbledore nodded slightly to Leon: "Thank you, Mr. Mintham. By the way, during the holidays, due to the arrival of the new professor, I had to deal with some principal duties, so I was unable to appoint our male and female student council presidents in time. Now I think I can add to that."

"Then, without a doubt, Mr. Leonminchum is our Boys' Council President!"

A burst of enthusiastic applause erupted from the Slytherin table. Leon struggled to suppress a laugh; he could no longer hear Dumbledore announcing the name of the Head of the Students' Council—it sounded like a sixth-year Ravenclaw girl? Who cares!

Leon stood up excitedly, bowed to the teachers and students, and then quietly thanked Moriarty.

Moriarty patted him on the shoulder: "Work hard. Fudge will promote you after you enter the Ministry of Magic next year. Then you can realize your ambitions."

Leon hurriedly pledged his loyalty. As the representative of the Mincherm family, he had witnessed firsthand how Moriarty had colluded with the pure-blood families and the ruling families to coerce Fudge, and dared not harbor any disloyal thoughts.

After introducing the two student chairpersons, Dumbledore waved the parchment in his hand, "Following Alchemy, we have finalized the other courses. Among them, Professor Randy of Defense Against the Dark Arts has resigned for personal reasons. Therefore, I would like to introduce to you our new professor—Ms. Diana Savage!"

Diana stood up and nodded gracefully to the students and professors. Everyone then realized that she was at least 1.75 meters tall, wearing high heels—Moriarty guessed they were at least 10 centimeters high—making her look a little taller than Dumbledore.

Tall, sexy, stunningly beautiful, and aloof! This year's Defense Against the Dark Arts professor fulfilled all the boys' fantasies about beauty, so you can imagine how loud the cheers and applause Diana received.

But she was still a little less impressive than Nicolas Flamel, because the little witches all looked at Diana with strange eyes, a mixture of inferiority and jealousy in them.

"After discussions with Headmaster Dumbledore, the Defense Against the Dark Arts class for first-year students will remain at its usual time. The class time for second-year students will be moved to Monday afternoons, and the class time for third-year students will be moved to Tuesday mornings..."

Diana spoke, her voice melodious, gentle, and soft, reminding the little witches of their mothers or sisters.

This greatly reduced the young witches' hostility towards Diana. They heard Diana announce the start time for Defense Against the Dark Arts class, and Dumbledore also distributed the new schedule to the two chairpersons. Leon called upon the prefects of each house and instructed them to distribute the schedules to their respective houses' common rooms.

After finishing his official business, Dumbledore patted his stomach: "I'm starving! How about you? So eat! Children, eat as much as you like!"
