Peeves has lived in Hogwarts Castle since the founding of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

To be precise, Peeves was born along with the entire building.

Yes, this "building"—which Moriarty once thought was Hogwarts Castle—was what everyone thought.

However, the Hogwarts Tower of Magic is actually another component of this "building".

"We don't know why Peeves plays pranks," Moriarty said to Dumbledore, "but I think Peeves' origins are closely related to the Tower of Wizardry."

Moriarty and Dumbledore walked briskly through the castle, quickly passing by everything around them.

"I don't know who it was, maybe Ravenclaw? Or maybe Salazar? In any case, it was one of the four of them who came up with this idea."

"That's how a sacred artifact of light elemental magic created a brand new being in its original form—that's Peeves!"

"You ask me why I'm so sure?" Moriarty looked at Dumbledore, his bright eyes shining with confidence and excitement.

"That's because ever since I learned about light, Peeves has been hiding from me, and has been hiding from me ever since!"

Upon learning the location, Moriarty and Dumbledore immediately took to the air and flew towards the Forbidden Forest.

Moriarty reacted to the sound, Apparating into the Forbidden Forest, and Dumbledore followed.

Hagrid was still recounting his story: "I've never seen a Peeves like that before. He was all shiny, like the Flash from a Muggle movie—no, much scarier! Their fight scared the Aragog family away, oh my poor Aragog, and those little guys..."

As soon as Moriarty landed, he saw Bloody Barrow and Lady Grey fighting Peeves!

Just as Hagrid said, Peeves was flashing like he had a built-in flashlight.

Meanwhile, Ms. Grey angrily ordered Bloody Barrow to fight Peeves:

"Chop him down! Kill him! Kill him with the axe that killed me! Pierce him with the sword that killed me!"

Without saying a word, Blood Man Barrow obediently picked up a small wood-chopping axe and chopped at Pippi the Ghost, then took out a long sword and pierced Pippi the Ghost's body.

Moriarty had no idea where the Blood Man Barrow had gotten his axe and longsword.

The two weapons were stained with silver blood, exactly the same bloodstains found on the 11th-century clothing of the Blood Man Barrow.

That was the blood from when Barrow killed Lady Grey.

Moriarty suspected that the axe and longsword were the weapons Barrow used to take Lady Grey's life.

Even more bizarrely, when Pippi the Ghost is struck by an axe or pierced by a longsword, it is covered by a bright light.

Then, the ghostly body of the Blood Man Barrow was instantly struck by an axe and pierced by a longsword!

Just then, Dumbledore appeared in Apparition and, seeing this, exclaimed in surprise, "What is this? It's common sense that ghosts cannot be attacked!"

Moriarty's eyes narrowed: "On the surface, those lights seem to have redirected Barrow's attack onto himself, but if you combine that with my previous points..."

Bloody Barrow and Peeves remained silent, while Lady Grey paused for a moment before continuing to scream.

Dumbledore frowned deeply and looked at Moriarty, gesturing for him to go.

Moriarty stated that reasoning with ghosts is a foolish choice.
