The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 715 The Prophecy of Sibyl Trelawney
Chapter 715 The Prophecy of Sibyl Trelawney
Hogwarts Library.
Hermione Granger was sitting at a desk in the back row.
She was surrounded by magic books, and with a quill pen in hand, she was writing and drawing on parchment with a worried expression.
Hermione's friend Hannah Abbott, standing next to her, had a lollipop in her mouth, her round little face full of contentment.
"Seriously, Hermione, why do you have to pick on Professor Sybil Trelawney?"
As Hannah spoke, she swung her two short legs, swaying back and forth.
Hermione rolled her eyes at her friend, threw down her quill with a thud, and said irritably, "Dear Hannah, I didn't ask you to come to the library to listen to your lectures, I need your notes!"
Hannah pulled out her notebook and handed it to Hermione, giggling, "Even Hermione, the top student in her grade, has subjects she's not good at!"
"The genius is Moriarty, okay? I'm just a mediocre student at best." Hermione took the notebook, flipped through a few pages casually, and felt a surge of annoyance when she saw the notes on it.
"I can't concentrate!" Hermione said dejectedly, closing her notebook and rubbing her forehead. "I feel nauseous seeing everything related to Professor Sybil Trelawney."
Hannah leaned over and wiped the cold sweat from Hermione's forehead, then took out a handkerchief and handed it to Hermione with concern, whispering, "Should we tell Moriarty?"
"No," Hermione gripped her handkerchief tightly, refusing firmly, "I can't tell Moriarty about something so trivial. What will people think of me?"
"Am I the kind of witch who gets arrogant because she's favored?!"
"But have you forgotten Sybil Trelawney's professor?" Hannah's eyes hardened. "No matter how much she disliked you, she shouldn't have predicted your impending death!"
Hermione laughed instead: "Why would I care about her prophecy?"
"She's a fraud! That's ridiculous!"
"I don't understand why Moriarty and Professor Dumbledore don't expel her?"
"But don't expect me to take that liar seriously!"
Hermione opened her notebook as she spoke, her expression as if she were facing a dragon.
"If it weren't for passing the divination exam, I wouldn't have given a second glance to divination."
Hannah shook her head slightly as she watched Hermione engrossed in her book.
"I don't even know what to say to you, Hermione. You could have just skipped this course; it's an elective, isn't it?"
Hermione declared resolutely, "Moriarty has gotten perfect scores in all his subjects for six years, and I will definitely be the next student to get perfect scores! I will!"
"Okay." Hannah shrugged and happily sucked on the candy in her mouth.
"In that case, you and your brother Moriarty will be written into a small part of Hogwarts history in the future."
"I knew that's what you were thinking."
"Isn't he your brother Moriarty?" Hermione tapped Hannah's forehead with the end of her pen.
Hannah stuck out her tongue: "Hehe."
At that moment, a figure slowly emerged from behind the bookshelf behind them.
It's Neville Longbottom.
Neville, also a third-grader, was looking up information in the library when he overheard the conversation.
"Hermione's wife clashed with Professor Sybil Trelawney? The professor made a death prophecy?"
"I must tell my master right away."
Neville got to work, but he moved slowly and quietly, tiptoeing and being very careful.
He respected his master very much, but he didn't want to offend his master's wife.
Because Hermione dislikes tattletales.
……
Neville returned to the Slytherin common room.
Moriarty is nowhere to be seen here.
"Where is Mr. Moriarty?" Neville asked a young snake.
"The gentleman was at the Quidditch pitch, and a lot of people went with him."
Neville quickly ran towards the field.
Finally, we found Moriarty in the stands of the Quidditch stadium.
"Sir!" Neville cried out, breathless.
"Neville?" Moriarty's tone turned stern. "You're a third-year student and you're still so impulsive?"
"I thought you would become more mature after your time-traveling journey."
Neville, with a mournful face, told Moriarty what he had heard.
"What?!" Moriarty found it utterly absurd. "Professor Trelawney actually made such a prediction about Hermione?"
Lilith said, "To be honest, I think Professor Trelawney is a bit crazy, but she's not a professor who hates students."
"There must be some misunderstanding here," Moriarty asserted. "Professor Trelawney has made death predictions about almost every student."
"But this time, it seems like they're serious?"
Lilith was somewhat surprised: "You mean, Professor Trelawney made a genuine prophecy!?"
"Very likely," Moriarty said, standing up. "Why don't I go to the library and ask Hermione?"
……
library.
Moriarty arrived quietly.
While Hermione was struggling to learn, Moriarty sat down next to her.
"Little kitty, have you gotten lost on the road of life?"
Moriarty's soft voice reached Hermione's ears as he reached out and lifted Hermione's chin, stroking it gently.
Despite being greasy.
But it works very well.
This is especially true for Hermione.
Cats fall for this kind of thing, don't they?
"Waaah~" Hermione looked at Moriarty with surprise and then threw herself into his arms with a wronged expression.
Moriarty, with Hermione in his arms, transformed into a gust of wind and flew out of the library.
This is not a good place for romance.
At this moment, Hannah, who was dozing off with her hands supporting her chin, belatedly raised her hazy eyes and realized what was happening.
"Huh? Where did I, Hermione, go?"
Hannah looked around, but Hermione was nowhere to be seen, leaving her completely bewildered.
And under a tree beside Black Lake.
Moriarty sat on the ground with Hermione in his arms.
Hermione's eyes welled up with tears. "Brother Moriarty, since you're here, you must know what happened."
She pouted and asked, "Did Hannah tell you?"
"No, it's Neville." Moriarty honestly betrayed Neville.
"It's him again!" Hermione's eyes gleamed. "I'm going to give him tons of homework during the holidays!"
"She's already exercising her rights as the teacher's wife so quickly."
Hermione chuckled, overjoyed.
"What kind of prophecy did Professor Trelawney make that made my Hermione cat unhappy?" Moriarty asked, stroking Hermione with feigned nonchalance.
"Hmm..." Hermione hesitated for a moment, then said, "Can I not tell you? That con woman, I feel like she's cursing me!"
"Not a female fraudster, but Professor Sybil Trelawney," Moriarty said seriously.
"Okay, I'll tell you." Hermione raised her hands in surrender.
"Everything about you is hidden there, your life ends there, it was there when you were born, and it will remain there until you are destroyed."
Hermione mimicked Professor Sybil Trelawney's tone, speaking in a calm yet subdued manner.
Then she said cheerfully, "See? This is the prophecy that was made for me."
"Isn't it absurd? Isn't it outrageous?"
"None of my classmates, including myself, knew what she was talking about."
"Don't worry, I won't mind," Hermione snuggled closer to Moriarty. "I just want to get a good grade in Divination."
She looked up at Moriarty, only to find his expression strange.
"Brother Moriarty?"
