The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 610 The Fairies Move
"Boom!"
The pitch-black night sky was suddenly filled with thunder, with blue lightning and purple thunderbolts striking down intermittently.
In London, the heart of Europe, a giant dragon surges and roars through the clouds, its body crackling with electric sparks as it hurtles at lightning speed.
"dragon!"
"A dragon!"
Not only wizards, but Muggles also peered out of their windows, terrified at the sight of the giant dragon in the sky.
In Diagon Alley, Moriarty and his companions were also filled with surprise.
They had never seen Ishcher in her dragon form before, and even Moriarty, who was most familiar with Ishcher, was seeing such a behemoth for the first time.
Although the dragon's body was obscured by the clouds, the lightning revealed its incredibly elastic tail, taut body, and imposing claws.
The lightning-studded skin took on a noble purple hue, while the occasionally visible dragon belly was fair and soft.
"Awoo!"
The flying Ishcher locked onto the magic of Gamp's Dark Heart, located its source, and gave chase at top speed.
Moriarty withdrew his gaze and said, "Gamp is in Ishcher's hands; we have more important tasks ahead of us."
Lilith, Jericho, Dumbledore, and Grindelwald had stood up, Gump had fled, and their cursed magic had disappeared.
Dumbledore looked in the direction of Hogwarts. The huge school crest in the sky above the school had not yet disappeared, but the old headmaster could not help but worry about the young wizards inside.
"I know you want to fight alongside the students, so we can split up now."
Moriarty had already planned the second half of the scheme. He looked at Lilith and Jericho: "We're going to Gringotts to find the Fairy King!"
"Then Hogwarts will be left to the two headmasters."
With a clear division of labor, Dumbledore and Grindelwald quickly flew away.
Finally, Moriarty looked at Old Tom and the others.
After a great battle, all the Grey Wizards perished, and Mr. Diggory, Rufus Scrimgeour, and many others were also killed by the magical influence, leaving only Old Tom and Mr. Greengrass among a few others.
"You will witness the arrival of a new era."
"But you won't have the chance to enjoy it; you'll spend the rest of your life in prison."
"Not Azkaban. Azkaban and the Ministry of Magic will become history, the dregs of the old era."
"Trust that Minister of Magic Gilderoy Lockhart will find you a new prison."
Moriarty said to old Tom, a slight smile appearing at the end.
"Lockhart?" Old Tom, who had already collapsed to the ground, seemed to finally understand. "He's one of yours?"
"He's a man of the new era!"
Moriarty solemnly uttered a sentence before flying towards Gringotts with Lilith and Jericho.
The Leaky Cauldron is at the entrance to Diagon Alley, while Gringotts is at the end of Diagon Alley, just one block apart.
When the battle reached Diagon Alley, all the wizards there fled, leaving the streets deserted and empty under the moonlight.
Moriarty and his two companions landed in front of Diagon Alley, but the two goblins who usually guarded the entrance were nowhere to be seen.
There's a problem.
Moriarty narrowed his eyes. Diagon Alley was like a ghost town. Had all the fairies vanished?
"Torn apart!"
Moriarty fired a spell at Gringotts, and the powerful Split Spell instantly caused the three-story white building to crumble.
"jump!"
The rubble stopped flying, revealing the main hall inside.
There was no one there!
There wasn't a single fairy!
"What?!" Jericho's eyes bulged out. "The goblins abandoned Gringotts?! That's more unbelievable than Merlin's resurrection, aliens on Mars, or Professor Snape riding a flying broomstick!"
Moriarty and Lilith also looked grim. Gringotts was more important to every goblin than their own lives, and now they were abandoning Gringotts and running away?
"Go and check the underground vault and the gold inside."
Moriarty gave Jericho a wink, and Jericho dashed inside.
"Shall we make a bet?" Moriarty and Lilith exchanged a questioning look. "The underground vault is still there, and the wealth inside is still there, not a single copper nut."
"If that's the case, it means the fairies have abandoned the wealth they've accumulated over generations," Lilith immediately said.
Her alluring eyes were wide open, filled with disbelief.
"If fairies abandon wealth, are they still fairies?"
"That's not necessarily true," Moriarty said thoughtfully. "There must be a reason for the goblins' departure. What if there's something more valuable than Gringotts' treasures that the goblins are looking for?"
After listening, Lilith pretended to think. Jericho ran back, shouting, "Not a single piece of the treasure inside is missing!"
"That Ukrainian Iron Belly underground has been chasing me, Merlin's toes, I almost ran myself to death," Jericho reported breathlessly.
"I won," Moriarty said to Lilith with a smile, but his tone immediately changed: "But this isn't what I wanted to see. Where is the Fairy King?"
"That explains why the Fairy King didn't help Gamp when the battle at the Leaky Cauldron broke out," Lilith pointed out. "Because the Fairy King led the fairies and disappeared."
"The question is, where did the vanished fairies go? And how could they disappear without a trace?"
Jericho looked at Lilith, then at Moriarty. Even if it were them, it would be one thing, but Moriarty was there and he hadn't even noticed!
"Thump!"
"Thump!"
"Thump!"
A series of loud bangs came from afar, each one clearer than the last.
"What's that sound?" Moriarty looked toward Hogwarts alertly. The sound carried directly to his mind, and he was almost certain that it was coming from Hogwarts.
"Are those war drums?"
"No, it sounds more like the clatter of horses' hooves on the ground," Jericho recalled riding horses when he was a cowboy.
"No, it's giants running towards Hogwarts!" Moriarty roared.
"The Fairy King is attacking Hogwarts!"
"Go back to school."
Moriarty admitted that he hadn't expected the Fairy King to choose to attack Hogwarts rather than help Gump.
What is it about Hogwarts that would make the Goblin King abandon Gringotts and Gump to attack it?
How did the Fairy King manage to bypass Moriarty and the others' senses and send the fairies, and even the giants, outside Hogwarts?
Moriarty is unaware of all of this.
But he knew he absolutely could not lose Hogwarts.
Let's rewind 30 minutes before Moriarty's game-winning goal against Gampo.
The junior wizards from the four academies achieved brilliant results in their operation.
The three headmasters, Umbridge, Ramdy Lestrange, and Lancelot, have been taken into custody.
Students who sided with Gump were defeated and placed under strict guard by Tonks, Penelope, Marcus, and the Weasley twins.
Several troublemakers, like Rolf Scamander, were taught a lesson by Luna and then behaved themselves.
Even the Warriors of the Triwizard Tournament—except for Larpo, who was absent—were all locked in the principal's office.
They tried to struggle, but after seeing that their most powerful Lionheart had his right leg blown off by Percy at the cost of his left arm, they suddenly became as docile as rabbits.
After eliminating the influence of the Ministry of Magic, Professor McGonagall regained control and, with the help of the other professors, placed the two ministers of the English and French Ministries of Magic under house arrest.
Next, without stopping, based on the information from Astoria Greengrass, they began to locate and eliminate the Greek basilisks that Larpo had hidden!
Marcus successfully retrieved Moriarty's house-elf Luke from the secret chamber, as well as the Slytherin basilisk Shiva who had been teleported there.
Everything was running smoothly, and the Hogwarts community awaited Moriarty's return.
But things went wrong when Soldaya got rid of the goblin in Hagrid's hut!
Outside the forbidden forest.
Soldaya slowly walked towards Hagrid's hut.
He didn't know what it meant for Gamp to allow the fairies to guard the Forbidden Forest.
But he knew that his mission tonight was to kill this demon.
"Torn apart!"
Soldaya threw a spell at Hagrid's hut.
"I'm sorry, Hagrid. I'll help you rebuild the hut after the war. Now let it become a fairy graveyard."
"Bang!"
The hut was blown to rubble, but there was no sign of the fairy.
Soldaya's combat awareness was exceptional. He quickly dodged out of the way, raised his hand to summon a flying broom, flipped over, and rode the broom into the air.
"Reveal yourselves immediately."
Sordaya waved his wand around, but not a single fairy appeared.
"Has the fairy left?"
Soldaya couldn't help but think this, when a small figure emerged from the ground in front of him!
It was draped in a magnificent cloak, topped with a glittering golden crown, and held a scepter.
"Pitter-patter!"
It raised its scepter and pointed it at Sordaya, reciting a short incantation in a strange tone.
Soldaya bristled, a sense of crisis rising within him, and he grabbed the broom handle and pulled it diagonally to the right.
The curse grazed past his scalp, and Soldaya fell to the side, while the Fairy King clicked his tongue in regret.
"Avada Kedavra!"
Soldaya, who had fallen to the ground, struck with all his might, uttering the Death Curse. The Fairy King then darted back into the ground.
Sordaya saw it clearly now: the Fairy King crawled out of the ground and then crawled back in!
It's out again!
"My sons and grandsons, attack!"
The Fairy King raised his scepter and waved it wildly, and fairies emerged from behind him and from the ground!
Soldaya's eyes widened as he saw not only fairies, but also giants and werewolves, all bursting out of the ground and lunging at him.
