The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 580 Phoenix Nest
Moriarty and Krum stepped into the magical void and immediately felt weightless. A few seconds later, they found themselves on a patch of red grass.
Moriarty looked around. In front of him was a high mountain peak, with bright red grass forming a path that led straight to the top.
At the mountaintop, a colossal, ancient tree, as tall as the clouds, seemed to stand above the sky!
"Fire! The tree is on fire?" Krum stammered, staring wide-eyed at the incredible sight.
The towering ancient tree is entirely bright red, with its branches and vines intertwined, and a peculiar flame clings to it, shimmering with golden light.
Moriarty had a keen eye; on every thick branch, a phoenix perched.
Some of them are as large as ptarmigans, while others are as small as sparrows.
What they had in common was a humanistic glint in their eyes as they stared at Moriarty and Krum.
Welcome to the Phoenix Nest.
Dumbledore's voice came from the side.
Beneath the towering ancient tree, a fiery void appeared, and Dumbledore stepped out, smiling as he approached Moriarty and Krum.
"This is the ancestral home of the phoenix, the Phoenix Nest."
As Dumbledore spoke, he walked to Moriarty's side, looked up at the fire tree, and a genuine smile appeared on his face. "It is also a sacred place for the Dumbledore family."
The phoenix on the fiery tree flapped its wings at just the right moment, producing a melodious sonic boom.
With a flash of fire, the entire fire tree looked like a gigantic interstellar warship setting sail into the sky.
The spectacular sight captivated Krum, leaving him speechless for a long time.
Moriarty, on the other hand, felt a strong fire elemental magic. He hadn't suddenly leveled up his fire elemental magic in a long time, and even felt a slight relaxation.
"Have you found the fire elemental relic?"
Moriarty cut to the chase, asking Dumbledore that he had unlocked fire magic and that his purpose in coming to Phoenix Nest was to acquire the relics.
"Of course," Dumbledore's eyes gleamed, "the Dumbledore family has had the protection of the phoenix for generations, and I got it as soon as I returned here."
As he spoke, he stretched out his right hand from under his white robe, revealing a small mirror lying in his palm.
The mirror is round, with ancient flame patterns and phoenix designs on the edges.
"I can sense that you really need it," Dumbledore said with a smile, looking into Moriarty's eyes with a mixture of kindness and youthful excitement. "Take it."
Moriarty knew that Dumbledore had become powerful again. He picked up the small mirror and said earnestly, "Thank you, Professor Albus."
"You're welcome," Dumbledore said with a smile. "We can never stop thanking each other, because I'm also very grateful to you. Without you, I wouldn't have been determined to return to the Phoenix's Nest, and I wouldn't have regained my youth—look at me now."
A spark burst forth from Dumbledore, and in the next instant, Dumbledore transformed!
No, it's not a change, it's a return to its youthful appearance!
Moriarty stared blankly at the young Dumbledore, who had neatly combed dark brown hair, a thick beard, and wore a gray suit with a black overcoat, looking wise and imposing.
Just like Dumbledore from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald!
He has regained his youthful appearance!
Now we can't call him Old Deng anymore, we should call him Big Brother Deng.
Perhaps we'll have to change his name when Grindelwald appears!
Moriarty couldn't help but chuckle, exchanging a smile with Dumbledore.
At this moment, the fire mirror in his hand emitted a wisp of white smoke and "whoosh whoosh whoosh" rapidly ascended into the sky.
White smoke swirled in the air. Moriarty looked up and suddenly heard the system's voice in his mind: "Host's touch of the fire element relic has been detected. Reward: one exploration lottery draw."
"If the host possesses a fire elemental relic, the level of fire elemental magic will be raised to level 70 Archmage."
Moriarty remembered that the system had given a similar prompt when he last discovered the Wind Conch.
"Look up at the sky!" Dumbledore exclaimed, his voice booming but unable to conceal his shock and curiosity.
White smoke spread into the sky, creating a scene.
"boom!"
Thunderbolts rained down on the earth!
The thunder rumbled, realistic and loud.
Not only were Moriarty and his two companions startled, but the phoenix on the fiery tree, no longer majestic, squawked like a frightened bird.
As the image gradually came into focus, Moriarty's pupils contracted; he saw a giant dragon!
The enormous dragon's body was entirely purple-gold, its eyes shimmering with beautiful starlight, its wings spread as if embracing the sky, and countless bolts of lightning crashed down like explosions.
"Lightning elemental magic".
Moriarty murmured, "It must be lightning!"
Moreover, the dragon must be fighting, but it is too huge, and the lightning fills the entire screen, making it impossible to see the enemies on the ground.
Moriarty used his alchemical matrix to analyze the battle situation, but he could only make out a dark shadow.
"boom!"
Another lightning strike, as if Thor had descended to earth, blasted out, and the enemies on the ground scattered in panic. Only then did Moriarty realize that there were three of them.
The three enemies, who appeared to be the size of ordinary people, were panicked and about to be struck by lightning when a brilliant light appeared out of nowhere, illuminating the battlefield. The scene then abruptly ended.
As the white smoke dissipated, Moriarty stared at the sky, still dazed. At the last moment, although the white light was dazzling, he could still see clearly—there was a vast black forest there.
"The location of the lightning elemental magic relic is in a large black forest," Moriarty said with certainty. This was excellent information.
Dumbledore pondered, "I don't recall any large areas of Black Forest on Earth. Perhaps Gellert knows—let him come out and tell me."
Moriarty followed Dumbledore's gaze toward the Phoenix's Nest. Dumbledore smiled and explained, "I gained the power of fire magic and regained my youth. He wanted to do the same, but he's not a wizard of the Dumbledore family, so he needs to pass a test."
As soon as they finished speaking, a series of fireworks sounds rang out in front of them, and a fiery hole appeared, from which three figures walked out!
Paper dolls!
He's another character from the Tales of Beedle the Bard!
Moriarty's eyes narrowed. "The Peverell brothers!"
"So the reason you arrived at Godric's Hollow earlier than agreed time is because of these things," Dumbledore said, his glasses not being on, which did not diminish his wisdom in the slightest. "The Elder Wand? The Resurrection Stone? The Invisibility Cloak? The enemy is quite troublesome."
"What is the connection between the Peverell family and the Phoenix?" Krum asked tentatively.
His experiences after leaving Hogwarts far exceeded the sum of his previous experiences.
"It's not surprising that a legendary family like that has some kind of background." Dumbledore was eager to try and launched an attack on Peverell's leader, the enemy who wielded the Elder Wand.
"Phoenix Phantom Transformation!"
Two fiery wings appeared on Dumbledore's back, vanished in an instant, and reappeared behind Peverell.
"Flames are raging!"
Flames erupted, now golden in color, and their heat was far greater than before.
The eldest brother was burned, and Peverell, the second brother, saw this and spun the resurrection stone three times, and the eldest brother was resurrected.
"We need to separate the three brothers," Moriarty deduced. "Otherwise, they'll be fighting amongst themselves all day."
"There is no concept of time in the Phoenix's Nest," Dumbledore said casually, unleashing several spells and engaging in combat with his leader.
"Leave the second and third brothers to me."
Moriarty took to the air, Slytherin staff in his left hand and cedarwood wand in his right. He unleashed both water and wind elemental magic.
The third brother cleverly put on the invisibility cloak, while the second brother was swept into the sky by the storm.
"Invisibility, huh?" Moriarty mused. "They really have some tricks up their sleeves."
"Give me that mouse!"
A loud sound came from the Phoenix Nest.
Moriarty and Dumbledore turned around and saw a tall, white-haired man wearing a dark blue jacket, leather boots, and a dark gray overcoat standing in the treetop.
"Grindelwald!"
"Gellert?"
"Sorry to keep you waiting." Grindelwald waved his wand and Apparated to the battlefield like Dumbledore's phoenix.
Moriarty muttered to himself, "Old Gerd looks young again. I should call him Uncle Gerd now."
Wouldn't that make Old Deng Auntie Ge?
Hey hey hey.
With Grindelwald's arrival, the three brothers were quickly defeated.
Moriarty ripped off the third brother's invisibility cloak, and Dumbledore shattered the eldest brother's Elder Wand.
The second brother hurriedly used the resurrection stone.
"Now!" Moriarty shouted.
"Albus inherited the Phoenix's powerful single-target burst damage, while I inherited the Phoenix's ability to cover and attack multiple targets."
Grindelwald closed in on the three brothers step by step.
The magic wand in her hand danced like a nimble little ball on her fingertips.
Phoenix Fire Shield
The magic wand pointed to the sky, and a gigantic phoenix, blotting out the sun, soared into the air, its wings flapping out bursts of bright blue flames.
Like several volcanoes erupting!
The intense heat that could burn everything filled the entire space. The flames seemed to be able to distinguish friend from foe. Moriarty and the others felt warm, while the three brothers were trapped in a fiery hell!
"The Phoenix Cry," Dumbledore said softly, and the thousands of phoenixes in the Phoenix Nest cried out in unison, as if tolling a death knell for the three brothers.
"Whoosh."
The three brothers turned into a puddle of ink, which was then dried and evaporated.
Grindelwald scoffed, "They seem to be someone's puppets, but my flames possess the power of irreversibility. There's absolutely no way someone could control them again."
Sure enough, Beethoven outside Godric Valley watched as the story of the three brothers in the little green book slowly disappeared, his face ashen.
After eliminating the Peverell brothers, Moriarty told Grindelwald the information he had seen on the screen.
"If I'm not mistaken," Grindelwald's eyes gleamed thoughtfully, "I think I know where the Black Forest is—Swabia, Germany!"
