The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 579 Godric Valley
Autumn in England is dry and windy, and the sky over the southwest is clear and pure.
The wheat field below has already been harvested, leaving behind a deep yellow, golden expanse.
Two small whirlwind-like gusts of air swept across the sky; it was Moriarty and Krum.
"Sir, are we almost there?"
Krum has lost count of how many times he has asked Moriarty.
All I remember is that my stomach was flat and I was starving.
Moriarty looked down, and the outline of a valley slowly emerged from the clouds.
"Hang in there a little longer, we'll be there soon."
Moriarty's voice trembled slightly.
After flying for a day and a night, enduring wind and rain, we were covered in dust and grime.
Even the most talented Quidditch chasers are finding it hard to keep up.
"Splash, splash..."
The sound of wings flapping came from behind.
Moriarty glanced impatiently behind him and saw the "Grim Reaper," now hundreds of meters tall, like a Gundam.
Bedou clung to them like a mangy dog, refusing to let go, which prevented Moriarty and Krum from returning to the ground.
Because once it lands, Death will indiscriminately slaughter innocent people among the crowd!
The incident at Lady Guzeva's estate has been reported, and the strange creatures that appeared in the sky are being widely publicized by Muggles.
But Bedou wasn't afraid at all; he only wanted to kill Moriarty!
"Slide into the valley, prepare for landing."
Moriarty shouted to Krum, and they flew into the valley, where Muggles also lived, but they didn't care about being seen at this point.
"Hiss hiss hiss—"
Two flying brooms glided and turned at low altitude, creating a sonic boom, before smoothly flying into the valley.
"To be honest, the broom is really good." Krum flew past a Muggle who barely saw a blur.
Moriarty flew ahead of Krum, turning his head to survey the surroundings: several shops, a post office, a bar, and a small chapel.
As Christmas approaches, the bars are covered with stickers of Santa Claus and reindeer, bringing a touch of liveliness to this otherwise bleak town.
"Sir, that's the ruins of the Potter family's house, isn't it?"
Krum pointed to a destroyed house on the right.
There is a monument there: "This ruin is dedicated to the Potters and serves as a warning against the violence that tore their family apart."
Below are many other texts and texts supporting Harry.
Moriarty looked puzzled. "This is quite a famous tourist attraction."
"Godric Hollow is named after Godric Gryffindor, the founder of Hogwarts, who was born here and is remembered in history. It is also the final resting place of at least one member of the Peverell family."
"In the 21st century, this place became famous again: the first successful case of resisting the Killing Curse happened here."
As Moriarty introduced Godric Valley to Krum, he zigzagged on his broom and flew to the cemetery there.
One prominent tombstone reads: "The last enemy to be eliminated is death."
"This is it."
Moriarty waved toward the cemetery, and two pieces of bone flew out of the ground.
Krum blinked. The tombstone bore the names "James Potter" and "Lily Potter"—weren't those the names of Harry Potter's parents?
Although Krum didn't know why Moriarty took Harry's parents' remains, he knew Moriarty must have had his reasons for doing so.
"Here you go," Krum suddenly noticed Moriarty handing him a bouquet of white flowers. He looked up at Moriarty, "What's this—?"
Moriarty looked at another tombstone, and Krum followed his gaze—a small, round, white tombstone.
There was a lot of text above, and many words were confusing, but one name stood out—Ariana Dumbledore.
Beneath the tombstone were two bouquets of white flowers, a variety of kinds: white lilies, white daisies, calla lilies, white roses, white lotuses…
"It was placed there by Headmaster Dumbledore and Headmaster Grindelwald," Moriarty said softly. "Let's go and pay our respects too."
Ariana Dumbledore was Dumbledore's sister, an Obscurial. In the midst of the battle between Dumbledore, Grindelwald, and Aberforth, she was unfortunately struck by an unfortunate curse and died.
This matter has always been a source of pain for Dumbledore. Today, seeing the two bouquets of flowers at the foot of the tombstone, Moriarty thought that Dumbledore's return to this place might have brought him some comfort.
After a brief prayer, the two walked out of the cemetery. Krum said, "Sir, have you noticed that Bedou didn't follow us?"
Moriarty suddenly stopped and stared intently at an ancient, decaying tombstone, as if he had seen something interesting.
"I discovered it long ago; Bedou never entered Godric Valley."
Moriarty gazed toward the entrance, where Death cast a massive shadow in the sunlight.
This indicates that Pidou remained there.
"But sir, why?" Krum asked, puzzled.
"You know the Peverell family, right?"
"Mmm," Krum nodded sheepishly, then suddenly realized, "The Peverell brothers from Beedle's Tales? Oh! You mean?"
Moriarty glanced again at the ancient tombstone at his feet, on which was a faint name: Ignotus Peveril!
"The name of the third son of the Porter family, Peverell. He lived in Godric's Hollow until his death, and was a descendant of the Peverell family of the Porter family."
Moriarty said calmly.
"Let me tell you another story you may not know: Voldemort's Gaunt family is also related to the Peverell family by marriage; he is a descendant of the second Peverell son."
He knew the genealogies of all the major pure-blood families like the back of his hand, and the Peverell family was a remarkable family in the history of wizarding.
Regardless of whether the Peverell brothers truly outwitted and outmaneuvered Death, they were incomparably powerful wizards, perhaps even reaching a level beyond that of legend!
"I guessed what Peter was thinking," Moriarty said. "He plans to use the Peverell brothers against us."
Krum suddenly realized what was happening and quickly caught up with Moriarty.
"Let's go find our principal."
"If all goes well, they will gain immense power."
Moriarty smiled. Pidtu had his own plans, and so did he!
As agreed beforehand, Moriarty led Krum into a dilapidated wooden hut.
"Is this the ancestral home of the Dumbledore family?"
Moriarty looked around. The owner of the house next door was Bathilda Bagshot, Dumbledore's aunt.
"Look for any objects; those are tokens left by Dumbledore to guide us."
Before long, Krum came over, holding a phoenix tail feather.
"Ha, Fox's feathers," Moriarty laughed. "That's just like Dumbledore."
Moriarty took the phoenix tail feather and infused it with fire elemental magic.
"Whoosh!"
The feathers seemed to ignite, forming a ring of flames. Moriarty could see it clearly; unlike his fire elemental magic, this was the phoenix's rebirth fire.
"Cheers~"
Like the cry of a phoenix rising from the ashes, the phoenix's tail feathers, glowing with fire, swirled in the air, gradually forming a circular magic cave.
"Sir?" Krum asked, his voice filled with surprise. "Does it want us to go in?"
I think so.
Moriarty tried to see the other side of the magic cave, but all he saw was a sea of fire—gentle, vibrant, and positive; this was the meaning of fire.
"Let's go in and take a look."
Moriarty smirked, stepped into the magical cave of flames, and Krum patted his cheeks with both hands, gritted his teeth, and followed him in!
