The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 449 The Joys and Sorrows of New Life Are Not Shared

"This is a roaring letter!"

"Grandma must be unhappy that I was assigned to Slytherin."

Neville frantically took the red envelope.

Harry asked curiously, "What's a howling letter?"

Sabini chuckled, "Look everyone, Longbottom has received a roaring letter."

"I have to open it right away, Harry. Otherwise, something terrible will happen." Neville opened the letter, and a hoarse voice immediately came out.

"Neville Longbottom!"

The sound seemed to penetrate the ceiling, making Harry's ears hurt.

However, he recognized the voice as that of an old man.

"My grandmother." Neville made a helpless gesture.

The red envelope, like a mouth, flew to Neville's face, opening and closing as if Neville's grandmother had possessed him.

"I heard you were sorted into Slytherin, and I didn't sleep well all night!"

"Our whole family are Gryffindors, your sorting into Slytherin is a conspiracy!"

"I wrote to Dumbledore, requesting a re-sorting of the Houses!"

The letter was quickly read aloud. Neville covered his forehead and hid his face in his hands, while Sabine next to him laughed so hard he could hardly breathe.

Harry, standing up for Neville, exclaimed, "Sabinieri, has your mouth been turned into a megaphone?"

Sabine immediately started arguing with Harry, while an even louder voice echoed across the Great Hall from the Gryffindor table.

"Ronald Weasley!!!"

At first, people thought it was an explosion; the huge noise filled the entire auditorium and shook the dust off the ceiling.

The deafening roar immediately drew everyone's attention.

A red letter, exactly the same as Neville's, was a roaring letter.

At this moment, he turned to Ron and began reciting Mrs. Weasley's words incessantly.

"You deserve to be cursed!!! I was puzzled when Professor Dumbledore told us, but now I know you stole the Egyptian princess's earring!"

"You're definitely trying to deny it, but I've seen right through you, Ron. You're just a thief who loves to take advantage! I found the earring in your shirt pocket while I was doing the laundry! You can't deny it now!"

"If the princess doesn't curse you, who else should she curse?"

Ron's face was deathly pale, his eyes were vacant, but his trembling hands revealed his inner turmoil.

All the disdainful and strange looks were focused on Ron, Seamus and Dean, as if they were seeing Ron in a completely new light.

When they first heard that Ron was cursed, everyone felt sorry for him, but now, that sympathy has completely vanished.

Wizards pride themselves on being noble and elegant, but Ron's actions make him nothing short of a thief!

Ron pursed his lips, his teeth clenched, hoping the howling would end soon.

however.

"Percy wrote to me last night."

Mrs. Weasley must have been furious; her words were broken and intermittent, but a hundred times louder than usual, rattling the plates and spoons on the table and echoing deafeningly through the stone walls.

"How could you do such a despicable thing!"

"You've completely disgraced us! You probably never even considered how your father and I felt when we found out..."

I wouldn't be surprised if they fired you! Just wait and see how I deal with you then!

"Your father and I are so ashamed we almost died. We raised you with so much care and love, and we never imagined you would do something like this!!!"

"Ron Weasley, go and apologize properly! Otherwise, we'll bring you back!"

The roar stopped, but the sound still lingered in his ears. The red envelope that had fallen from Ron's hand to the ground burst into flames, curling up and turning to ash.

Ron sat there blankly, and the next second the auditorium erupted in a tidal wave of laughter.

Pansy and the other two laughed so hard they almost fell over. Neville was grateful to Ron for saving him, and Harry realized for the first time that there were freshmen even worse off than him.

Harry instantly regained his balance.

Of all the students in the auditorium, only Draco didn't laugh.

"Draco, Mom knows you've been sorted into Gryffindor. It's okay. No matter which house you're in, you'll always be my son, and always the pride of the Malfoy family..."

As Draco read the letter Narcissa had sent, his eyes gradually welled up with tears.

However, the letter ends with: "Draco, Mom hopes you can get along well with Moriarty. We'll all listen to your Uncle Moriarty..."

Draco immediately became conflicted, clenching his right fist, then relaxing it, then clenching it again...

William took in Draco's performance.

"Emotions are the perfect catalyst for a dark wizard; the hatred for killing your father and taking your mother is the potion that accelerates your growth!"

Voldemort was ecstatic.

"Draco Malfoy, you will surely become one of the first Death Eaters after the Dark Lord's resurrection!"

William is gone, and Voldemort has a new plan.

Stealing the magic stone by oneself is too much of a stretch.

Voldemort chose two henchmen.

Ron and Draco.

"Hahaha, Dumbledore, Moriarty, you didn't expect this, did you? The two new Gryffindors are the key to the Dark Lord's resurrection!"

"Ron... Hmph, inferiority and jealousy are always the best tools for manipulating people's hearts."

Voldemort didn't take Ron seriously; he had a hundred ways to toy with a little boy like Ron.

"As for Draco Malfoy..."

"If we resurrect Lucius, he'll make a choice, won't he?"

While scheming and plotting, Voldemort went back to his Defense Against the Dark Arts office to prepare his lessons.

There is a Defense Against the Dark Arts class for first-year students in the afternoon.

"Take control of Ron before that idiot gets fired!"

In the afternoon, Voldemort's plan proceeded as scheduled, and he gave Ron long-lost care and attention during class.

Ron quickly came to regard Professor William as his idol and confidant, and didn't even mind that William had graduated from Slytherin.

Draco, on the other hand, looked quite disappointed. He had thought William would take care of him, but instead, he took care of Ron instead.

Meanwhile, in an empty classroom on the second floor.

The room was filled with young wizards, students from all four houses, mostly first and second year students, with only a few upperclassmen maintaining order.

From the podium, Soldaya delivered a speech.

"Bearing Hermeticism, living up to the name of Hogwarts."

"This is the registration meeting for the Hermes Society, the only alchemy club at Hogwarts."

"The founder is Mr. Moriarty. Surely no one doesn't know Mr. Moriarty? Not knowing Mr. Moriarty at Hogwarts is like a Jew not knowing Jerusalem."

Soldaya spoke eloquently, introducing the Hermes Society to the younger students.

Among the young wizards below, Hermione sat in the back.

"Senior Penelope, your club is so excellent, do I have a chance of being selected?"

Hermione whispered that although she had memorized her first-year textbook, alchemy was clearly not a subject that could be learned by rote memorization.

Penelope looked at Hermione with a smile, "Believe in yourself, and perform as well as you did in Potions class."

"I heard everything. In the first Potions class yesterday afternoon, you answered all of Professor Snape's questions and earned 5 points for the House. Professor Snape doesn't give points easily, and students who can get points from him are all excellent students without exception."

Hermione took a few deep breaths to calm down. "Of course I will, Penelope. Just you wait and see, I'll definitely be the first Ravenclaw freshman to be admitted."

"Not only that, we Ravenclaws are going to do things the best we can. Hermione, I hope you'll be the first of the four houses to be admitted."

Penelope was very kind to Hermione because Hermione reminded her of herself when she first entered school.

This time, Penelope brought Hermione to the Hermes Society registration meeting, which was founded by Moriarty. Penelope felt that it would only benefit Hermione.

Penelope then analyzed Hermione's competitors: "Neville and Draco will definitely be signing up too. You don't need to worry about Neville. Although he is Moriarty's apprentice, he obviously hasn't learned Moriarty's amazing skills in Potions and Alchemy."

"Draco, on the other hand, is quite talented in this area. And Hannah of Hufflepuff! She's a big threat; look, here they come!"

Penelope looked toward the door, and Tonks walked in with Hannah. Penelope waved to them.

When Tonks appeared, her long legs immediately attracted everyone's attention.

Along the way, many students greeted Tonks. Tonks waved his hand and gave a mysterious smile: "Everyone is in high spirits. I have some good news for you. A mystery guest is coming later."

Penelope and Tonks exchanged a smile; they clearly both knew who it was.

Tonks and Hannah sat down next to Penelope, and Hermione looked at Hannah's two golden braids with envy.

"Let's begin. Before we register, let's do a short test."

Soldaya clapped his hands, gesturing for the students to look over, and called out, "First one, Hermione Granger!"

"what!"

Hermione stood up reflexively, took a breath to calm herself, and walked to the podium.
