The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 444 Professor Snape's Wrath

The next day, Moriarty got out of bed.

Perhaps it was during her final year at Hogwarts that Tonks' demands became particularly resolute, coupled with Violet's increasingly supple and developing body...

Only Moriarty himself knew the true meaning of it.

After waking the two women, they went to the auditorium together for breakfast.

The snakes were all present at the Slytherin table. When Lilith saw Moriarty arrive late, she exclaimed in surprise, "What's wrong? You used to be the first one to wake up in the whole castle."

Moriarty shrugged nonchalantly. "There are always some magical issues I need to think about, aren't there?"

Lilith sniffed Moriarty closely, then said suspiciously, "I don't believe you."

Seeing Tonks' radiant appearance and Violet's energetic look, who had been dozing off in the mornings for so long, Gemma understood what was going on.

She mischievously poked Moriarty's lower back twice.

A soreness appeared in my lower back.

"hiss--"

Moriarty swallowed the rest of the syllables.

"Gemma, what made you go astray too?"

Gemma chuckled and lowered her head to eat.

Moriarty quickly finished his breakfast, stood up, and walked toward Jericho and the others who were waiting for him.

Passing by Neville, who had dark circles under his eyes, I casually asked, "Neville, didn't you sleep well?"

"I'm sorry, sir," Neville replied honestly. "I'm a little excited. I thought about it a lot last night. I don't know how to write to my grandmother—she'll definitely yell at me if she finds out I've come to Slytherin."

The little snakes around them burst out laughing, but Sordaya shook his head, saying that it would affect Slytherin's reputation.

Neville lowered his head even more dejectedly. Moriarty simply patted him on the shoulder and left: "It's an inevitable part of growing up, young man."

Neville suddenly mustered his courage and finished half a bowl of oatmeal in one gulp. "Let's go, Harry. The first class for new students is Transfiguration, and Professor McGonagall is notoriously strict."

Harry nodded. He felt quite lucky to have Neville as his roommate; at least he wouldn't get points deducted by the professor for being late.

Upon hearing Neville's words, Moriarty stopped and turned back to remind him, "Be prepared for Potions class, Potter. Don't lose too many points."

After saying that, Moriarty went to his fourth-grade class. The first period was Charms, and then he had a Magical Creatures Protection class in the afternoon.

"Did you know that we have a new professor for our Magical Creatures Conservation class?" Moriarty said to the students around him.

"Huh?" Marcus was the first to express surprise, his voice tinged with excitement. "Hagrid is the new professor?"

"I must mention that you're probably the only one in the entire castle who expects Hagrid to be a professor."

Lilith's indifferent words amused all the snakes except Marcus.

Jericho asked, "Sir, who is the new professor? You surely know."

"The new professor is Polly, the centaur chieftain who built the stadium for the Five Schools League finals," Moriarty stated. "I have complete faith in her ability to handle this role."

"If it's her, it's not all that bad." Jericho's eyes glazed over as he thought of the centaur professor's ample, horse-like rump...

A group of people walked further and further away.

Harry, sitting at the long table, watched their retreating figures, utterly bewildered.

"Why did Mr. Moriarty remind me to be prepared for Potions class?"

Neville shook his head: "I don't understand either, but! You must listen to Mr. Moriarty. He said you should be prepared, and you'd better do as he says."

"Hurry up, we don't have time."

When Neville saw that the Pansy trio had left, and even that reclusive Sabini had left the Great Hall, he couldn't help but get anxious.

When Neville and Harry arrived at the Transfiguration classroom, it was already full of first-year Slytherin and Gryffindor students.

A spotted cat sat upright on the lectern.

The two breathed a sigh of relief when they saw that Professor McGonagall hadn't come, and went to sit in the last row.

When it was time for class, Harry still hadn't seen Professor McGonagall. He overheard Pansy and the other two whispering that Draco Malfoy hadn't arrived yet.

Neville also noticed that Ron Weasley was not there.

Sabine finally found someone to mock. "See! That pureblood traitor Weasley boy didn't come. He must be terrified by the curse! He might even have wet the bed."

However, no one paid him any attention.

"Bang!"

The classroom door was pushed open, and Ron and Draco rushed in, jostling and pushing each other, but it was already past class time.

"Draco!" Pansy waved happily. Draco glanced at her, then lowered his head and walked to the last row.

Ron, on the other hand, was looking for his two roommates—Simole Finigan and Dean Thomas.

Ron sat down beside them, yelling angrily, "Why didn't you wake me? You know you have class this morning!"

Seamus and Dean glanced fearfully at Ron, then shrank back to the other side, where Lavender Brown was.

Instead, she looked Ron up and down as if he were a rare and precious animal.

Ron had already read his roommates' eyes; they were afraid that Ron's curse would affect them.

Ron was prepared for Draco not to be woken up, but he never expected that he would also be isolated.

No, it's worse than isolation!

Ron noticed that both the lion cubs and the snake cubs were looking at him with strange eyes.

Suddenly, the spotted cat jumped off the lectern and transformed into Professor McGonagall.

"Weasley? And Malfoy?" Professor McGonagall asked coldly, "Explain why you're late?"

Ron and Draco blamed each other for delaying their wake-up time.

Professor McGonagall refused to listen and promptly deducted 20 points from both of them.

In the next class, Professor McGonagall assigned the task of turning matches into needles, but no one completed it by the end of get out of class.

As Seamus turned the match into a needle, he caused a small explosion, burning a patch of his hair. Ron laughed in revenge.

Harry's own matchsticks remained untouched. He saw Sabine secretly pull out a pin, and then get a fierce glare from Professor McGonagall.

Neville didn't turn into a monster, which made Harry feel much better and that he wasn't so bad after all.

The second period was Potions class.

The Potions class was in the underground classroom. Harry felt a chill run down his spine as he walked there. Once inside, he saw glass jars lined up along the walls, containing animal specimens that had been preserved inside. He swallowed hard.

"Have you seen TV?" Harry asked Neville. "They show a room like this, and the owner is usually a weird, wicked scientist."

However, he overlooked the fact that Neville didn't know what television was.

Harry was about to say something when, "Bang!"

The classroom door seemed to be kicked open, and Harry thought a cannonball had come, almost giving him a heart attack.

Professor Snape strode in, picked up the roster, and began calling out names.

Surprisingly, Professor Snape called on Gryffindor first. When he called on Draco, his eyebrows were raised high, while Draco kept his head down, looking ashamed.

Finally, when it came to Slytherin and Harry, Professor Snape stopped.

Harry peeked over and met Spellbear's gaze. Harry was sure he saw the murderous intent in Spellbear's eyes!

A sense of foreboding washed over Harry; he felt this lesson wasn't going to go too well.

"Oh, yes," Steve whispered, as if he had a piece of meat in his mouth, "Ha~ Ray-Potter—this is our new—very famous person—"

Each word was drawn out with a long, drawn-out ending. When Pansy heard that the Church also called Harry "Potter," she sneered, and even Draco looked up.

Harry lowered his head, trying his best not to show himself, because his intuition told him that Professor Snape hated him, loathed him, and even despised him.

After Professor Snape finished his brief opening remarks, the entire class fell silent.

"Potter!" Snape exclaimed without warning. "What would I get if I added narcissus root powder to wormwood infusion?"

what?

Harry turned his head to the left and right, hoping to get some clues, but Neville sat upright with his head bowed low.

Harry had no choice but to stand up and speak.

"I don't know, Professor."

"You don't know," Professor Snape said, emphasizing his words.

"Let's try again, Pott!" Professor Snape's voice echoed through the ground. "If I asked you to find me a dung heap, where would you find it?"

Harry found it incomprehensible; he had no idea what a dungstone was.

"I don't know, Professor."

To answer calmly, Harry tried not to look at Pansy, Sabine, and Nott, who were all shaking with laughter.

Professor Snape curled his lip in disdain.

"I bet you didn't even open a single book before school started, did you? Poot!"

Harry forced himself to stare directly into the Dursleys's indifferent eyes. He had indeed gone through all the textbooks at the Dursleys' house, but he had been in a terrible mood last night and couldn't remember anything.

At this moment, Stanford stared blankly into Harry's emerald green eyes.

He opened his mouth, as if to say, "Your eyes are like your mother's."

He hadn't seen his beloved's eyes for 11 years. The beautiful memories of her had transcended time and space, making him both sad and angry.

"Damn Potter!"

He cursed inwardly, never hiding his hatred for James Potter.

If it weren't for Potter, Lily wouldn't have died.

This child...

It won't happen.

When Harry was sorted into Slytherin, Snape showed great anger. He had already been disgusted enough by one bastard in his youth and could not tolerate another bastard continuing to disgust him in his own house.

What's worse, this Potter is the only child of his beloved Lily and his rival Potter!

Stan stared at Harry for a while, his complicated feelings preventing him from asking the question.

"Sit down!" he yelled at Harry. "Let me tell you, Pott!"

"Narcissus root powder and mugwort can be combined to make a very potent sleeping pill, which is called 'life-or-death water'."

Yes, I am sorry for Lily's death.

He blinked and continued, his anger seemingly lessened.

"Dung stones are stones taken from the stomachs of goats and have a very strong detoxifying effect."

"Do you understand now? Why don't you write all of this down?"

Harry sat down as if granted a pardon, and proceeded to be cautious in the following classes, determined not to make a single mistake.

What made him feel somewhat better was that all the students had been criticized by the church, except for Draco.

Harry saw Stalin pat Draco on the shoulder, and they whispered something to each other.

When it was time to brew the medicine, the church divided the students into pairs. Harry and Neville were in one pair, and while they were brewing the medicine, an explosion occurred in the other pair, Ron and Seamus.

Seemingly in retaliation for his roommate not waking him up, Ron somehow burned Seamus's cauldron into a crooked mess, spilling the potion inside onto the stone floor and burning holes in Dean's shoes next to it.

When the crucible was overturned, Simo was soaked in the medicine, and his arms and legs were covered with red, swollen boils, making him scream in pain.

"Idiot!" Snape roared, brandishing his wand and cleaning everything.

"I think you probably put the porcupine quills in without removing the crucible from the fire, didn't you?"

Simon shook his head, crying, while Ron gloated. But Dean stepped forward and said that Ron did it on purpose, out of revenge.

While having them taken to the school hospital, the instructor deducted 20 points from Ron's score.

Then he turned to Harry and yelled, "Pott! Why didn't you tell him not to put the porcupine quills in? Did you think he made a mistake and that made you look good?"

"Your performance was absolutely terrible! Being sorted into Slytherin was a mistake! If I were you, I'd be back in Muggle as soon as possible!"

"Slytherin has lost 1 point for your poor performance in this lesson!"
