The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 385 Peeping into the Soul?

Chapter 385 Peeking into the Soul? (Have a nice weekend!)

Ye Jingyu's tone was serious as he looked at Moriarty.

"Cranial deformity has always been an uncontrollable element in human deformity surgery."

"The most difficult and hardest thing to transform in Animagus transfiguration is the head."

"If a person's whole body remains unchanged except for their head, it means that their soul is different from others."

"You, Moriarty Slytherin."

"Do you know, your head has become too big; it's the accumulation of endless knowledge, the destination of countless spells."

Night Watchman's gaze upon Moriarty was filled with aggression and possessiveness, his tone tinged with greed.

"Then you grew horns—I grew them too, and I know all too well what that is. It's ambition, a growing ambition that spreads and one day will cover the entire sky!"

Ye Jingyu's voice became louder, his back lifted off the chair, and his tone was full of fervor.

"Horns grew and formed a crown on your head."

"A crown represents power, status, wealth..."

"Without a doubt, you possess all of these qualities, which is something you're quite similar to me in."

"In that case, your soul will be laid bare before me."

Ye Jingyu sat back down, looking completely confident of victory.

Moriarty stared at him coldly, a deep sense of dread rising within him.

Dark elemental magic even has the magical ability to probe souls!

However, Ye Jingyu's words, though seemingly mystical, are not entirely accurate.

He didn't reveal his origins, at least not.

Clearly, he hadn't truly seen through the soul. Dark elemental magic might indeed be able to peek into the soul, but Ye Jingyu had only seen through other people's desires.

Having figured this out, Moriarty's face showed a dismissive expression.

Ye Jingyu frowned slightly. "You look down on the ability I'm so proud of?"

"Moriarty, I know you don't believe me. People like you and me can't easily believe what others say."

"But what about you, Jericho?"

"You don't remember what you looked like when you turned into a monster. Let me help you remember."

Ye Jingyu smiled and turned his gaze to Jericho.

Jericho's heart skipped a beat. Ye Jingyu had spoken so convincingly before, but now it was his turn?

"You're very interesting, really, you're so interesting." Ye Jingyu's smile widened as he recalled Jericho's monstrous appearance.

"That monster isn't much different from you; it's like a larger version of you."

What does this mean?

"This shows that you are too confident and too stubborn."

"You'll keep doing what you've set your mind to."

"And your physical body is really strong."

"You should know that wizards are usually high in attack and low in defense. Without a wand, a wizard can be easily slit in the throat with a kitchen knife."

"But you're different."

Ye Jingyu looked at Jericho with the same gaze an ancient monarch would give to a rare and powerful general.

Ye Jingyu felt a surge of appreciation for talent: Jericho, what a perfect bodyguard!

Jericho felt uneasy under their gaze, while Moriarty continued to observe the night view.

"Snapped!"

Ye Jingyu snapped his fingers and became excited again.

He stared intently at Jericho: "If that's all, it's not enough to make me look at you differently."

"Do you know what you're wearing on your head?"

"A mask, a large silver and pink mask!"

"It's completely covered your head, hahaha!"

Ye Jingyu suddenly burst into laughter, "Silver represents nobility, pink represents your inner enjoyment of being the center of attention, your love of being in the limelight, and your liking for being admired by others!"

"But you haven't revealed a single one of these deep-seated thoughts! You've hidden yourself very well! You're a person who wears a mask!"

Jericho's expression changed, and he lowered his head deeply. From Moriarty's perspective, he could just see a sinister glint flash in Jericho's eyes.

I remember Dumbledore saying that Jericho's smile used to look like he was wearing a mask.

As expected, Ye Jingyu could see into other people's deeper desires, not into their souls as he claimed.

"Ha ha ha ha!"

A deafening burst of laughter erupted.

Ye Jingyu clutched his stomach, laughing so hard he could barely breathe, and pointed at Jericho, saying, "You...you're just too funny..."

Jericho slowly raised his head and said slowly, "You find it interesting?"

"Hmm, this is very interesting." Ye Jingyu watched Jericho continue to laugh, then suddenly the laughter stopped abruptly, and he became serious, his eyes becoming empty.

"Because I'm just like you."

Ye Jingyu stared intently at Jericho, as if he were seeing his former self.

Jericho frowned slightly, carefully considering the meaning behind Ye Jingyu's words.

Ye Jingyu spoke, his voice hoarse as if something was stuck in his throat.

"I used to wear a mask too."

"I used to be a passionate young man just like you."

"Gradually, I realized that my ambitions and ideals could never be realized in Japan."

"Back then, the mask protected me. I hid all my ambitions and ideals in my heart, otherwise you wouldn't be able to see me now."

"Until I traveled the world and met the prophet..."

Night View Royal, which had been so dull before, became enthusiastic again.

"He introduced me to the human soul and led me to a completely different magical world!"

"Moriarty," Ye Jingyu suddenly looked at Moriarty, "Are you curious about why I went behind the scenes and pushed that good-for-nothing Genya out to stir up the magic world of Japan?"

"I'm telling you this because I'm certain I'm the one who will save the magical world of Japan, and perhaps even, I am the god of the entire world!"

"Click!"

Ye Jingyu stood up abruptly, knocking over his chair. He raised his hands high, tilted his head back, and his face flushed red with excitement.

Moriarty and Jericho blinked, staring at Ye Jingyu.

"You're not a god, you're insane," Moriarty frankly expressed his heartfelt feelings.

“That’s right,” Jericho nodded in agreement, pointing at Ye Jingyu and saying to Moriarty, “He probably has that serious illness.”

"We should go take a look."

"I know one of the best psychiatrists in America. I can contact him. Whether he can cure me or not depends on Merlin's blessing."

"It's hard to say; his condition is already in its late stages."

Moriarty and Jericho chatted back and forth, laughing easily, instantly breaking the oppressive atmosphere created by the night view.

Even Ye Jingyu let out a laugh.

He straightened the chair and sat down again.

"I truly admire you all," Ye Jingyu said, feigning appreciation for talent. "Tsk, what a pity... Oh right, what about that little girl who's always by Moriarty's side?"

"I remember the three of you were always together. It was the three of you again last time in Japan."

Moriarty frowned slightly: "You mean Lilith? You'd better stay away from her."

"Yes, that's her," Ye Jingyu clapped his hands and said with great interest, "Miss Lilith, she's quite interesting too."

"Her monstrous appearance also left a deep impression on me."

Nightscape Intriguingly remarked, "Lilith's legs have become incredibly long and large, reaching a full twelve meters in length!"

"Many numbers in the magical world have specific meanings. Gradually, you will discover that the number twelve is very magical."

Ye Jingyu seemed to remember something, a look of understanding flashing in his eyes.

Moriarty and Jericho exchanged a glance; in real life, the number 12 is not common.

"And Lilith? Her legs grew long and big, representing her desire to cross mountains and rivers, to overcome all obstacles."

"This little witch is really something else."

"It is rare for a young wizard to think about questions that even an adult wizard would not think about at the age of 12 or 13."

"She's like you, Moriarty. But you're different; you're two different kinds of people."

Ye Jingyu's tone changed again, becoming serious, even showing a hint of apprehension.

"Your rights and status come from your brain, from your knowledge."

"And Lilith, she can gain a lot, and all of that comes from her actions."

"I even have an urge to strangle her."

"One day, she will become a threat to you and me."

"Someone like her..."

Moriarty had no desire to hear Ye Jingyu continue, so he interrupted him.

"After listening to you talk so much, I've noticed two things."

"Oh?" Ye Jingyu was not angry at all for being interrupted, and looked at Moriarty with a clear mind.

"First, you are very narcissistic."

"Secondly, don't compare yourself to me."
