The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 379 Mad-Eye Moody
Chapter 379 Mad-Eye Moody (Bonus chapter for He Jiajun, the first elder in this book)
Moriarty returned to his own lower jungle to farm, earning 60 gold, a defensive stone tablet, and a bush-spotting mirror.
When you reach the Goblin level, Moriarty tells a story about Umbridge being ridden by centaurs, and you get an extra 400 Goblin coins.
That gives you 800 little goblin coins, but I don't know what you can do with them.
After clearing the jungle monsters, Moriarty returned to the base to buy some items from the merchant.
He wouldn't go down the bottom lane; Jericho was facing Iphamoni's student, and with Jericho's abilities, he could handle anyone with ease.
Back at the base, Moriarty asked the merchant, "I have 160 magic coins and 800 goblin coins. What items can I buy with that?"
A smile forced onto the merchant's wrinkled face: "Ten goblin coins can be exchanged for one magic coin."
So this is ah.
Moriarty placed the goblin's gold coins into the merchant's outstretched palm. "Exchange them all."
A hole appeared in the merchant's palm, swallowed the goblin's gold coin, and sent out 80 magic gold coins.
Moriarty took the gold coins and said, "Now I have 240 magic gold coins."
"I'm very sorry, you don't have enough gold coins to buy the items here," the merchant said regretfully. "Please gather some more gold coins."
Moriarty listened without saying anything.
Keep in mind that he got gold from three jungle camps, plus extra gold from the pixie, while the others haven't even gotten a single jungle camp's treasure.
"It seems that magical items are precious and scarce. In Magic Canyon, gold coins are hard to come by, which is different from the nature of the game."
Before the second round of treasures had even refreshed, Moriarty decided to check out the special presence in the jungle.
Defeating special beings can provide him with a buff, something Moriarty is eagerly anticipating.
Moriarty chose the special location in the bottom jungle. He walked through the bushes of green grass and came to a wide lawn, where he saw a wizard.
He had dark gray hair, his face was covered with scars, and one eye was small, black, and like a bead.
The other eye is large and round, with a bright blue color, clearly not the human eye.
Moreover, he was missing a leg, which was replaced by a wooden prosthetic leg.
This unsettling appearance reminded Moriarty of who he was.
"Alastor Moody".
Dumbledore actually invited him too!
Moriarty sized up Moody.
As a distinguished old Auror, Moody is undoubtedly a heavyweight wizard.
In the 70s, dark wizards were rampant, and Moody was their nightmare and the Auror Division's star.
Defeating him should grant a very powerful buff, right?
"Mr. Moody, I won't stand on ceremony."
Moriarty took out his Slytherin staff, aimed it at Moody, his robes fluttering. Without chanting a spell, the green grass beneath Moody's feet grew wildly as if injected with hormones.
Moody's magic eye began to spin rapidly; this eye could see through things. Moriarty waved his magic circle, creating a thick fog.
With his view blocked, the green grass beneath his feet had formed a cage, threatening to imprison Moody inside.
But Moody remained calm in the face of danger. He aimed his wand at the wildly growing green grass and transformed it into hundreds of yellow vines as thick as an arm, which he then used to strike Moriarty.
Moriarty moved nimbly, dodging the vines one after another, and swung his staff horizontally like a sword.
"The sword's edge is sharp!"
Slytherin family magic.
And—"The Divine Blade is Without a Shadow!"
Professor Snape's signature spell.
The two spells severed the vines, and Moody then turned the vines into pebbles, which flew up and fell from the sky.
"Grow bigger quickly!"
Moody made a gruff sound and made the flying stone very large.
To restrict Moriarty's movements, Moody used three spells in one go.
"Sand and stones flying everywhere!"
"Legs stiffen and he dies!"
"Grinning widely!"
Very ordinary spells, forming an undefendable chain of spells.
A hint of admiration flashed in Moriarty's eyes. As expected of a seasoned Auror, the combination of simple spells produced an incredible effect.
His legs were bound, and all he could see was dust. If it were anyone else, they would have been crushed to death by falling rocks.
Sensing the whooshing sound of falling rocks overhead, Moriarty raised his staff high, unleashing a burst of water elemental magic.
A pale blue light emerged from the tip of the staff, rapidly expanding and emitting a dazzling brilliance.
The flying stones were covered by water elemental magic and turned into water bullets. Moriarty twisted his wrist, and the water bullets shot towards Moody with a "whoosh".
"Super-strong armor protects you!"
Moody had long heard of Moriarty's elemental magic, and he was resentful when he heard some of his friends praising Moriarty.
The magic he learned and used was traditional, so when Dumbledore invited him to be a special presence in the canyon, he immediately agreed.
Moody wanted to see Moriarty's magic for himself, so when faced with the water bomb, he chose the Ironclad Charm, which had helped him resist the dark wizard's curses countless times.
The result, however, greatly disappointed Moody.
There were too many water bullets. At first, the Ironclad Curse could block them, but it was quickly overwhelmed.
Moody's eyes were filled with disbelief, but his body reacted instinctively.
It rolled to the left, dodging the splashing water bullets, and then used the power of its wooden legs to jump up.
"Extremely painful!"
A thick, red spell shot out towards Moriarty like a laser.
Moody does not want to use the unforgivable curse on students.
However, when his life is in danger, he will make hundreds of subconscious actions. The Unforgivable Curse is Moody's most trusted attack spell.
Moriarty understood him, but his men showed no mercy.
First, a bubble was placed over the Crucifixion, and Moody watched helplessly as his spell slowly dissolved inside the bubble.
Then Moriarty drew a circle in front of him with his staff, and with a "whoosh," flames burst forth.
The circle, like a heavenly gate, slowly opened from the center, and a phoenix made of fire element flew out.
The phoenix spread its wings, bringing with it a dazzling brilliance, its target clearly Moody, the flames on its wings subtly distorting the space around it.
Moody's demonic eyes darted around rapidly, while his true eyes remained closed; the phoenix's flames were too intense for him to look directly at.
"Avada Kedavra..." Moody took a deep breath. He knew only the Killing Curse could defeat the Phoenix. "Avada Kedavra!"
The curse vanished with a flash of green light, and the phoenix swallowed the curse, gradually decaying.
"call……"
Moody took a few deep breaths and looked at Moriarty with apprehension.
The young man before him possessed unprecedented strength, far exceeding Moody's expectations.
He had already used the Killing Curse, yet he hadn't even managed to touch Moriarty's wizard robes.
"Moriarty Slytherin," Moody whispered, his eyes fixed on Moriarty, "Prepare for my attack!"
His eyes widened, and Moriarty sensed that he was gathering a powerful spiritual force.
"Disarm you!"
Moody suddenly raised his wrist and cast a spell.
Moriarty dared to say that this was the most powerful disarming spell he had ever seen; if it were used on someone else, it could probably shatter their wrist.
Moody's attack was not over yet. He strode toward Moriarty, his wrists twitching incessantly, chanting spells as he recklessly unleashed one spell after another from his wand.
"Torn apart!"
"The Divine Blade is Without a Shadow!"
"Thunderous explosion!"
"Fierce flames!"
"Extremely painful!"
"The soul leaves the body!"
"Crushed to pieces!"
"The skull is swollen!"
"Loose leg bones!"
"The lock-on is blind!"
"Blood Curse Orc!"
……
Moody went berserk, and apart from the disarming spell, all thirty-odd spells were extremely powerful dark magic!
Knowing that ordinary spells would not work on Moriarty, he used the dark magic he had learned over thirty years of practice, fighting against hundreds and thousands of dark wizards.
There were even a few malevolent spells with curses!
Moriarty initially countered Moody's attack with the same spell.
Later, when they saw Moody using dark magic, they exclaimed, "Is this some kind of good thing?"
Moriarty wouldn't miss any opportunity to learn magic. He slowed down his attack speed, and the alchemy matrix was running at high speed as he learned Moody's magic.
He memorized all the ways to wield the staff and the incantations of black magic.
Moody was exhausted when he realized this; he had used nearly a hundred spells but hadn't even broken through Moriarty's defenses.
"Huff, huff..."
Moody gasped for breath like a blower, looking as if he had no more breaths left.
Moriarty, having squeezed enough, raised his staff.
"Mr. Moody, thank you for your spell. As a sign of respect, I will defeat you with Slytherin's most iconic magic!"
"Slytherin Magic Circle, Ice Serpent Dance!"
