The mastermind behind Hogwarts

Chapter 361 Meetings and Letters

Chapter 361 Meetings and Letters

The eighth floor of the castle.

The corridor was deserted and silent.

There's obviously no one here.

That's how it appears on the surface.

In fact, Moriarty and Kuno have already arrived.

Since learning the Disillusionment Charm in his first year, Moriarty has used it for all his nighttime adventures in the castle.

There were still ten minutes until midnight. Moriarty had a habit: when meeting someone he didn't know well, he would always arrive at the agreed location in advance to scout it out.

Even though Nine could not pose a threat to Moriarty, Moriarty always felt that Nine was a bit strange in the round-robin tournament.

Jiu Neng's magic power seems to have increased several times over. Even if he drank a magic power-enhancing potion, it's impossible for it to increase by that much.

Clearly, Nine has become strange, and Moriarty is wary of this meeting.

After walking silently down the corridor for a while, Moriarty noticed traces of magic remaining on the walls.

On several murals, there are remnants of special detective magic.

The magic is fading away little by little.

Although extremely subtle, it had nowhere to hide from Moriarty's mind, which possessed an alchemical matrix.

Aha.

Moriarty curled the corners of his mouth into a smile.

Someone has been here.

And that person didn't get out of the corridor, they're still here!

Moriarty looked around but found nothing.

Did they also use the Disillusionment Charm?

Even ordinary wizards, using illusion spells or invisibility magic, cannot escape Moriarty's perception.

It is clear that the wizard who came to cast the spell on the eighth floor was no ordinary person.

Could it be Jiu Neng?

After a slight pause, Moriarty released his water elemental magic, and in an instant, the temperature dropped to freezing point, turning the corridor into a frozen wasteland.

Suddenly, a human-shaped ice sculpture appeared at the edge of the corridor, covered in frost. If Moriarty had been a step slower, the person would have escaped in the next moment.

Moriarty walked towards him. Was he Nine Powers? Why was he casting a spell on the wall?

Is it for the House of Requirement?

Moriarty walked up to the ice sculpture.

"Whoosh!"

A ball of flame burst out from the ice sculpture, burning away the ice and snow, and a wizard jumped out.

"Moriarty Slytherin!"

A glint of black light flashed in Jiu Neng's eyes as he said, "I know it's you. Stop hiding, come out!"

He kept looking around, and apart from Moriarty, no wizard in the castle could turn a person into an ice sculpture in an instant.

As Jiu searched, he secretly cursed his bad luck.

He arrived a long time ago.

Recently, Jiu Neng has been searching for a house that grants all requests!

Otherwise, he wouldn't have arranged to meet Jericho at midnight tomorrow.

Besides wanting to know if Jericho really had a falling out with Moriarty, he also wanted to get the way to enter the Room of Requirement from Jericho's brain!

That's right, Kuno is no longer the Kuno Tōgō of the past!

Instead, he was possessed by another wizard, and his entire being had become that wizard's puppet.

At this moment, Jiu Neng pretended to be furious, acting as if he were a little wizard who had been tricked.

Moriarty observed Kunon for a minute with great interest, and was not fooled by Kunon's performance.

Aside from Dumbledore and the Lady of the Ventura clan, the only people in the castle who could deceive him were...

Moriarty couldn't think of a third person.

Of all people, this one just happened to appear!

So from the very beginning, Moriarty knew that Nine was strange.

He walked up to Jiu Neng and dispelled the illusion spell. Jiu Neng was clearly startled, then growled angrily, "You lured me out just to play a trick on me?"

"Trying to trick you?" Moriarty retorted. "You're a big shot, what's a little trick to you?"

Jiu Neng was still pretending, shaking his head speechlessly and angrily, seemingly trying his best to suppress his anger: "Fine, the school strictly forbids us from having conflicts with you European wizards, so I guess I'm just unlucky! Okay?"

Moriarty stared at Jiu Neng for a few seconds, and those few seconds made Jiu Neng feel uneasy, as if Moriarty had already seen through his disguise.

Just as Jiu Neng was about to harbor evil intentions, Moriarty smiled slightly: "Just kidding."

Nine breathed a sigh of relief. His purpose in possessing the body was simply to hear what Moriarty had to say and to investigate Jericho.

Jiu doesn't want to tear off the disguise until the very last moment.

"But it's not a joke either."

Moriarty's next words made Jiu Neng's expression turn serious.

"What exactly do you want to do!" Jiu asked through gritted teeth.

"It seems my magic has made you quite nervous," Moriarty said with a smile. "How about it, can you feel the power of my magic?"

"That's my elemental magic!"

"Unique, water elemental magic!"

"Think about it carefully, your professor, Genya."

"And your classmates too."

"Is their so-called elemental magic as powerful as one of my casual little spells?"

"I don't know how they learned elemental magic, but there's no doubt that theirs is all pirated!"

Join me!

"Come, I will teach you true elemental magic."

Moriarty placed a hand on Jiu Neng's shoulder, his eyes filled with sincerity.

Instead, they couldn't figure out how to handle Jiu Neng.

"Uh...you, you? That's all you wanted to tell me?"

Jiu Neng stammered for a moment, a mocking glint flashing in his eyes.

Moriarty, Moriarty, if it were the real Nine, who was easily defeated by you in the round-robin tournament and has now been brainwashed, they might actually join you!

It's a pity I'm not Jiu Neng!

Not only that, I also know your secrets, Moriarty!

You may not know this, but your every move in Japan is under my surveillance!

Next, I need to use you to help me accomplish something.

hum.

Nine was filled with mockery and scheming towards Moriarty, completely unaware that Moriarty had seen through his expression.

I originally wanted to expose your disguise and see who was really in control of the Nine Powers.

But I've changed my mind. Instead of exposing you and then investigating you, I'd rather let you keep pretending and see what you're up to!

In the end, no matter what you do, when you find out that I'm the one who's taking the spoils of victory, your expression will be quite interesting, won't it?

Moriarty quickly came up with a plan.

The two people, each with their own thoughts, looked at each other and smiled simultaneously.

Nine was the first to speak: "Oh dear, I thought Mr. Moriarty, the head of Slytherin, was going to do something to me! I didn't expect him to invite me—I'm so lucky!"

Moriarty then asked, "So you're saying you agree? I have a plan for the magical world of Japan."

"I can join you, but you have to help me find the House of Requirement!" Nine said bluntly.

It truly is a house that grants every wish.

Moriarty thought to himself, "I guessed right. And now that Jiu Neng is sure I want to invite him, the plan can proceed."

"I can help you find the Room of Requirement, but you have to do me a favor."

Jiu Neng was very interested: "What kind of help?"

Moriarty stepped back slightly, his voice low and irritated.

"You know Jericho Blanche, right? That little American bastard, the one who hangs out with Tokugawa from your school."

Jiu Neng laughed and said, "I know, this matter has caused quite a stir. I heard that Jericho used to be your subordinate, but now he's been bewitched by Tokugawa Yua and is opposing you. Has he really betrayed you?"

A glint of light flashed almost imperceptibly in Jiu Neng's eyes. Even now, he still couldn't believe that Jericho had betrayed Moriarty.

He could clearly see the perfect teamwork between Moriarty, Jericho, and Lilith in Japan.

"That's exactly what I'm talking about!" Moriarty snorted. "I considered him a brother, and he turned against me for a woman! If you can bring him and that woman to me, I'll take you to the Room of Requirement!"

"Just capture them?" Jiu Neng asked doubtfully. "With your strength and status at Hogwarts, capturing Jericho and Tokugawa would be a piece of cake, wouldn't it?"

"That's right, but I can't intervene, nor can I let anyone from our school do it," Moriarty explained. "Just as your school has set rules for you, Hogwarts has set rules for us."

"Oh, I see." Kuno suddenly realized, "The reason they looked for me is because Tokugawa and I went to the same school."

"That's right, and with Jericho and Tokugawa mixed together, it'll be easier for you to make your move." Moriarty looked like he had already thought it all out.

"Tch," Jiu Neng laughed disdainfully, "That bitch Tokugawa, she pretends to be innocent on the surface, but she's as black as coal! Only that idiot Jericho treats her like a treasure; he's practically been cuckolded a mountain!"

"Haha," Moriarty laughed, "So, you agree?"

"Hmm," Kuno nodded, a meaningful look in his eyes, "If I told you that I could bring Jericho and Tokugawa to you right now, could you take me to the Room of Requirement immediately?"

Oh?

Moriarty narrowed his eyes, feigning a moment of surprise, then nodded and said, "No problem, if you can do it, so can I!"

"Alright, after you take me to the House of Requirement, I'll join you immediately." Nine appeared kind, but in his heart he was thinking, "If you take me to the House of Requirement, your death is not far off!"

Moriarty confidently declared, "Join me, and I'll teach you real elemental magic right away!"

What he was thinking was: "You've brought this person before me, so your death is not far off!"

The two smiled at each other again, and the agreement was reached!

"It's getting late, I need to go back, otherwise my classmates will get suspicious," Jiu Neng said first.

"See you tomorrow," Moriarty said meaningfully.

"See you tomorrow."

After a perfunctory farewell, Moriarty returned to his single room and wrote a letter to Jericho.

The letter described in detail what happened that night!

Later, Moriarty added a plan that he came up with on the spot.

Finally, he signed his name, Mr. Wick.

This is a name known only to wizards who have experienced those events in Japan.

It is perfectly safe to use at Hogwarts.

Moriarty handed the letter to Poseidon, and the little snow owl seemed quite puzzled that the address was Hogwarts.

Moriarty patted his little head. "Go, Poseidon. If the plan goes well, many things will be clear by tomorrow."
