"You look so anxious that I thought the plane had crashed and everyone on board had perished," Moriarty said sarcastically.

"Oh no!" Simon cried out again upon hearing "the plane crashed and everyone died."

Simon shook his head in anguish. "You're new to Japan, you don't know—since last night, five flights at Haneda International Airport have been delayed."

All passengers on both planes have been stranded at the airport for 16 hours.

"That's right."

Moriarty frowned, sensing that this matter was not simple.

Generally speaking, when a flight is delayed, passengers will choose to leave the airport as soon as they arrive at their destination.

Stranded at the airport? What kind of operation is this?!

Meeting Moriarty's questioning gaze, Simon explained, "The passengers on both planes were not staying at the airport voluntarily; they were forcibly detained!"

"What's the reason?"

"The order came from the Japanese government," Simon said wearily. "The reason? It's said to be related to flight delays."

It is said that the person who caused the flight delay was on the plane, and in order to catch this person, the Japanese government sealed off the airport.

"So what are you worried about?" Moriarty asked, puzzled. "Even if the flight is delayed, your wife and daughter will still arrive in Tokyo."

Moreover, under the protection of the Japanese government, they will be very safe.

“But I know about wizards, I know about the magical world,” Simon said, his expression turning serious. “Strictly speaking, I’m half a person from the magical world.”

Moriarty's eyes flashed with a meaningful look. "So? You mean you're being targeted by people in the magical world?"

Simon seemed to have made a great decision, and he let out a breath.

"Yes, Wick, I think so, I'm being watched."

Simon nervously looked around as countless Japanese Muggles surged toward Ginza from all directions.

After confirming that there was no danger around, Simon lowered his voice.

"From the moment I accepted the invitation from the head of the Tokugawa family and left Isabel, unexpected things have always happened around me."

I initially thought those accidents were just coincidences or that I was simply unlucky, but I gradually realized that these accidents were aimed at me.

So I went to Tokyo first, and had my wife and daughter follow later; I didn't want to involve them.

But unexpectedly, something still happened to them!

Simon choked up, and Moriarty could tell he was telling the truth.

What attracted the ghouls and giant squid on the cruise ship wasn't the Great Song Divine Decree, but Simon!

Or perhaps, the ghouls and giant squid were sent to hunt down Simon!

One of Moriarty's doubts was resolved, but another doubt arose.

What exactly is hidden within Simon that warrants someone going to such lengths to target him?

Remembering that this was Japan, Moriarty initially suspected the Japanese boss.

If that's the case, keeping Simon by your side is the best course of action.

"Cheer up, Simon."

Moriarty patted Simon on the shoulder and looked at him, saying slowly and deliberately, "I'll take you to Haneda International Airport. We'll wait for your wife and daughters there."

"Are you serious?" Simon's eyes were glistening with tears; it was hard to imagine a grown man crying like this.

Upon receiving Moriarty's affirmative reply, Simon jumped up excitedly and opened his arms, wanting to give Moriarty a hug.

Moriarty refused, turned around and removed the petrification effect from the Slit-Mouthed Woman. They then exchanged a few words, and the Slit-Mouthed Woman nodded.

"Very well, I allow you to stay with me for now." Moriarty turned and walked into Ginza. The Slit-Mouthed Woman hummed in agreement and followed behind Moriarty.

"Wait for me, Wick, where are you going?"

Simon ran behind, shouting.

Moriarty's calm voice came from ahead: "There's still more than an hour until 12:30, and the plane will be delayed, so what can we do at the airport now?"

You can't do anything; you'll just waste time.

Understanding the reasons for flight delays before the flight arrives is crucial to addressing the problem at its source.

Upon hearing Moriarty's suggestion to address the flight delays at their source, Simon immediately perked up and ran to Moriarty, asking, "What can I do for you?"

"Gather information."

Moriarty strode into a building.

The Slit-Mouthed Woman followed closely behind, wearing a mask and looking exactly like a normal person.

Simon looked at the displays on the first floor of the building and asked, puzzled, "It looks like this is a shopping mall, a place to buy things, Wick."

"Ginza is the most bustling place in Tokyo. There are all kinds of people here, and you can get all kinds of information about Japan out of them."

Moriarty smiled as he swept his gaze across the bustling crowd. In his previous life, when he was on missions in Japan, his favorite place was Ginza.

"You have two hours to gather information about the recent incident at Haneda International Airport and the reasons for the delays of five flights. We'll meet here in two hours."

After saying this, Moriarty transformed into a typical Japanese person in front of Simon and the Slit-Mouthed Woman, and walked towards the dense crowd.

Upon seeing the Slit-Mouthed Woman of Magic, she was so surprised that she couldn't speak. If it weren't for her small face, her mouth would probably have opened even wider.

Simon called out to Moriarty's retreating figure, "Hey, which one is your real face?"

Moriarty turned back with a mysterious smile and quickly disappeared into the crowd.

Simon had no choice but to gather intelligence.

Two hours later, the three of them gathered together.

Moriarty summarized and organized the information he had gathered, then led Simon and the Slit-Mouthed Woman out of the building and into a quiet alley.

"Hold on to the hem of my suit jacket."

Simon and the Slit-Mouthed Woman did as instructed, and Moriarty used Apparition.

With a crisp "snap," Moriarty and his two companions appeared on an open space outside Haneda International Airport.

Simon and the Slit-Mouthed Woman, experiencing Apparition for the first time, felt dizzy and fell to the ground, vomiting repeatedly.

Moriarty cast the Disillusionment Charm on them and himself in turn, then looked toward the airport terminal.

Haneda International Airport has three terminals, all brightly lit and full of passengers. A soldier stands guard on either side of each window.

"Even the military has been mobilized."

Moriarty increasingly felt that something was amiss. What had happened on the delayed flight that made the Japanese government go so far as to seal off the airport?

Ten minutes later, Simon and the Slit-Mouthed Woman recovered, and the three of them headed towards the airport.

Under Moriarty's magic, they slipped into the first terminal building without any obstacles.

"The arrival time of the LJN flight is still uncertain," Moriarty said to Simon, pointing to the notice on the big screen.

Simon sighed, his heart filled with worry.

"I will keep waiting."

"Then you'd better wait in Terminal 3. It's full and they won't accept any new passengers."

Moriarty pointed to the scrolling text on the big screen, indicating that passengers on flight LJN and the other seven flights would exit the airport through Terminal 3.

Simon nodded with a complicated expression and asked, "I suddenly remembered, are the passengers here going to spend the night?"

"Most likely," Moriarty frowned slightly. "Judging from the current situation, the army will not withdraw until the reason for the flight delays is clarified."

"That was terrible! Thank goodness we have you, Wick!"

Simon looked excited.

Moriarty didn't speak, but led the two towards the door. However, at the edge of the door, he sensed a familiar magical fluctuation!

"Hmm?" Moriarty looked towards the door following the magical fluctuations. There was no one there, but the magical fluctuations were definitely there, and they were becoming more and more obvious.

Generally, only the following two factors can cause this situation.

First, there is one or a group of wizards hiding nearby.

Second, there is a large-scale magic nearby!

Moriarty leans towards the first possibility: a wizard is lurking nearby, the method of concealment is unknown, but it is most likely a Disillusionment Charm.

He was very familiar with this magical fluctuation; although it had a slightly cold aura, its essential purity and beauty remained unchanged.

A ghostly snake, as thick as a finger, crawled out of Moriarty's sleeve and onto the ground, quickly disappearing along with the magic.

Before long, the serpent found the source of the magical fluctuations.

It's not far from Moriarty, just behind Terminal 1.

Moriarty used the serpent's magic to sense someone hiding behind the wall, peeking out cautiously.

Judging from her body parts, she should be a teenage girl.

Moriarty smirked, commanding the serpent to crawl onto the girl's neck, then extended its tongue and gently licked it.

The girl was startled and, relying on her senses, grabbed the ghostly snake in shock and anger. She looked at it for a few moments, and a look of surprise appeared on her face.

She carefully placed the ghostly snake on the ground, and the snake crawled away, with her following behind.

The serpent crawled up to Moriarty, stretched out its head, and stuck out its tongue at the invisible Moriarty.

The girl understood the serpent's meaning and softly said to the air in front of her, "Moriarty?"

"Moriarty—is that you?"

Guess who the girl is~
