I'm sorry, but your fiancé loves me.

Chapter 48 I won't believe you anymore; I'll have to use force to keep you by my side.

Tears fell one after another, landing on her cheekbones and the bridge of her nose, warm and rapid.

Yun Muqian wanted to say something, but Qin Qihan didn't give her a chance to speak.

He suddenly reached out and grabbed her waist, lifting her off the ground with a jerk. Yun Muqian gasped, her footing faltering, and instinctively clung to his shoulders.

The entryway light was off, and the living room was pitch black. Only the light of the city night view outside the window poured in through the floor-to-ceiling window with the curtains not drawn. Qin Qihan slammed the door shut, locked it behind him, and then carried her through the entryway, pressing her down onto the sofa in the living room.

Her back sank into the soft cushions, her hair spread out on the off-white sofa. Qin Qihan stood in front of the sofa, looking down at her: "What do you want that I haven't given you?"

Yun Muqian sensed that his mental state seemed somewhat abnormal. "Qin Qihan, get up first, let's talk this out."

He chuckled. "Speak properly? Have you ever spoken properly to me? You've been lying to me from beginning to end. Have you ever told me a single truth?"

Yun Muqian pursed her lips: "I didn't lie to you—"

"You're not lying to me?" Qin Qihan bent down, his hands resting on the back of the sofa, enveloping her in his shadow. His gaze was fixed intently on her eyes. "That night you brought that man home, and you told me you loved him. Yun Muqian, do you love him?"

Yun Muqian's eyelashes trembled slightly, but she didn't say anything.

"You don't love him," Qin Qihan answered for her. "You brought him back to make me give up."

Ok.

He was still lost in his own fantasy.

Yun Muqian turned her face away: "I just want to cut ties with you completely."

"Cut it all off." Qin Qihan pinched her face, forcing her to look at him. "You make it sound so easy. You've cut it all off. You didn't even think about me."

He's acting like a resentful husband now.

But she simply didn't have the energy to argue with him. Releasing her hands from the sofa, she straightened up. "Just consider it a mutually beneficial arrangement."

Qin Qihan looked at her intently, then pressed his entire body against hers, his knees squeezing between her legs, and his lips pressed down with an almost punishing force.

His hand slid inside her open collar, the heat of his palm making her shiver. Her hands, which had been pushing him away, were pinned above her head, his fingers tightening around her. Her struggles were easily dissolved into soft, panting breaths.

"Qin Qihan," she turned her head away, barely managing to exhale from his lips, her voice trembling, "can't you calm down?"

"I can't calm down." His voice came from beside her neck. "I've tried to calm down, but I've calmed you down to nothing, Yun Muqian. I don't want to calm down anymore."

As he spoke, he reached down with one hand. Yun Muqian's body tensed, and she tried to push him away with her knee, but she couldn't budge him at all by his weight.

She could sense that he was not in a normal state at the moment.

All his rationality, all his restraint, all his thoughts of "having a good talk" shattered completely the moment he shed tears.

Yun Muqian stared at the ceiling, her breathing rapid and erratic, realizing she couldn't win against him.

"Use a condom."

Don't let a breakup lead to a child with her.

Qin Qihan stopped moving: "You still want me to wear a condom?"

Yun Muqian looked at him: "Otherwise what? You want me to get pregnant?"

Qin Qihan stared at her for two seconds, then leaned down mischievously, speaking almost with his lips touching hers, his hot breath washing over her face:

"Yun Muqian, I'm going to get you pregnant."

His voice was so low it seemed to rise from the earth, carrying an almost obsessive, dark, and ruthless edge: "You ran away, you didn't come back, but now you're pregnant with my child. Let's see where you can run to then. You'll be heavily pregnant and have no choice but to come back to me."

He was serious.

He really thought so.

How long had this thought been swirling in his mind: to get her pregnant, to tie her down, to use the child to keep her by his side forever? He'd been thinking about it ever since he realized she wouldn't be coming back.

Her eyes suddenly reddened, and Qin Qihan froze. The grip on her cheek loosened instantly.

"Don't cry." His voice faltered for a moment, the arm supporting him above her trembled slightly, his breathing became erratic, and the fierce, murderous aura he had just displayed crumbled in an instant. "Please don't cry."

When she cried, his heart broke too.

Yun Muqian turned her face away from him, her voice muffled and nasal: "You still say you like me. Is this how you like me? Making me pregnant out of wedlock, making me afraid to even leave the house while heavily pregnant."

She said it on purpose; otherwise, he wouldn't have compromised.

He watched her turn her face away, and felt a sharp, stabbing pain in his heart, making it hard to breathe. He lowered his head, resting his forehead against her shoulder, his voice muffled, hoarse, and low:

"I'll wear it. Don't cry."

Yun Muqian didn't reply. Qin Qihan propped himself up and looked around in a flustered manner. There were no lights in the living room, so he relied on the faint night light of the city outside the window to find his way. His voice was filled with unprecedented embarrassment and helplessness.

She sniffed, raised her finger, and pointed towards the TV cabinet: "The second drawer from the left."

Qin Qihan got up and walked over, his hand twitching with urgency as he pulled open the drawer. The moment the drawer slid open, he looked down and saw several boxes neatly arranged inside, and his hand froze.

The living room was quiet for a few seconds.

He turned his head, his gaze shifting from the drawer to Yun Muqian's face on the sofa. He narrowed his eyes, his tone suddenly changing: "Why do you have these things?"

Yun Muqian lay on the sofa, tears still streaming down her face. She sat up from the cushions, straightened her disheveled collar, and wiped the tears from her face with her sleeve. "Didn't you say I was a single woman? Single women can't have these things?"

Qin Qihan stared at her, then looked down at the boxes in the drawer. The boxes were well-packaged and looked brand new.

The problem is—she said she hadn't dated anyone.

"You just said you weren't dating anyone," his voice deepened, "Then why did you buy all this?"

"Qin Qihan, have you forgotten something?"

She ran her hand through her hair. "Just because I said I'm not dating anyone doesn't mean I won't. I bought these things to prepare for my future relationships. Am I supposed to stay single forever after leaving you?"

Qin Qihan's hand slid down from the edge of the drawer, hanging at his side, clenched into a fist, his voice carrying a chilling calm:

"Who are you planning to date?"

Yun Muqian looked up at him without saying a word, but her eyes were very open and honest.

He strode over, supporting her knees with one hand and gripping her waist with the other, flipping her over off the sofa and pressing her into the cushions. This time, he didn't give her any chance to speak, pressing his knee down to pin her between the sofa and him.

"I won't ask anymore," his voice came from the back of her neck. "I won't ask who you're planning to date, who you like."

His fingers slid down her spine vertebra by vertebra: "Even if I ask, you won't tell me the truth. You're such a liar, Yun Muqian, not a single word you utter is true."

Yun Muqian turned her head to try to explain, but his lips had already covered hers, swallowing all her voice.
