Back in the hotel room.

The first thing Su Fengnan did was to go up to the light and examine the marks on her hands.

She clearly remembered that the prayer beads were covered in her blood before they disappeared, followed by a flash of light and then vanished without a trace, leaving only a faint green mark on her skin.

A mix of nervousness and excitement pounded in her chest. Could this be one of those legendary cheat codes? Having read countless online novels, Su Fengnan couldn't help but let her imagination run wild. Didn't those novels all describe things like portable spaces and secret realms of spiritual springs? Was hers one of those too?

She tried rubbing the green mark with her fingers, her fingertips turning red, but nothing miraculously happened. Frustrated for a while, she obediently went to wash up, changed into her pajamas, and lay down on the bed. She was truly exhausted after everything that had happened today.

Lying in bed, her gaze remained fixed on the green mark on her hand, her mind wandering freely. As she drifted off to sleep, she unconsciously murmured to herself, "If only there really were some kind of space... I could go inside and take a look..."

As soon as he finished speaking, a feeling of weightlessness washed over him.

Before she knew it, she found herself in a small, dimly lit meditation room.

The interior furnishings are minimalist: a stone table, a futon, a row of bookshelves against the wall, and a portrait of a woman in a Taoist robe hanging on the wall.

Su Fengnan felt a sudden panic. Good heavens, where was she? Was she dreaming? It must be something she'd been thinking about all day; she was so eager to find out where the prayer beads had gone that she dreamt of this strange place. She'd initially thought it would be some kind of spiritual spring space, but reality was indeed quite different from her imagination.

But since she could enter even in her dreams, Su Fengnan boldly walked up to the portrait, knelt down, clasped her hands together, and respectfully kowtowed three times.

She silently prayed to herself: Are you the master of this place? I have no intention of offending you, please be magnanimous and do not hold a grudge against a junior like me.

After she finished bowing, the fear in her heart indeed dissipated by most. Only then did she stand up and carefully look around.

The bookshelf was filled with books, as well as a small number of bamboo slips. Su Fengnan casually picked out two bamboo slips and opened them. They were all written in traditional Chinese characters, some of which she didn't even recognize, but she could vaguely make out that they contained knowledge related to medicine and agriculture.

Medicine was out of the question; Su Fengnan had little interest in healing and saving lives. However, she was very interested in agronomy. In her future plans, she had originally intended to invest in agriculture.

There were too many books for her to peruse. Her gaze swept over the stone table, on which lay writing brushes, ink, paper, and inkstone. A soft ray of light streamed down from the skylight above the stone table. Su Fengnan looked up and realized that this wasn't a room at all, but rather like a cave, surrounded by rough stone walls.

Suddenly, a faint "tick-tock" sound reached my ears.

Good heavens, where is this place? Su Fengnan felt like crying.

She walked through the doorway toward the faint light. The closer she got, the clearer the sound of dripping water became. When she got closer, Su Fengnan was completely stunned.

A huge stalactite hangs like a sword, with crystal-clear water droplets dripping from its tip. On the ground lies a pool of crystal-clear water, surrounded by faintly glowing aquatic plants. The water overflows, forming a stream that meanders outwards.

Su Fengnan looked around and found a large rock by the pool with three large characters carved on it: "Pure Spirit Spring".

She approached and examined it closely, discovering a row of small, traditional Chinese characters carved beneath the stone. After reading it haltingly, she finally understood the origin of this sacred spring.

It turns out that this was a divine stone left behind by a cultivator named Fan Chen to repay the life-saving grace of a cultivator named Shan Yuan, in order to help Shan Yuan achieve enlightenment as soon as possible.

Su Fengnan gazed thoughtfully at the spiritual spring before her. Perhaps the Buddhist prayer beads in her hand were also related to these two cultivators; otherwise, it was simply inexplicable. As for why this space was hidden within a string of prayer beads, and why she had encountered it in particular, Su Fengnan decided not to delve into the matter. The prayer beads had now become one with her; she would simply consider herself one of the lucky ones chosen by fate.

The spring water should be drinkable. While I don't know its specific magical effects, it's probably good for improving health.

Just as Su Fengnan was wondering whether she should take a bite, a piercing cell phone ringtone suddenly sounded in her ear.

She was so anxious she kept spinning around in circles: Good heavens, how am I going to get out of here!

"what?"

The moment the thought arose, the scene before my eyes vanished instantly.

Su Fengnan suddenly opened her eyes and found herself lying in bed. She fumbled around for her phone, and without even looking to see who was calling, instinctively swiped to answer.

"Feed..." Her voice was lazy and hoarse, as if she had just woken up.

"Su, are you asleep? I brought you a midnight snack." Zhou Chenyu's deep and gentle voice came from the other end of the phone.

Su Fengnan, still half asleep, honestly confessed, "Teacher Zhou... I'm still in Zhucheng, I haven't returned to Zijiang yet."

Zhou Chenyu immediately noticed the unusual sound in her voice, and her tone instantly tightened: "What's wrong? Your voice sounds off. Do you have a cold?"

Su Fengnan coughed twice, only then realizing that her throat was dry and sore. She hadn't thought anything was wrong with the "feed" she had just said, but now that she opened her mouth, she realized that her throat was indeed uncomfortable and her voice was terribly hoarse.

She raised her hand to touch her forehead; it was alarmingly hot. "It's nothing... I probably just have a bit of a cold and fever. I'll take some medicine and sweat it out in a bit, and I'll feel better."

"Where do you live?" Zhou Chenyu's voice was filled with an undeniable urgency.

"Ah... I'm staying at a hotel."

Give me the address.

"Huh? Oh... Shengfeng Hotel..."

Su Fengnan obediently gave out the hotel name and room number.

On the other end of the phone, Zhou Chenyu unhesitatingly shoved the late-night snack in his hand into the hands of his assistant Zhao, saying, "You eat it, give me the key."

After saying that, he took the car keys, got in, started the car, and drove off in one smooth motion.

Assistant Zhao stood there, holding the still-warm late-night snack, looking completely bewildered. He couldn't understand his boss's nonsensical behavior at all, only that his boss was acting strangely anxious tonight because of a girl.

The hotel room.

After hanging up the phone, Su Fengnan's head was still spinning. She only knew that someone she knew had called to ask her a few questions, but she couldn't hear what they said at all.

She struggled to get up to find some water, and found the bottled water provided by the hotel on the table. She unscrewed the cap and gulped down half the bottle in one go. Then she went to the bathroom, washed her face with cold water, and the biting chill made her a little more awake before she climbed back into bed to rest.

As for the medicine she mentioned on the phone, she had completely forgotten about it.
