A bizarre and terrifying experience; I messed up the dungeon world.

Zhou Lang followed the footprints forward. On either side were dormitory doors. Cartoon stickers were pasted on the doors, but the color had faded.

Zhou Lang pushed open the first door.

There were four bunk beds inside. The beds had no bedding, only bare wooden planks.

A dark figure was crouching in the corner of the room.

The flashlight beam shone over.

It was a child. Wearing tattered striped pajamas. The child had his back to them, and his shoulders were shaking.

The sound of chewing could be heard.

Zhou Lang pressed the switch on the chainsaw. The saw blade began to rotate.

The child stopped what he was doing. He turned his head.

His face had no features. Only a mouth full of sharp teeth, with a dead rat clenched in its jaws.

The child dropped the mouse, crawled on all fours towards Zhou Lang, and moved very quickly.

Zhou Lang raised the chainsaw and slashed down at the target.

The child jumped aside, dodging the chainsaw, and climbed up the wall to the ceiling.

He opened his mouth and spat a wad of black, sticky liquid at Zhou Lang.

Zhou Lang stepped back. The slime fell to the ground, corroding a large hole in the wooden floor.

Zhao Qiang swung the steel pipe and smashed it down on the child on the ceiling.

The child released his grip and landed on Zhao Qiang's head.

Han Yingying raised her hand, and a beam of green light shot towards the child.

A green light shone on the child. The child screamed, and white smoke billowed from his body. He fell to the ground and rolled twice.

Zhou Lang stepped forward and used a chainsaw to cut off the child's head.

Black blood flowed onto the wooden board.

The child stopped moving.

"This thing is too fast." Zhao Qiang looked at the corpse on the ground.

Liu Wei stood outside the door, the beam of his flashlight flashing.

"Hey boss, Yingying," Liu Wei swallowed hard. "Look down the hallway."

Zhou Lang turned his head.

In the beam of the flashlight, the ceiling of the corridor was covered with those children without facial features.

They were densely packed together, countless in number.

They all opened their mouths, revealing sharp teeth.

The musty smell in the corridor was masked by the stench of decay.

Dozens of children were pressed against the ceiling and walls.

"Go back to the main hall," Zhou Lang said.

He switched off the chainsaw and drew the Watcher's cane. The chainsaw was not effective against these agile and numerous monsters.

The five people stepped back.

The child on the ceiling started jumping down.

Zhao Qiang swung his steel pipe and knocked the two children who jumped down into the air.

Han Yingying's hands glowed with green light. Instead of throwing the ball of light out, she clasped her hands together and pushed them outwards.

A green halo radiated outwards from her.

The halo swept across the corridor.

The children who were touched by the halo screamed in agony, their skin began to fester, and their movements slowed down.

Zhou Lang seized the opportunity, swinging his cane repeatedly and smashing the heads of three children.

Liu Wei watched Han Yingying's actions.

"Bai Ye," Liu Wei blurted out, "This move is called 'Praise of Life.' Bai Ye used it in the video. Exactly the same."

Han Yingying's hands trembled slightly upon hearing this.

The green light disappeared.

A picture flashed through her mind.

She stood on a massive altar, surrounded by figures clad in black robes. She raised a white staff, from which a green halo radiated. The figures in black robes fell in droves.

Her head hurt terribly. It felt like someone was pricking her temples with needles.

Han Yingying covered her head and squatted on the ground.

A child pounced down the wall and bit Han Yingying's neck.

Zhou Lang turned around, swept his cane horizontally, and slammed the child against the wall.

He walked over to Han Yingying's side.

"What's wrong?" Zhou Lang asked.

Han Yingying looked up. Her face was pale, and there was sweat on her forehead.

"I'm fine." Han Yingying stood up. "I used too many skills and I'm a little exhausted."

Zhou Lang looked into her eyes.

Han Yingying avoided his gaze.

Zhou Lang didn't press the matter. He turned around and looked at the remaining monsters.

The children, hurt by the green light, retreated to the depths of the corridor and did not rush forward again.

"Old Ma, block the road," Zhou Lang said.

Old Ma took a piece of yellow paper out of his pocket. He bit his finger and drew a line on the paper.

"Go!" Old Ma pasted the talisman on the wall in the middle of the corridor.

A yellow light barrier blocked the corridor. The children bumped into the barrier and bounced back.

"It can only hold them off for ten minutes," Old Ma said.

The five people retreated back to the hall.

Zhao Qiang leaned against the front desk, panting. He looked at the steel pipe in his hand. The pipe was covered in a black, sticky substance and was being corroded.

"This weapon is useless." Zhao Qiang threw the steel pipe on the ground.

Zhou Lang took out a spare fire axe from his backpack and handed it to Zhao Qiang.

"Thanks." Zhao Qiang took the axe.

Zhou Lang looked at the photos behind the front desk.

"The accommodation area is blocked, let's go to the activity area." Zhou Lang walked to the left.

The corridors in the activity area are more spacious than those in the accommodation area.

Classrooms are located on both sides. The doors are labeled "Music Room," "Art Room," and "Library."

Liu Wei shone a flashlight on the doorplate.

"Go to the dean's office," Zhou Lang said.

At the end of the corridor was a red wooden door. A sign on the door read "Dean's Office".

The door was locked.

Liu Wei walked over and took out a wire.

He inserted the wire into the keyhole and fiddled with it for a while.

"It won't open." Liu Wei pulled out the wire. "The lock cylinder is broken. It's blocked inside by something."

Zhou Lang raised the fire axe.

"Step back," Zhou Lang said.

He swung the axe and chopped at the doorknob.

Wood chips flew everywhere.

After three strikes, a hole was smashed open in the door.

Zhou Lang reached in and opened the door from the inside.

There was a strong smell of blood in the office.

The room was large. A desk stood in the middle. A person sat behind the desk.

It's Dean Wang Mei in the photo.

She was wearing a black suit. Her head was resting on the table. Her body was seated in a chair.

The head and body are separate.

Zhou Lang walked over.

Wang Mei has no eyes on her head, only two black holes.

"The mission was to find the missing dean," Zhao Qiang said. "We found him, but he's dead. Is the mission complete?"

The system did not provide any notification.

"No, that doesn't count." Zhou Lang looked at Wang Mei's neck. The incision was very smooth.

"The copy we're looking for isn't this corpse." Zhou Lang searched through the office.

He opened the drawer of his desk.

Inside was a black diary.

Zhou Lang opened his diary.

"April 5th. The investors arrived. They took a liking to the basement. They wanted to build a laboratory there."

"April 10th. The first batch of children were sent down. They said it was just for a minor medical check-up. But I heard screams."

"April 15th. The investors gave me a card. There was a lot of money in it. They told me to shut up."

This concludes my diary entry.

Zhou Lang turned the diary over.

A symbol is printed on the back cover.

It has the same symbols as the black card.

Zhou Lang put the diary into his pocket.

"Go to the basement," Zhou Lang said.

"Where is the basement entrance?" Old Ma asked.

Liu Wei pointed to the bookshelf behind the desk. "There's nothing behind it. A breeze can blow out."

Zhou Lang walked to the bookshelf. He pushed the bookshelf with all his might. The bookshelf was heavy and he couldn't move it.

Zhao Qiang walked over, and the two of them worked together.

The bookshelf was pushed aside.

Behind it is a downward stone staircase.

Red emergency lights were on the stone steps.
