Chapter 112 Call Me Brother

"I know," he said, "just because you don't has it doesn't mean he doesn't."

Yang Zhiyan saw the undisguised and blatant possessiveness in Qin Yuzheng's eyes.

Yang Zhiyan thought for a moment. Is that so? Does Xu Yun have other feelings for her?

She recalled the details of her time with Xu Yun, and he didn't seem like someone who was interested in her.

He naturally discussed the design drafts with her. They didn't actually spend much time alone; most of their time was in the classroom or when Su Wan was present.

She thought it was gentlemanly conduct. Maybe it wasn't gentlemanly conduct, it was... she wasn't sure.

But she didn't want Qin Yuzheng to worry.

"Don't worry," she said, tiptoeing to kiss him on the corner of his mouth, "I love my brother the most."

These words made Qin Yuzheng overjoyed.

Qin Yuzheng reached out and pulled her into his arms, then lowered his head and kissed her.

Then he released her and turned to walk towards the bathroom.

He was planning something in his mind: later in bed, he would make sure the baby said that phrase again. No, not just once.

While Qin Yuzheng went to take a shower, Yang Zhiyan was cooking noodles in the kitchen.

The water boiled, so she put the noodles in and stirred them with chopsticks. She heated a pan on another burner, poured in oil, and cracked an egg into it.

The egg mixture solidified quickly in the hot oil, turning golden brown at the edges and tender in the middle. She scooped the eggs out, added tomatoes to the pan, cooked them until they released their juices, added water, and brought it to a boil.

The noodles were cooked, then rinsed in cold water, placed in a bowl, topped with tomato and egg drop soup, and topped with a fried egg and a few chopped green onions.

When she carried the bowl to the dining room, Qin Yuzheng had already washed it.

He changed into a dark-colored loungewear T-shirt, his hair still wet, which he had dried with a towel.

It wasn't completely dry; a few strands of hair hung down in front of his forehead, and water droplets dripped from the ends of his hair, landing on the collar of his T-shirt and leaving a small, dark, damp stain.

He sat down, and when he saw the bowl of noodles, he felt even better.

It is a pleasant thing to be treated with care.

Qin Yuzheng picked up his chopsticks, took a bite of noodles.

"Is it good?" Yang Zhiyan sat opposite him, resting her chin on her hands as she looked at him.

Qin Yuzheng chewed twice and swallowed. "Delicious."

He lowered his head and continued eating.

Yang Zhiyan began to speak. She talked about the training this week, saying that the teacher said there had been significant reforms to this year's cheongsam competition.

This training was specially organized this year for two reasons: first, to enable our younger generation to learn about cheongsam more systematically; and second, to encourage us to work together to inherit and promote Chinese culture.

We don't want us to engage in vicious competition. We are a community, and only healthy competition can promote and develop the cheongsam culture.

When she speaks, her hands unconsciously gesture, her fingertips drawing lines in the air.

Qin Yuzheng listened attentively, occasionally chiming in with a few words, his chopsticks never stopping.

"That's a good point," he said. "Healthy competition is what allows people to go further."

He finished the noodles in his bowl and drank most of the soup. He put the bowl down, looked up at her.

Yang Zhiyan was still talking, saying that she got a high score on her group assignment, that Su Wan was very capable, and that she had drawn a new design draft today, which she thought was better than the previous one.

Qin Yuzheng listened, a smile playing on his lips. He knew how naive she was.

He wanted her to remain innocent forever, but he didn't want her to suffer. It's alright, Qin Yuzheng thought to himself, he would protect her innocence.

After washing up, the two moved to the bedroom. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

After a week apart, her scent, the warmth of her lips, the sound she made in his ear—everything was clearer, more concrete, and more uncontrollable than he remembered.

Her fingers were gripping the back of his T-shirt.

Her knees pressed against his waist, and her lips bit his shoulder, afraid to make a sound.

He coaxed her, his voice hinting at seduction.

"Baby, call me brother." Yang Zhiyan bit her lip, but didn't say it.

Qin Yuzheng tempted him with his perverse sense of humor.

"Call me brother." His voice held a mix of pleading, commanding, and, above all, fervent entreaty.

The soft, sweet voice of "Brother~" almost made Qin Yuzheng lose control.

"Good girl~" His voice was even lower. Yang Zhiyan buried her face in the pillow, her voice muffled by the pillow.

"Brother~" Qin Yuzheng felt as if something had struck his heart. A tingling, numb sensation spread from his chest to his limbs, a shiver like being electrocuted.

It was a crazy night. Neither of them remembered what time it ended; the alarm clock on the bedside table was knocked to the floor, and no one picked it up.

The set is used up, but I don't know when it was used up or how many sets I used.

When the last one was taken off, there was a thin tear, which no one noticed.

Qin Yuzheng rolled it up and threw it into the trash can, then lay back down next to her and pulled her into his arms.

The next day, the two slept until late morning. Sunlight streamed in through the gaps in the curtains.

When Qin Yuzheng opened his eyes, he glanced at his phone—it was past nine o'clock.

He hasn't slept until this late in a long time. He has a very punctual biological clock.

But today, his biological clock has malfunctioned.

Qin Yuzheng turned his head to look at the person next to him.

Yang Zhiyan was still asleep, her face buried in his shoulder, her breathing long and even, her eyelashes casting a small fan-shaped shadow under her eyelids.

Her hand rested on his waist, her fingers slightly curled. He smiled slightly but didn't move, afraid of waking her.

He lay in bed for another ten minutes or so, and only after she turned over did he quietly get out of bed.

After washing up, I had a simple breakfast.

He went to his study, turned on his computer, and started processing emails. There were a few piled up, but not many, and he replied to them one by one.

After finishing, he picked up his phone and saw a message from Qin Yuyan.

"Brother, the news of your relationship has spread throughout our circle. When are you going to introduce me to your girlfriend?"

Qin Yuzheng glanced at the time. The message was sent yesterday afternoon, but he was on the plane at the time and didn't see it.

He typed a message: "We're in Beijing right now. Can you come out? If so, let's have dinner together tonight."

Qin Yuyan replied instantly: "Sure! My recent project just finished, so I can rest for a few days. Bro, send me the address."

Qin Yuzheng sent the address.

Qin Yuyan. Her original name was Qin Yuyan. However, she was very stubborn when she was in school and liked to study problems.

The homeroom teacher said, "With your meticulous nature, you're best suited for research projects."

A single word brought joy to the person she had been dreaming of, and from then on, pursuing a career in scientific research became Qin Yuyan's dream.

So Qin Yuyan studied hard, got into the best university in Beijing, pursued postgraduate studies, and entered a national-level research institute.

But Qin's mother disagreed; she hoped to raise her daughter to be a well-bred lady proficient in all the arts, including music, chess, calligraphy, and painting.

The mother and daughter argued for quite some time. To show her determination, Qin Yuyan changed her name from "Yan" to "Yan".

It was Qin Yuzheng's help that made it through the procedures smoothly. Qin Yuzheng's strained relationship with his mother was one of the reasons.
