Yunhe Community.

Luo Zeyan distributed today's rations to the other survivors in the building, and the dozen or so people quickly devoured the supplies they had brought back yesterday.

Only eighteen people survived in the entire building, and only four of them awakened their superpowers, forming a team to search for supplies.

Fortunately, no one else was troublesome; they all stayed quietly in one house, waiting for supplies to be distributed and for official rescue.

"Zeyan, come and take a look." Li Yichen stood by the window and noticed that something was wrong outside.

Luo Zeyan walked over and looked out the window.

From here you can see the small square at the entrance of Huanhehui, as well as the main road.

Several armored vehicles were parked by the roadside, and a group of uncoordinated zombies were running around like blind flies.

"There were gunshots coming from the Cuiping Shopping Mall area just now. I guess it was the government's rescue team," Li Yichen said. "The gunshots attracted the zombies."

He personally witnessed several teams of SWAT officers stationed at the intersection, ready to fight the zombies.

After firing only a few shots, they suddenly all retreated and hid in a high-rise building.

He had intended to warn them that the gunfire would only attract more zombies.

Unfortunately, he wasn't given a chance to perform at all!

Luo Zeyan looked at the zombies wandering the streets, his brows furrowing slightly. "They don't look like a rescue team."

Li Yichen raised an eyebrow, turned to look at him, and asked, "Not a rescue team? Then what are so many SWAT officers doing here?"

"If it were a rescue team, they would simply go upstairs quickly, take the survivors away, and evacuate immediately to avoid a direct confrontation with the zombies."

Luo Zeyan's voice was calm and steady, his fingers unconsciously stroking the hem of his clothes.

But clearly, he didn't understand why so many special police officers were gathered here.

"Have special police entered the community?" he asked.

"A group of people came in; they should be on the second or third floor," Li Yichen said truthfully.

"Let's go take a look." Luo Zeyan turned around and walked towards the stairwell.

Li Yichen glanced out the window, then at Luo Zeyan, and quickly followed.

The entrance to the first-floor unit was blocked, and six SWAT officers were stationed on the second floor; it looked like a small team.

They were clearly a little surprised to see Luo Zeyan and Li Yichen.

Given the chaos outside, it's quite rare for survivors to venture out of their homes instead of waiting for rescue.

"You are..." the SWAT team leader began.

"A superhuman." Luo Zeyan conjured a ball of fire in his palm and said succinctly, "They live on the fourth floor, and there are sixteen other people upstairs."

The squad leader stared at the flickering flame in his palm, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

Some members of the special police and armed police forces have also awakened superpowers, but they are not able to control these abilities well.

To avoid accidentally injuring bystanders, Qin Qian did not allow those with supernatural abilities to participate in this operation.

But unexpectedly, powerful figures have emerged among the common people, despite the fact that the authorities have failed to control them.

"You're here to provide rescue?" Li Yichen asked directly.

The squad leader snapped out of his daze, shook his head, and said, "The government wants to establish a safe zone here. We're here to clear out the zombies."

"Safe zone?" Li Yichen stared in shock, glancing instinctively at Luo Zeyan beside him.

If Yunhe Community is included in the safe zone, it means that all forces will be concentrated here in the future, and the area will be officially controlled, with all survivors under someone's management.

This area will become the safest place in Linjiang City.

"That's good." Luo Zeyan said calmly, his attitude neither enthusiastic nor cold. "Guns aren't suitable for clearing out zombies, so we can help."

The squad leader hesitated for a moment, then picked up the walkie-talkie and reported the situation to Qin Qian.

There was a few seconds of silence on the other end, then Qin Qian's voice came through: "Let them join, be careful, and follow orders in all actions."

The squad leader put down the walkie-talkie, and Chao Luo nodded: "Team Leader Qin has agreed. You can join, but you must follow orders in all operations."

Luo Zeyan didn't say much, he just nodded slightly.

Li Yichen, standing behind him, grinned, seemingly finding the collaboration with the government quite interesting.

"We've cleared out all the zombies in this building," Luo Zeyan said. "I haven't checked the other buildings, so I don't know how many survivors are left."

"Team Leader Qin told us to stay put, but I don't know what we're waiting for." The squad leader sighed, frowning in thought. "We were originally supposed to guard the intersection and prevent zombies from entering the safe zone. It seems we received other orders and were forced to retreat immediately."

"Other orders?" Li Yichen, hands in his pockets, lazily raised an eyebrow and glanced at Luo Zeyan. "Could it be that there are other powerful ability users assisting?"

Luo Zeyan pursed his lips and remained silent.

The first person he thought of was Lou Fengyue.

She lives in the Cuiping residential area diagonally across the street, but... it's unclear whether she has any special abilities.

The officially planned security zone is centered at the intersection and divided into four areas according to the roads.

The northwest area features a very large four-star hotel, the northeast area includes the Yunhe residential community and the Huanhehui shopping mall, and the southeast area is a food court.

The southwest area is the entire Cuiping urban complex, with the residential area located in the southwest corner.

Lou Fengyue climbed over the wall from the southwest corner.

She crouched on the wall, cautiously observing her surroundings. The number of zombies was indeed much greater than before; it seemed that zombies from within a five-mile radius had come to have a party.

It was all caused by those brainless officials in the government.

Lou Fengyue twirled the rotten wooden stick she was carrying, a sly smile hidden beneath her mask.

She jumped off the three-meter-high wall and strolled leisurely toward a cluster of self-built buildings next to the green park.

His steps were leisurely and relaxed, as if he were just going to the supermarket to buy soy sauce.

The drone was still buzzing overhead.

Qin Qian sat in a hot pot restaurant on the second floor of Cuiping Shopping Mall, looking at the screen on the equipment, and couldn't help but frown.

The female SWAT officer in charge of the technology leaned over to take a look. "What is she trying to do? If she lures all the zombies from the west and south over there, there will be at least two hundred of them!"

Qin Qian's brows furrowed deeper and deeper. "We'll see."

Lou Fengyue swaggered down the street, quickly attracting the attention of zombies, and six or seven of them pounced on her.

Without even glancing at them, she smacked them on the head with her backhand.

The rotten stick seemed to have its own positioning function, precise and efficient, requiring no effort at all.

Lou Fengyue used her sensory abilities to check the surrounding area.

Finally, they chose a half-built, empty, three-story self-built house as their target.

She climbed up the stairs, with a few silly little devils chasing after her, which she used to block the door.

She ran straight to the rooftop and looked around at the two dark shadows surrounding the west and south sides of the safe zone.

Then, raise both hands—

A giant ball of electricity coalesced between her hands, the current emitting a purplish-white light, as dazzling as a never-extinguishing lamp in the city.

The crackling sound of the electricity became the only sonata in this deathly silent city.

The commotion attracted the attention of the zombies, who all turned their heads in unison, their murky gray-white eyes staring straight at the electric ball.

Then, as if injected with stimulants, it suddenly grinned and charged towards them, baring its teeth and claws.

Even his pace was much faster than usual.

Lou Fengyue watched with satisfaction as the horde of corpses swarmed towards them.

Come on, you little fools.

I'm sending you on your way, sister!
