One Piece: Starting with Sharingan, First Mate Uchiha
Chapter 566 Let's have a banquet!
"Let's have a banquet!"
Luffy's voice echoed throughout the Thousand Sunny.
Franky paused as he turned the helm, while Usopp and Chopper cheered.
Sanji walked out of the kitchen with a cigarette in his mouth and looked at the captain standing on the bow of the lion ship with an annoyed expression.
"What kind of banquet are we having all of a sudden?"
"Is that even a question?" Luffy said, counting on his fingers.
"Everyone came back alive from Beehive Island. Ace is alright too. We've collected all four red stones. Robin has found Laugh Tale, and Nami still knows how to get there."
By the time he finished counting, he was grinning from ear to ear.
"With so many things to be happy about, of course we should have a banquet!"
Usopp immediately raised his hands: "I agree! The bravest sea warriors in this great battle need plenty of food to recover their strength!"
Chopper nodded vigorously: "I need to recover my strength too!"
Nami's forehead veins bulged: "You two haven't stopped eating since you boarded the ship, have you?"
Robin stood to the side, covering his mouth with a slight smile.
Sanji initially wanted to refuse, but when he saw the people on the deck, he simply exhaled a puff of smoke and turned to walk towards the kitchen.
"A banquet is fine, but anyone who dares to sneak a bite before the food is ready, I'll throw them all into the pot."
Luffy immediately followed, saying, "Then I'll help you taste it first!"
boom!
A muffled thud came from inside the kitchen.
A moment later, Luffy flew out, clutching his head.
"Didn't I tell you not to sneak food?"
A burst of laughter erupted aboard the Sunshine.
……
Preparations for the banquet began quickly.
Sanji took out a large amount of ingredients.
Large chunks of marine mammal meat were coated with spices and sent into the oven, while fresh vegetables and seafood filled the countertop, and several wooden barrels for holding drinks and wine were also brought onto the deck.
Franky connected the ship's colored lights and hung several modified lamps on both sides of the mast.
Multicolored lights illuminated the sails, making the Sunshine resemble a celebration stage floating on the sea.
Usopp and Chopper were in charge of setting up the tables and chairs.
They originally wanted to make a banner that read "Warrior Usopp's Triumphant Return Banquet," but under Nami's watchful eye, they obediently changed it to the Straw Hat Pirates' flag.
Brooke carried her violin to the center of the deck and tried to play a few notes.
Robin used the Flower-Flower Fruit to grow arms and hung decorative ribbons on the top of the mast.
Zoro leaned against the ship's railing, drinking and watching everyone busy for a while before Nami finally dragged him to move sake barrels.
"Why doesn't that guy have to do anything?"
He pointed to Luffy, who was drooling as he leaned over the kitchen doorway.
Nami calmly replied, "Because asking him for help will only create more work."
Zoro couldn't find a reason to refute it.
As the sun completely sank into the sea, Sanji finally brought the first plate of grilled meat to the long table.
Luffy's arm shot out instantly.
Sanji was prepared and kicked his hand back to its original position: "Wait until everyone is seated!"
"The meat is already in front of me, why should I wait?"
"That's called following the rules!"
"No way!"
The two began to fight over the grilled meat. Just as Sanji blocked Luffy's path, Zoro reached out with his chopsticks and grabbed the largest piece.
Sanji's forehead veins bulged: "You green-haired moss head, are you looking for death?"
"Whoever grabs the meat at the banquet gets to keep it."
"Give it back!"
The deck was instantly in chaos.
In the end, Nami silenced everyone with a single punch.
She placed a glass filled with fine wine among the crowd and handed another glass to Victor.
After taking the wine, Victor did not drink it. Instead, he walked to the side of the ship and slowly poured the wine into the sea.
The noise gradually subsided.
Everyone knows who this glass of wine belongs to.
Although the war was over, many people were no longer able to attend future banquets.
Luffy watched the wine fall into the sea, and after a brief silence, he also picked up his own wine glass.
"The white-bearded uncle said that he has completed his voyage."
"So we can't stay sad forever."
Luffy rarely says things like that.
But he remembered Whitebeard's last figure on Beehive Island, and he also remembered that Whitebeard entrusted Ace and countless family members to the living.
Luffy raised his cup, and a smile returned to his face.
"So that everyone can come back safely."
"Also for those who couldn't come back!"
"Cheers!"
All the glasses clinked together at the same time.
"Cheers!"
The banquet began in full swing the next moment.
Luffy grabbed a whole piece of roasted meat and stuffed it into his mouth, while Chopper held a juice cup that was taller than himself.
Usopp then stood on the table and recounted his heroic deeds in the battle on Beehive Island.
"At that time, the Five Elders turned into monsters larger than mountains, and the Navy Admirals were so frightened that they dared not move."
"Only I stepped forward, a single shot that would surely kill the powder keg—"
"Liar," Zoro said, taking a sip of his drink.
"I haven't finished speaking, how do you know it's a lie!"
"You could tell from the very first sentence."
Chopper's eyes lit up: "And then? Did you defeat the Five Elders?"
Usopp froze for a moment, then forcefully straightened his chest: "Of course! But in the end, I felt sorry for them, so I deliberately let them go!"
Nami couldn't stand it anymore and punched him off the table.
On the other side, Franky took out the hull modification drawings he had just completed and excitedly introduced the diving device to Victor and Robin.
"The Sunshine is a ship of dreams!"
"Forget about the so-called underwater waterfall; even if Laugh Tale were truly hidden in the deepest part of the world, I would still make sure it reaches you intact!"
Robin smiled and nodded: "Then, our lives are in your hands."
"SUPER—Don't worry!"
Brooke's violin playing soon began.
It started as a light and cheerful melody, which gradually became the familiar "Binks' Wine".
Luffy sang along while gnawing on meat, and Usopp and Chopper soon joined in as well.
Sanji carried the new dish out of the kitchen, while Zoro tapped his wine glass.
Franky raised his hands and sang out of tune.
Victor sat at one side of the long table, looking at his companions.
From their humble beginnings aboard the small Merry in the East China Sea, they have experienced countless things along the way.
Alabasta, Sky Island, Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark, Fishman Island, Dressrosa, Whole Cake Island, Wano Country, Elbaf, and Beehive Island.
The once unattainable destination of the world is now only seven days away.
Nami sat down next to him with her wine glass in hand, and naturally leaned on his shoulder.
She unusually didn't calculate the cost of the banquet today; she only threw a wine glass across half a deck when she discovered Luffy secretly taking away the second bucket of food.
The wine glass hit Luffy squarely on the back of the head.
"That's the supplies for the next seven days!"
"I'll only eat a little!"
"Your little bit is everything!"
Robin sat down on the other side and refilled Victor's drink.
Instead of holding a book as usual, she listened quietly to her friends' singing.
Victor glanced around: "You guys seem to be having a lot of fun today."
"The rubbing has been translated, and the route has been confirmed." Robin raised his glass. "A couple of nights of rest shouldn't delay the first mate's arrival at Laugh Tale."
Nami leaned against him and snorted softly, "You should worry about your injuries first."
"There are still seven days left; it will have recovered long ago."
"That statement doesn't count."
Victor did not continue arguing.
At times like these, it is never a wise choice to refute both navigators and archaeologists.
The banquet lasted until late at night.
As everyone drank more and more wine, the singing gradually lost its original melody.
Chopper was fast asleep, slumped over the table, while Usopp was still mumbling about his adventures.
Someone suddenly asked a question.
"Will our voyage end once we find Laugh Tale?"
The sounds on the deck gradually subsided.
Everyone has looked forward to the final island, but few have seriously considered what happens after reaching the end.
Brook still needs to go back to Laboon, Nami's world map is far from complete, and Sanji hasn't found All Blue yet. Everyone has places they need to go on their journeys.
But they had been sailing together for far too long.
Why end it?
Luffy swallowed the roasted meat in his mouth and looked at everyone in confusion.
Usopp sat up: "Because Laugh Tale is the end of the Grand Line!"
"So what?" Luffy replied matter-of-factly, "Once we reach the end, we can go to other places."
"The world is so big, there must be many islands we haven't seen yet."
"Besides, I only want to become the Pirate King, I didn't say that I would never go to sea again after becoming the Pirate King."
After a brief silence, Nami was the first to laugh.
She should have known that Luffy never even considered the end of his journey.
As long as the sea exists, he will always find new adventures.
Usopp breathed a sigh of relief, but then deliberately said, "In that case, when we get to the next island, you'll all have to continue to follow my orders."
"Who's the captain?!"
Laughter erupted again on the deck.
Luffy grabbed a wine glass that wasn't empty yet and jumped onto the long table.
"Listen up, everyone!"
Everyone looked at him at the same time.
Luffy raised his wine glass high, his smile under his straw hat bright and resolute.
"The next banquet—"
"Right there in Laugh Tale!"
"All of you! You must participate!"
boom!
The wine glasses clinked again.
The Thousand Sunny continued its journey under the cover of night.
Laughter, songs, and the aroma of fine wine were carried far away by the sea breeze, accompanying the Straw Hat Pirate Flag as it sailed towards a route yet to be recorded.
