American comics: Incredible comprehension, hand-crafted forbidden spells
Chapter 103 Black Widow is plagued by bad luck! Nick Fury is unplugged!
"team leader!"
Just then, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in plainclothes ran up from the alleyway and said, "The helicopter is ready and can take off at any time."
Black Widow forced down her fear and quickly stepped forward: "Take me there immediately, the sooner the better!"
The two walked through a secluded, narrow alley.
Five street thugs wielding knives suddenly jumped out and blocked the way.
Normally, Black Widow would definitely rush up and kick them one by one to teach them a lesson.
But she was really not in the mood today and just wanted to get out of this awful place as soon as possible.
"It's up to you. Finish this quickly."
Black Widow took a half step back and gave instructions to the agents behind her.
The agent nodded and deftly drew the pistol from his waist.
Before he could even aim.
boom!
The gun fired by itself!
A bullet grazed Black Widow's ear, the intense heat singing off a few strands of her red hair before striking the brick wall in front of her.
Upon hearing the gunshot, the thugs were so frightened that they scrambled away and disappeared.
Black Widow stood frozen in place, her ears ringing.
"Captain... Captain!" The agent, pale with fright, stammered, looking at the gun in his hand, "This gun is a monster! It went off by itself before I even pulled the trigger!"
Could the top-tier pistols issued to S.H.I.E.L.D. agents accidentally discharge?
Black Widow's face turned as black as the bottom of a pot. She turned and glared at him fiercely: "Listen to me. Now, immediately, get out of my sight! Stay in Kathmandu and find your own way back. Don't follow me!"
Black Widow arrived at the takeoff point alone and boarded the helicopter.
As the propeller lifted into the air, she finally let out a long breath.
Although what just happened was quite absurd, thankfully we escaped it all.
Once we fly back to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, we should be safe.
A few hours later, the helicopter flew over downtown New York City, with the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters just inches away.
Black Widow's tense nerves had just relaxed.
The pilot in front suddenly screamed in terror: "Sir! There's a huge flock of geese ahead! They...they've crashed into the engine! The plane is out of control!"
The helicopter emitted a piercing alarm, its fuselage shook violently, and it began to plummet while billowing black smoke.
Black Widow was utterly desperate.
Lin Jie! You call this a safe journey?!
……
Meanwhile, on the top floor of the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters building.
Chief Nick Fury was standing with his hands behind his back in front of the floor-to-ceiling window.
Deputy Director Maria Hill stood aside and reported on the situation.
"Sir, Natasha sent a text message. The person in charge of Kamar-Taj is called the Ancient One, a sorceress. There's a young man there named Lin Jie who defeated Thor in a one-on-one fight using magic, and even took down the Hulk in one move."
Nick Fury narrowed his remaining eye slightly, his face full of disbelief.
"Magic? One hit and Hulk is gone? Hill, is Natasha hallucinating from staking out outside?"
Hill said expressionlessly, "You can ask her yourself when she returns."
The two were talking.
A piercing roar suddenly came from outside the French windows.
Nick Fury turned his head.
A helicopter billowing black smoke was hurtling straight toward his office window!
kindness!
With a deafening explosion, the top floor of S.H.I.E.L.D. was completely engulfed in flames.
……
Late at night. S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secret underground hospital.
In the corridor outside the emergency room.
Black Widow, Hill, and Stark, who had flown back and changed into casual clothes, were standing outside the glass window looking inside.
Nick Fury was covered in bandages, wearing an oxygen mask, and had tubes inserted into his body.
Hill crossed her arms, turned to Black Widow, and said with a hint of annoyance, "Natasha, can you explain why you were in a runaway helicopter that landed squarely in the director's face?"
Black Widow rubbed her bruised forehead, looking utterly dejected. "If I told you I was under a spell, would you believe me?"
Stark, intrigued, leaned closer and asked, "What kind of spell is so powerful?"
"A blessing spell," Black Widow said through gritted teeth. "A spell given to me by a sorcerer in Kamar-Taj, to bless my journey. And since then, I haven't had a moment's peace!"
Hill glanced at the barely alive director in the hospital room and added coldly, "You seem to be doing quite well. You survived the plane crash, but the director sitting in his office was almost smashed to pieces by you and is still in critical condition."
Black Widow sighed. She was now completely convinced that magic was truly unscientific.
At this moment, a doctor pushed open the ward door and came out: "Gentlemen, the bureau chief has woken up and he wants you to come in."
The three of them immediately entered the ward and surrounded the bed.
A nurse had just finished changing Nick Fury's IV fluids and was turning to leave with the tray in hand.
On the tray was a large syringe that had just been used, with the needle still sticking out.
Suddenly, the nurse tripped over an electrical wire.
"Ah!" the nurse screamed, falling forward as she plunged the syringe into Black Widow's eye!
Another one of those bizarre accidents!
Black Widow reacted extremely quickly. Acting on her instincts as a top agent, she pushed off with her legs and nimbly rolled backward, landing steadily.
The needle grazed her nose and flew past, sticking into the wall.
Having narrowly escaped death, Black Widow breathed a sigh of relief, stood up, and spread her hands: "See? I told you I was cursed!"
The ward was deathly silent.
Stark and Hill didn't look at her; instead, they stared at the hospital bed with horrified expressions.
"What's wrong?" Black Widow looked down following their gaze.
She suddenly realized that as she rolled over, she was tightly gripping a thick, transparent plastic tube.
What is this?
Black Widow looked down through the tube at the hospital bed.
Nick Fury's only remaining eye was staring intently at the ceiling, his mouth was wide open, his entire black face had turned purplish-red, and his body was convulsing violently.
Hill took a deep breath, her voice trembling: "Natasha... when you dodged just now, you casually pulled out the chief's life support tube!"
Black Widow: "..."
"Beep beep beep beep!" The electrocardiogram monitor in the ward went off in a frantic alarm, its line going completely flat.
The doctors and nurses rushed in like madmen.
"The patient's heart has stopped beating! Immediate resuscitation efforts!"
"Get the defibrillator on! Get them all out!"
boom!
Black Widow, Hill, and Stark were forcibly wheeled out of the ward by a group of doctors, and the door slammed shut behind them.
Stark swallowed hard, silently moved two steps to the side, distancing himself from Black Widow.
"Natasha, you're certainly safe and sound. But I have this feeling that everyone who's been with you... is doomed to die sooner or later?"
