Chapter 102: Black Widow's Birth Check Gets Me Retorted! Lin Jie Forcefully Stuffs Her with Bli
Black Widow nodded emphatically, her sharp eyes fixed on Lin Jie.
Lin Jie was completely confused.
I don't know this female agent at all, so what's there to talk about?
"Alright, let's talk in private for a moment." Lin Jie agreed and followed the Black Widow to a corner of the yard.
As soon as she stopped, Black Widow launched into a tirade: "Do you know who I am?"
Her tone was firm and authoritative.
Lin Jie found it amusing and casually replied, "From S.H.I.E.L.D."
Black Widow's eyes narrowed: "It seems you know quite a bit about this."
After saying that, she took out a folded document from the pocket of her bodysuit and spread it out in front of Lin Jie.
"The streets of Kathmandu were sliced open by golden light, and half a mountain in the Himalayas was flattened. This has something to do with you, doesn't it?"
Lin Jie glanced at the news photos on the document.
It turns out that my haphazard skill practice a few days ago actually made headlines in the secular world.
"That's right, I did do it," Lin Jie admitted frankly.
This was an accident. He came to Kamar-Taj to learn new skills, and it's normal that he couldn't control his strength at first and made some noise.
Seeing Lin Jie admit it so readily, the Black Widow's hostility intensified.
"The duty of S.H.I.E.L.D. is to nip any potential threat to Earth in the bud."
Black Widow took a step closer and demanded sharply, "Tell me honestly, are you a genetically mutated being or a superhuman?"
This barrage of questions made Lin Jie very unhappy.
Lin Jie frowned and retorted, "Are you interrogating a criminal? Or do you think I'm easy to bully and have come here specifically to warn me?"
The surrounding air instantly became quiet.
Black Widow keenly sensed the rebellious spirit emanating from Lin Jie.
She originally thought that Lin Jie was young and usually treated Gu Yi and the others very politely, so she could use her agent aura to suppress him.
The calculation backfired.
This kid is tough as nails.
If they were to fight here, she and Stark combined wouldn't even be a match for the other.
As a top agent, her greatest skill is adapting to changing circumstances.
"It's a misunderstanding." Black Widow suddenly smiled, instantly dropping her previous arrogance, her tone becoming like chatting with an old friend. "I'm just curious about Kamar-Taj. When you were fighting before, were you really using magic?"
Women can change their minds faster than turning the pages of a book.
Lin Jie mentally scoffed and nodded perfunctorily.
Black Widow continued to try and get closer: "It sounds amazing. But as an ordinary person, I find it hard to believe that such a thing really exists. I personally believe more in science."
"Believe in science?" Lin Jie smirked. "Easy, I'll make you believe in magic right now."
Before Black Widow could react, Lin Jie began chanting: "In the ancient name of Oshutu, Agamotto listens to us, I summon, ancient body of Hoggus, in the name of the gods, to bestow this blessing!"
Black Widow looked on with a puzzled expression: "What are you muttering about?"
Lin Jie gave him an innocent smile: "It's nothing. I just cast a special blessing spell on you from Kamar-Taj. May you have a safe journey home."
"Blessing magic?"
Black Widow was filled with unease.
Although the boy in front of me was smiling brightly.
But her intuition told her that nothing good was coming.
Just as Black Widow was lost in thought, Wang impatiently urged from afar, "Are you done talking?"
"We're done talking!"
Lin Jie responded and turned to walk towards Wang.
Black Widow snapped out of her daze and was just about to lift her leg to follow.
Suddenly, a blinding silver light shot out from the side!
Black Widow had no time to dodge; there was only a muffled thud.
A gleaming longsword was driven directly into the wooden post next to her head. The blade was still shaking violently and making a buzzing sound.
If it had been just a centimeter or two off, the sword would have pierced right through her head!
Another deadly distance!
Black Widow turned pale with fright, and her back was instantly soaked with cold sweat.
"Oh dear! I'm so sorry!" A young mage rushed over, drawing his longsword. "I wasn't controlling the direction well while practicing sword control, and the sword slipped from my hand! I'm so sorry!"
Black Widow's eyes twitched violently, and she couldn't utter a single word.
Practicing swordsmanship can result in throwing the sword at someone's face?!
Are all the people of Kamar-Taj crazy?!
Filled with terror, Black Widow called Stark, and under the watchful eyes of Wong and Ringer, she ran out of the gates of Kamar-Taj without looking back.
Watching the two flee in disarray, Wang stroked his chin, turned to Lin Jie, and asked, "Hey kid, did you just use a blessing spell on Black Widow?"
Lin Jie readily admitted, "Yes, I used it. I wished her a safe journey."
"Peaceful?" Wang recalled the image of the flying sword exploding in her head, his eye twitching. "I think she's had the worst luck today. Hey kid, lately your style of speaking and acting is starting to sound more and more like your master's!"
Lin Jie laughed and turned around, humming a little tune as he went back to his dormitory.
Now he had a complete understanding of the situation.
The self-created blessing magic depends entirely on the other party's attitude.
A kind attitude from the other party is a genuine blessing.
The other party was rude, like Black Widow had just done, coming in with hostility to check someone's household registration. The blessing instantly turned into a box of bad luck.
"I hope Black Widow makes it back to S.H.I.E.L.D. alive today."
Lin Jie muttered to himself.
........
Streets of Kathmandu.
As soon as Black Widow and Stark stepped out of the gates of Kamar-Taj, the wooden door behind them vanished into thin air.
Stark pushed up his sunglasses and leaned closer curiously to ask, "Natasha, what did you talk about when you called Lin Jie aside? You don't look too good."
Black Widow frowned, her mind filled with the image of Lin Jie's last glimpse of white teeth.
"It's nothing, I just confirmed with him about the Himalayas and the Golden Light in the city."
Black Widow took a deep breath. "Now we're certain it was all this kid's doing."
The voice just fell.
Suddenly, without warning, a dark cloud gathered in the once clear sky.
Boom!
A deafening clap of thunder exploded above their heads.
Stark jumped in surprise, looked up at the sky, and muttered, "What's going on? Is Thor throwing a tantrum in there again, smashing his hammer?"
Black Widow was about to reply and was about to take a step forward.
Click!
A bolt of blue lightning, as thick as a bucket, struck straight down and instantly hit the stone slab in front of Black Widow's toes!
Gravel flew everywhere.
Black Widow's toes rested on the edge of the smoking pit, a spark still clinging to the toe of her shoe.
After the lightning struck, the dark clouds in the sky instantly dispersed, and the sun came out again.
Stark stood beside her, eyes wide, staring at Black Widow in disbelief: "Seriously? In such a big city, lightning only struck you? Did you offend Thor when you went in?"
Black Widow's body stiffened.
Offend Saul?
absolutely not!
The words Lin Jie had just said instantly popped into her mind—"Have a safe journey home."
"Fuck!" Black Widow couldn't help but swear.
Her intuition told her that Kathmandu was now extremely dangerous for her.
"Stark, we need to get going!"
Black Widow urged hastily, "This place is eerie, I don't want to stay here a second longer."
Stark nodded in agreement.
He patted the reactor on his chest, and his armor instantly covered his entire body.
"I think it's more dangerous for me to be with you. I'll fly back in my armor; I have enough energy to last all the way to New York. See you then!"
After saying that, Stark spewed flames from his feet and flew into the sky, leaving Black Widow alone on the street.
Black Widow rolled her eyes and could only quicken her pace to leave.
I just passed by a meat stall.
The stall owner was a burly man with a fierce face, who was chopping ribs with a butcher's knife.
There was a loud "bang".
The butcher knife actually slipped from the big man's hand, spun twice in mid-air, and stuck straight into the crack between the Black Widow's legs!
The blade was less than 0.1 centimeters away from Black Widow's thigh.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry!"
The stall owner quickly ran out to apologize, "The handle of this knife was too slippery, I couldn't hold it properly!"
Black Widow felt a chill run down her spine, and cold sweat poured out.
Can a knife fly to a passerby's feet while chopping meat?
Is this some kind of outrageous nonsense?!
