Chapter 37 Two-Headed Frost Ogre

Upon smelling the unfamiliar scent, Gao Gomok immediately dropped the roasted lamb he was holding, formed hand seals, and chanted a spell simultaneously with both heads.

Realizing she had been exposed, Nelly abandoned her plan to fully charge up her power and immediately launched a sneak attack, but she was still a step too late.

The two-headed ogre's casting speed was too fast, almost twice that of an ordinary spellcaster, and a piece of frost armor exuding cold air instantly solidified.

But the shadow energy released by Nelly instantly eroded a hole in the frost armor.

The dagger pierced through the frost ogre's fur coat, cutting through the rough skin and thick layer of fat, and precisely struck its spleen, causing a heavy blow and bleeding.

After landing a successful attack, Nelly revealed herself and retreated without hesitation. With two agile backflips, she crouched down and suddenly jumped up, landing on a nearby rooftop.

Gogomok then turned around, his gaze fixed on Neli, and quickly began chanting a spell. A 30-centimeter-long magical icicle instantly condensed and shot towards Neli.

Nelly rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack. The icy object struck the thatched roof, instantly freezing a frost patch half a meter in diameter, radiating a chilling aura.

After rolling over, Nelly got up smoothly, ran a few steps, jumped off the back of the house, and disappeared from Gogomok's sight.

"Grab her!" Gogomok roared, clutching his bleeding wound with his left hand.

speed!

An arrow suddenly appeared out of thin air, hitting Moke precisely in the right eye, and then exploded into a ball of flame with a loud bang.

The two-headed ogre was blown backward by the blast, staggered a few steps, and sat down on the ground. The eye socket where it had been shot with an arrow was blown open, exposing the bone and flesh of the eye socket, which was charred and red and white, and was emitting white smoke.

The next second, the two-headed ogre's mournful roar echoed through the mountain valley.

Meanwhile, Lorne also completed his first operation.

[A level 7 Frost Ogre has become your contracted servant.]

[Level 9 Frost Ogre successfully saves; Contract Servant conversion fails.]

There are currently 6 Frost Ogres on the field, 3 of which have been converted into Forging Servants.

Lorne immediately issued combat commands through telepathy between master and servant, and the three ogre servants rushed towards the two one-headed ogres.

Lorne himself reached out his psionic tentacles toward the two-headed ogre, taking advantage of its fall and blindness to deliver a flurry of blows.

After the two-headed ogre fell to the ground, it instinctively covered its eyes with its hands, preventing its psionic tentacles from gouging out its eyes and damaging its brain as usual.

Lorne had a sudden inspiration, and his two tentacles pierced the ear canals of the two heads respectively, stirring them wildly.

The next second, the two-headed ogre's body convulsed violently, then suddenly shuddered, went limp, and fell silent.

Lorne immediately withdrew his tentacles and reached towards the remaining two frost ogres.

The two frost ogres were currently wrestling with their three servants. Lorne did not kill them, but continued to try to convert them into [Bound Servants].

The reason is simple: he wants to take these ogres to Northwood Fortress to become an important fighting force against the orc invasion.

After three failed attempts, Lorne finally succeeded in converting the two level 9 Frost Ogres into Contracted Servants, and the battle ended.

Only then did Lorne break his invisibility and immediately extend his psionic tentacles toward the two-headed ogre's corpse.

The two-headed ogre's corpse was regenerating at a visible speed.

You have successfully transformed a level 20 Frost Ogre (corpse) into [Alien Body - Substitute Body].

Lorne immediately switched bodies and attacked in the form of a two-headed frost ogre.

Holy crap, what is this?

After changing his body, Lorne felt as if he had split into two, with two independent visions, as well as hearing and smell, but his sense of touch remained unified.

Good heavens, is this what it feels like to have two heads?

This is truly a battle between the left and right hemispheres of the brain.

Fortunately, as the memories are retrieved, this sense of dissonance is rapidly lessening.

Although it is impossible to completely eliminate it in the end, it no longer affects Lorne's ability to control this substitute body.

Only then did he realize that the substitute body he had just used was still lying at his feet.

It turns out that the storage proficiency of the substitute body had reached its limit, and the excess bodies could not be retrieved.

He tried to put the body into his storage space, but it turned out that the thing was a living organism and couldn't be put in.

Okay, it seems I can't always fill up the psionic subspace. I need to leave a few empty spaces so that I don't have extra bodies that I can't hide when I infiltrate, which would expose me.

Lorne then retrieved two more bodies from the psionic warp and threw them, along with the body, into the campfire.

The three bodies burned in the fire for a short while before collapsing into primal magic and dissipating naturally.

"Brother Lorne?" Nelly's soft voice came from behind.

Lorne turned around and, not seeing Nelly, raised his hand in salute.

The next second, Nelly deactivated her invisibility, quickly walked over and placed a Shadow Guard mark on Lorne, then disappeared into the shadows.

Lorne had originally intended to have Nelly inform the other elves, but now it seemed he would have to go himself.

During the battle, the snow elves successfully escaped the village and reunited with the elves lying in ambush outside.

Lorne strode to the village entrance and waved towards the woods where the elves were hiding.

After waving for several seconds without seeing the elves appear, he saluted again.

This time, one or two elves did peek out, but they still hesitated and didn't dare to come over.

Wow, they're pretty good at fighting fraud.

Lorne had no choice but to transform into an elven body in front of everyone and wave again.

The next moment, the elves swarmed out and quickly gathered around.

"Is the battle over?" the snow elf village chief asked, his expression conveying a sense of unreality.

Lorne nodded: "The battle with the ogres is over, but the battle with the orcs is not."

The snow elf village chief nodded in understanding and solemnly said, "We are willing to follow you down the mountain to resist the orc invasion."

Upon hearing this, the other snow elves all showed expressions of surprise, but did not say anything more.

"That's wonderful, thank you all." Lorne smiled sincerely.

"No, we should be thanking you. If it weren't for you, our whole village would have become something of cannibals." The village chief said, and was about to give Lorne and the other elves present a deep bow.

The other snow sprites also bowed and knelt down.

Lorne quickly grabbed the village chief's arm: "No need, no need. All elves are our fellow countrymen and family. We just did what we should do."

The other elves who were traveling with Lorne rushed to help, but the snow elves were inherently stubborn, as if to say, "If you don't accept our thanks, we won't get up."

Left with no other choice, Lorne snapped to attention, gave a sharp salute, and shouted, "May the goddess bless the elves!"

The other elves, understanding the message, also stood at attention and saluted: "May the goddess bless the elves!"

The snow elf, having already learned the meaning of this etiquette through the mind's eye, stood up with the village chief and returned the greeting: "May the goddess bless the elves!"

You have completed the campaign event [Unite all forces that can be united], gaining 1000 experience points. (1600/1000)

You have accumulated enough experience to level up.

Lorne lowered his hand and said to the elves, "It's getting late. We'll spend the night in the village and set off to cross the snow-capped mountains early tomorrow morning."

"Come on, let's prepare dinner and a place for everyone to sleep." The village chief immediately called the villagers and elves into the village.

But most of the elves did not move; they huddled around Lorne, awaiting further orders.

Lorne knew what they were waiting for, so he waved his hand and said, "You guys go and rest too. I'll go to Mama Bear's to pick up the other elves by myself."

"Your Majesty Lorne, I'm not tired, I'll go with you!" an elf immediately shouted from the crowd.

"Your Majesty Lorne, I'm not tired either, I'll go too!" someone immediately chimed in.

"Your Majesty Lorne, I'm going too!"

"Your Majesty Lorne, I'm going too!"

More and more elves began to speak, all wanting to travel with Lorne as if it were an extremely high honor.

"How many times have I told you? Don't call me Your Majesty, call me Comrade!" Lorne pretended to be angry and put on a stern face.

The elves were silent for a second, then erupted in an even more enthusiastic cheer:

"Comrade Lorne, I'm not tired, I'll go with you!"

"Comrade Lorne, I'm not tired either!"

"Comrade Lorne..."

"Comrade Lorne..."

Lorne had no choice but to symbolically select a few elves to accompany him, so that the other elves would obediently go and rest.
