Looking at Ron's exaggerated smile, Lingling felt a slight chill in her heart. She thought, "I mean, you can be happy, but can you please not show that kind of smile that sends chills down my spine?"

Ron didn't step forward immediately. He stood there, his brows slightly furrowed. With Zeus not around, he was conflicted and didn't know how to deal with this imposter.

But... whatever you do is fine, right?

Anyway, this guy is immortal.

Uninstall QQ?

Why does the uninstallation process keep getting stuck?

But with Lingling around, he had to be mindful of his own image.

"Ah~~!"

A painful howl abruptly interrupted Ron's thoughts.

Ron looked up sharply, his gaze falling on the figure in front of him. The imposter was kneeling on the ground, clutching his neck with both hands, his mouth wide open, and a thick cloud of black smoke was billowing from the depths of his throat.

Ron's pupils contracted slightly. Was he summoning demons and monsters again?

"No...don't abandon me, great God, I'm still useful, no~~~~"

The imposter's voice came out intermittently from his throat, as if something was stuck in it.

His body shriveled up at a visible rate; his skin cracked and collapsed like dehydrated soil, and then...

A muffled "boom" was heard.

Purple arcs of electricity flickered and leaped around him, and then his shriveling body suddenly exploded.

"No~~~~!"

"No~~~!"

Ron suddenly reached out, as if trying to grab something, but only grasped at thin air.

Click~

As the explosion subsided, a skeleton landed on the ground with a thud.

"Aaaaaahhhhhh~~~"

He knelt on the ground, slamming his fists into the earth, yelling, "Why! Why?!"

Lingling stood to the side, dumbfounded. "Crazy! So what if he died? Is it really that big of a deal? Anyone who didn't know better would think your teammate had died."

Ron looked up, his eyes dry, but his expression was more exaggerated than if he were crying: "Linlin, did you see that? He's dead!"

Lingling crossed her arms, looking speechless. "I'm not blind. And you, get up! What are you so sad about? Anyone who didn't know better would think you lost a teammate!"

Ron stood up, his emotions instantly subsiding, but his tone remained serious: "How can I not be upset? I haven't even made a move yet, and he's already dead before me. What kind of treatment is that? Letting him die so easily is letting him off too easily."

Lingling sighed softly, suddenly realizing that even if she died one day, Ron probably wouldn't have such a big reaction.

Then, she pointed to the skeleton on the ground: "Aren't there still skeletons there? Let's grind them to ashes."

Ron waved his hand, his expression returning to normal, and his tone softening: "Forget it. A few seconds of sadness is enough. If you're sad for too long, he'll think he got away with it."

"............"

Lingling glanced at him, her lips twitched, but she only clicked her tongue and didn't say anything more.

-------------------------------------

In the blink of an eye, several more days have passed.

Beehive Island.

The morning sun was just rising from the edge of the boundless sea, gilding the entire surface with a layer of flowing golden light.

On the deck of the Sword of Gibbeck, the salty sea breeze rustled through the ropes between the masts.

Lockes stormed onto the deck, clutching a stack of bills.

"Hey, Newgate!" Rocks yelled at the white-bearded man fishing on the ship's railing, "What the hell are you drinking, you bastard?! You've got me in debt for millions?!"

The white-bearded man's hand holding the fishing rod paused slightly. He slowly moved his body and turned his head leisurely: "Don't be impulsive, Rocks, let me explain."

"What else do you have to say?!" Lockes slammed the bill down with a loud thud.

The white-bearded man said in a serious tone, "That wasn't from drinking; it was from losing a bet."

"??????"

Lox stood there stunned, taking a couple of seconds to recover before his voice suddenly rose: "What the hell?! That's not how you explain it! Give me a proper explanation, Newgate!"

Yeah, he thought Whitebeard would come up with some decent reason, but the bastard just explained that "it wasn't from drinking," and then added, "it was from gambling."

It would be better not to explain at all.

"OK."

The white-bearded man turned his gaze back without changing his expression. "Then I'll find a better excuse next time."

Rocks flipped through the bill, then said, "Damn it, there's this bastard named Uchiha Madara who impersonated our Rocks Pirates and lost 1600 million Berries gambling. I really..."

He suddenly stopped mid-sentence.

He looked down at the name on the bill, then looked up at the white-bearded man sitting calmly on the ship's railing, his mind racing.

Gambling? Like Whitebeard?

"All right."

Lox took a deep breath. "That Ron kid has gotten too bold, making me take on debts and not even using his own name."

"See?"

The white-bearded man slowly replied, "I told you Ron's method wouldn't work; he guessed it right away."

Kaido leaned against the other side of the ship's railing, quietly watching the farce unfold. A bad feeling welled up inside him; given Rocks' current explosive temper, he would definitely vent his anger on him under the guise of "training."

Ron, you bastard... when are you coming back? You never take me with you when you go out to play!

"Europe."

suddenly.

A newsbird landed on the railing next to Kaido, tilting its head as it looked at him, as if waiting for something.

Kaido casually reached into the small bag on its back and pulled out a newspaper.

But the news bird didn't fly away; it still tilted its head and looked at him, its eyes conveying a message like, "Brother, be considerate and pay up."

Annika quickly emerged from the cabin door, took a hundred-beli banknote from her pocket, and gently placed it into Newsbird's other small bag.

The newsbird, satisfied with receiving the money, flapped its wings and took flight.

"Why give it money?" Kaido asked, looking at the news bird that had flown away, his tone tinged with dissatisfaction.

"Lord Kaido. A newspaper costs one hundred Berries," Annika said with a smile.

"To paraphrase Ron, the more you indulge it, the more it will take advantage. What we should do is be grateful for nature's bounty," Kaido said slowly.

Annika maintained her smile and said gently, "Lord Kaido, you have misunderstood Lord Ron's meaning."

"Shh~" Kaido put a finger to his lips, his expression serious: "You only understand the surface. I understand much deeper than you do."

"Splash~~"

A brand-new wanted poster fell out from between the pages of the newspaper and landed lightly at Annika's feet.

Annika instinctively bent down to pick it up, and when she saw the portrait on the wanted poster, her eyes lit up, and her voice was filled with barely suppressed surprise: "It's Lord Ron!"

"What? Ron?" Kaido casually threw the newspaper aside, snatched the wanted poster from Annika's hand, and his pupils contracted slightly as his gaze fell on the portrait.
