Horrifying.

An indescribable sense of fear rose in Newman's heart.

She didn't even dare to look Rolner in the eye, only turning her head slightly away.

The camera was pointed at Homelander at that moment, not at Rolner and Newman.

Stan sat in the stands, his face ashen, watching Rolner approach Newman, unable to do anything.

"Congressman Newman"

"Actually, you're a superhuman too, right?"

Rolner brought his head close to Newman's ear and gently opened it. The warm, damp breeze blew past Newman's ear, but it felt like she had fallen into an ice cave.

"Director Rolner, I don't understand what you're talking about."

"Ah, I don't understand."

Rolner stepped back, looking at Newman with narrowed eyes.

"My brain was almost blown up by some mysterious force just now."

"Tell me, who here could have created that mysterious power?"

"Homelander? Stan? And those superhuman bodyguards they brought with them?"

"Congressman Newman, as the Director of the FBSA, you must be able to easily guess who it is."

Rolner spoke slowly and deliberately, while Homelander beside him was already talking animatedly, his emotions running high.

"You are disrupting the world order."

Newman paused for a moment, then looked up, her pupils slightly white, and met Rolner's gaze.

"Disrupt the order?"

Rolner had never felt the world was so absurd.

"What kind of order are you referring to?"

"With Vought in charge of superhumans, using them to control global order?"

"Is it because of the outflow of V compound that supervillains are constantly emerging all over the world, causing widespread disruption to order?"

"Congressman Newman, you're a smart man. You should know that Compound V cannot remain hidden forever."

Rolner sat down on the sofa next to Newman, crossed his legs, rested his chin on one hand, and looked at Newman with great interest.

To be honest, if Newman hadn't used his superpowers on him, he would never have imagined that this big-eyed congressman was actually Stan's pawn.

It was unexpected, but quite interesting nonetheless.

Stan is getting old; his behavior patterns are becoming more rigid, and his thinking is no longer as flexible as it was in his youth.

Fighting Stan is like dueling a pre-programmed NPC in a game.

But Newman was different; she was a smart woman and she was still very young.

If she weren't smart, she wouldn't have been able to become a member of Congress with Stan's covert support alone.

She is also very agile.

The scheme orchestrated by himself and his homelanders has driven Stan to his doom.

Without hesitation, as the game neared its end, Newman considered using force to eliminate himself, the chess player.

Her superpowers were so well hidden that even Rolner and Homelander were unaware of them.

After all, who would have thought that the director of the Superhuman Management Bureau, who hates superhumans the most and has been calling for "superhuman oversight," would be a superhuman?

Stan really figured out this trick of hiding the truth.

In Rolner's view, this was Stan's last sensible move.

Unfortunately, he also received some minor protection.

"If Walter has a problem, the whole of America will suffer."

Newman still did not directly address the issue with Rolner.

"Well, Walter is indeed a behemoth."

Rolner nodded in approval.

"Spanning numerous industries, it owns one-fifth of the assets in the United States."

"So neither Congress nor the military will really let Vought destroy it."

"Hey, Lor, give me a glass of water, please."

He said this to the superhumans shining spotlights in the distance.

A glass of water filled with clear water floated over.

"Hmm, where were we? Oh, right."

"They won't let Walter ruin it, but they wouldn't mind changing Walter's management."

Rolner felt a sense of pleasure as he looked at Newman, whose face was pale and unpleasant.

The Homelander's speech is over.

He abandoned all the prepared lines that Stan and Madeline had given him and spoke his heart out.

The host remained expressionless as she took the microphone back from Homelander and then handed it to Newman, who was standing next to her.

"Congressman Newman, please share your views."

With a stiff smile, Newman slowly stood up from the sofa. Her speech was still fluent, but it was no longer as infectious as before.

Homelander walked up to Rolner.

"How was my presentation?"

"It's nothing to worry about."

The man from the motherland's face stiffened.

"...Okay, you spoke very well, very engagingly."

Rolner's lips twitched, and he turned to praise Homelander.

"Do you think Saiki would be happy if he saw this?"

"Yes."

Rolner nodded.

"Because this is what a true homelander is."

The corners of the father's mouth curled up.

Madeline in the audience was still winking at Homer, who glanced at her and nodded slightly.

"I must remind you, Madeline has always been Stan's accomplice."

Rolner didn't look at Madeline, but instead reminded Homelander.

"I know."

The man nodded.

"But she still has some use, doesn't she?"

Rolner looked at Homerman with some surprise.

When did this guy become intelligent?

They've even learned the term "utility value" now.

"I've actually read a lot of books."

Homelander could sense the surprise in Rorna's eyes, and he defended himself.

"Whatever makes you happy."

Rolner glanced at Newman, who was awkwardly speaking there, and patted Homelander on the shoulder.

"I'm leaving now."

"where are you going?"

"Go and take over the CEO position."

Ronner's lips curled into a smile. He straightened his black and gold trench coat, put his hands in his pockets, and left with these words.

As he reached the door, he addressed the few men who remained there:

"I have high hopes for Mr. Stan and the board members."

"Let them enjoy afternoon tea here."

"They can come out once everything is over."

Several superhumans nodded.

"Yes, Archbishop."

"Shh, outside, call me Director."

Rolner's voice carried a hint of relief.

After rebelling for so long, he has finally found a good opportunity.

He gained the support of the military and Congress, and also won over a large number of supporters within the Vought.

While Stan and others were anxious about the exposure to Compound V, he had already begun preparing to seize power.

The fighting force that Walter currently has is far less than what it used to be.

Of the seven superheroes, only Homelander, Maeve, and Starlight are truly capable of fighting.

With ease, Rolner and his men carried out a long-planned "coup."
