The moment the skill was activated, his body, propelled by the spear, vanished before the hunter's blade. He didn't charge towards the hunter, but rather towards the half-open door.

At the same moment the spear tip pierced the door panel, Su Mu's spear had already thrust out.

The first shot. The black man, who was unbuckling his belt, didn't even have time to look up before the gun tip pierced his temple, penetrating his skull. Dark red blood and grayish-white brain matter gushed out from the other side, splattering on the wall behind him.

His body stiffened for a moment, then collapsed limply to the ground, his belt still half-undone and his pants slipped down to his knees.

The second shot. The black man who had been holding the woman's shoulder had just stood up, his hand not yet reaching for the knife at his waist, when the gun tip pierced his eye socket and exited through the back of his head. The body fell backward, crashing against the wall, sliding down and leaving a long trail of blood on the ground.

The third shot. The middle-aged Asian man turned to run, but before he could take a step, the gun tip pierced his neck, went through his throat, and exited from his Adam's apple. He clutched his neck with both hands, blood gushing from between his fingers, making muffled gurgling sounds. He knelt on the ground, then collapsed, motionless.

Fourth shot. Fifth shot. Sixth shot.

Before the two white men could even release the girl, the gun tip had already pierced their hearts. The moment the gun was pulled out, blood gushed from the wound, splattering onto the girl's face, body, and the hem of her pink and white cosplay dress. Her eyes widened, her mouth opened, but she couldn't make a sound.

Less than two seconds. Six people, six shots, six vital organs.

Su Mu sheathed his gun and stood in the spreading pool of blood, the spear hanging at his side, blood still dripping from its tip. His gaze swept over the corpses, expressionless. The woman kneeling on the ground, her face splattered with blood, stared blankly at Su Mu, her lips trembling as if she wanted to say something, but only a hoarse, choked sob escaped her throat.

Su Mu didn't look at her. His gaze was fixed on the corridor... the Hunter was still there.

From the moment Su Mu burst through the door to the moment the six corpses fell to the ground, less than two seconds passed. The hunter's knife was still raised in mid-air, the dust from the broken bricks still clinging to the blade. He tilted his head, looking at Su Mu, and for the first time, a kind of "surprise" appeared in his empty eyes... not fear, not astonishment, but more like a bewilderment of "How dare you?"

He really hadn't expected it.

His original plan was simple... rush in, kill those eight people, stack a temporary buff, and then go find Xiao Jiu. He was wary of the Black Kill Squad, but the few survivors hiding in the stadium were no different from lambs to the slaughter in his eyes.

He even wondered if this was a trap... if the Black Killers were lying in ambush waiting for him? But he quickly dismissed the idea. The Black Killers, though ruthless, were always friendly to survivors; they wouldn't use survivors as bait.

Then he saw Su Mu.

They saw Su Mu rush in. They saw Su Mu kill six people in less than two seconds.

The hunter's gaze swept over the six corpses, then landed on Su Mu. He opened his mouth, but no words came out. Six corpses, six survivors... no, there were only six corpses now. Even if he rushed in and killed the remaining two, it wouldn't be enough to provide the temporary boost he needed.

The man with the long spear was still blocking the doorway.

He miscalculated one thing.

This person isn't part of the Black Kill Squad. The Black Kill Squad doesn't kill survivors, but this person does. This person isn't here to rescue him; he's here to cut off his supplies.

The hunter didn't think twice. He suddenly staggered backward, not just a step or two, but his entire body was propelled from the middle of the corridor to the end. Then he turned and ran in another direction.

That direction is where Xiao Jiu is going.

His target was never the eight survivors. Killing them was just a side effect, to stack up his amplification. His real target from the beginning was Xiao Jiu. And now, since he couldn't gain anything here, he would go directly to kill Xiao Jiu. Killing Xiao Jiu would provide a greater amplification than killing a hundred ordinary survivors.

Su Mu looked in the direction the hunter had disappeared, but didn't give chase. Instead, he pressed the communicator.

Actually, Su Mu originally wanted to deal with the hunter first, but this guy must have the ability to survive if he could be chased for so long. If he failed to kill him and instead gave him a killing buff, that would be like lifting a rock only to stab himself in the foot.

......

Su Mu didn't give chase. He knew he couldn't catch up. He pressed the communicator: "Xiao Jiu, the hunters have passed by. Be careful."

Xiao Jiu's voice came through the communicator, much calmer than Su Mu had expected.

"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time."

A rustling sound came from the communicator, like the rustling of clothes or the soft rustling of some plant growing rapidly in the soil. Then the sound suddenly amplified, turning into a continuous, dense noise like a downpour hitting a tin roof.

As soon as Su Mu rushed out of the stadium, a huge, visible shockwave exploded in the darkness in the distance.

It wasn't an explosion... Explosions produce flames. The shockwave was grayish-white, like something suddenly expanding from the ground, pushing the air in all directions. Wherever the shockwave passed, the windows of buildings on both sides of the street shattered simultaneously, the shards of glass cascading down like a waterfall, shimmering for a moment in the moonlight, before crashing to the ground and crumbling into powder.

The ground was shaking. Not the rhythmic tremors of a giant walking by, but a continuous, high-frequency shudder, as if something was growing, expanding, and spreading wildly underground. Fine cracks appeared on the concrete pavement beneath my feet, spreading outwards at a visible speed, covering the entire street like a spider web.

Su Mu did not stop to think.

He burst from his hiding place, rushing towards Xiao Jiu at full speed. The ground beneath his feet became increasingly uneven, with some sections arched up by things that had emerged from the ground. He nearly twisted his ankle several times as he stepped on the raised areas. The air was filled with a strong, raw, plant scent... not the fresh fragrance of cut grass, but a more intense, earthy smell, as if some enormous plant had grown wildly in a short period, turning up the humus from the ground.

The deafening sounds of battle echoed through the night sky. It wasn't the sound of gunfire or explosions, but rather the dull thud of vines striking the ground, the cracking of branches snapping, and a sharp, metallic hissing sound... the sound of the hunter's knife swung at high speed.

When Su Mu arrived, the battlefield had already changed.
