Su Mu remained silent for a moment.

He roughly understood Da Feng's intentions... to offer help to survivors when they first entered this world and were at their most vulnerable, to build goodwill, and to lay the foundation for future cooperation or recruitment. This wasn't charity; it was a long-term investment. But at least, the organization's philosophy wasn't plunder or enslavement, but rather "to fight together against an unknown threat."

Compared to those organizations that treat survivors like韭菜 (a metaphor for exploiting or exploiting them), Dafeng at least shows some goodwill.

Su Mu did not immediately respond. He pointed to the burly man behind Bai Liuxi... the man was still holding the detection device.

"How can you be sure of my identity? Aren't you afraid I might be sent by some other organization?"

Bai Liuxi tilted her head slightly, and the burly man understood. He stepped forward and handed the device to Su Mu.

"This device was purchased from the Seventh World," Bai Liuxi said. "It can detect personal information. Not just your level, profession, and combat strength, but even your name and which cable you come from can be displayed."

The burly man tapped a few times on the screen, then turned the screen towards Su Mu.

Su Mu saw his own information.

[Identification ID: Not Registered]

Name: Su Mu

[Source: Cable No. 886]

[Level: Lv6]

【Class: Gunner (Purple)】

[Combat Strength Assessment: 414.....]

That's not all. Scroll down the screen for even more detailed data: attributes... Although there are no specific numerical values, each item is labeled with a rating... S, A, B, C, the evaluation is clear and distinct.

Su Mu was surprised as he looked at it.

This thing is even more detailed than his system panel.

"Your equipment... is truly terrifying." Su Mu's tone carried a genuine sense of awe.

Bai Liuxi put the equipment away, her tone as calm as if she were saying the weather was nice: "You'll encounter more of this in the future."

She paused, then got straight to the point: "We need your help. To deal with that level 10 green monster. In exchange, we can use this device to help you find someone."

Su Mu remained silent for a moment.

His original plan was to rescue Lin Yuwei first, but there had been no response from her. He sent messages, but they went unanswered. He didn't know her current situation or her location. But Bai Liuxi had this detection device... If he used it to search for Lin Yuwei's whereabouts, it would be many times more efficient than him wandering around aimlessly alone.

"Are you sure your target is level ten green?" Su Mu asked.

Bai Liuxi nodded: "Based on the clues we've tracked, it's highly likely. It could be higher, but it won't exceed level twelve."

Su Mu quickly calculated in his mind. He had fought level 10 green monsters before. The 20-meter-tall special giant was level 10 green, and the scarlet vine was level 10 purple; he had kill records of both. If this monster was also level 10 green, with his current strength and the assistance of these three people, his chances of winning were very high.

Moreover, he genuinely wanted to learn more about this world. The Great Wind Organization, the Seventh World, the Sixteenth World, the Eighteenth World... behind these names lay a wealth of information he didn't know. Traveling with Bai Liuxi and the others would at least allow him to learn more.

Su Mu was also curious about those people's weapons and equipment. That device that could detect personal information, that hand knife that could slice through concrete walls, that alloy shield that withstood the impact of a Licker without flinching... these things were clearly not from the same system as the equipment produced by the system.

Of course, the most important question is, what is Lin Yuwei doing with these three people?

What's so special about it?

"Okay," Su Mu said.

Their hands clasped together. Bai Liuxi's palms were icy cold, but her grip was strong, as if she were testing or confirming something.

After releasing her grip, Bai Liuxi tilted her head and gestured to the burly man and the lean man behind her.

"Old Wei, Zhao Cheng," she introduced briefly. "You've already seen it."

The burly old man, Lao Wei, nodded without saying a word, but his rough hands moved away from the shield and hung loosely at his sides.

The lean man, Zhao Cheng, merely nodded slightly, his half-closed eyes regaining their previous listless expression. However, Su Mu noticed that his right hand had moved away from beside the Tang sword.

Bai Liuxi didn't stop. She raised her hand and gestured towards the five-story building on the left side of the street.

A figure climbed out of a second-floor window.

Her movements were as nimble as a cat's, landing silently. She was a woman, around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, with short hair and ordinary features, wearing the same dark combat uniform as the burly man and Zhao Cheng.

She had a short blade at her waist and a flat metal box on her back with fine ventilation holes.

"Ah Qi," Bai Liuxi said, "is in charge of monitoring. She spotted you the moment you entered this area."

Su Mu's gaze lingered on Ah Qi for a moment. He recalled his route after entering the Dark Zone... He believed he had been careful enough, constantly scanning his surroundings with his area awareness, and had not found any trace of being followed or monitored.

This woman is no ordinary person.

Ah Qi did not make eye contact with Su Mu.

She walked behind Bai Liuxi, pulled a thin antenna from the side of the metal box, twirled it slightly in the air, and then retracted it—the whole process took less than two seconds. Su Mu noticed that after she did this, Bai Liuxi's expression visibly relaxed... as if she was confirming that no new threats were approaching.

Bai Liuxi then turned to the shadows on the other side of the street.

It was a corner of a building ruin, piled with collapsed floorboards and twisted steel bars. The moonlight couldn't reach there, and it was pitch black, so nothing could be seen.

But just as Bai Liuxi turned her gaze in that direction, a small figure emerged from a crack in the ruins.

It was a person who looked like a child. He was less than 1.5 meters tall, thin, and wore a large gray coat with the hood pulled low, covering most of his face. But judging from his exposed chin and the skin on his hands, he wasn't a child... at least not a child in the normal sense.

He was holding a pot of flowers in his arms.

The flower was planted in an ordinary terracotta pot, its surface rough and cracked. The flower itself was small, about the size of two fists, with deep purple petals edged by a ring of fine, dark red veins that shimmered faintly in the moonlight. Several thick leaves grew on the stem, their veins clearly visible, undulating slightly as if breathing.

Bai Liuxi glanced at the potted plant, then said to Su Mu, "Xiao Jiu. The botanist."
