Three times married to Yama

Chapter 42 Failure, Involved with the Dream Beggar Ghost

I asked Sister Jiang and Wang Jiancheng to coat the eggs with chicken blood and then set them aside to dry. Yun Fu squatted in front of the plate with the eggs, leaned over and gently sniffed them. Then I saw his lips move slightly, revealing the sharp tips of his two canine teeth.

I asked, "Do you want some?"

"I just haven't smelled blood in a long time, and I miss it a little." Yun Fu's expression looked a little intoxicated.

Yun Fu is a Corpse King. Although he now lives by absorbing the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and the essence of the sun and moon, and occasionally eats souls, I have no idea whether he has ever drunk blood.

If he really does drink blood, then it's a bit dangerous.

"Sister Jiang has a lot of chickens and ducks. If you want to reminisce about the taste of blood, I can buy a few from them so you can slowly savor the memory," I said calmly.

Yun Fu looked away from the chicken blood, and at the same time, he retracted his sharp teeth. He stood up and said, "No need, I don't eat blood that isn't from a spiritual creature."

It's installed again.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him in my mind. "If you're not using it, what are you standing there for? Go away and don't get in my way."

"Master, I can help you with the work. The bell around your neck must be heavy. Let me carry it for you." Yun Fu said, reaching her hand towards my chest.

I knew he was always eyeing my Sanqing Bell, so when Yun Fu was around, I would always pay special attention to it. So when he reached out, I dodged to the side and rang the bell.

The bell rang, and Yun Fu raised his hand to cover his head. He took a few steps back and stared at me with resentment.

"Come on, let me ask you, do I look like an idiot?" I moved closer to him, holding the Sanqing Bell in one hand and gripping his chin with the other, staring at him coldly.

Yun Fu shook her head. "No, Master's face is very fair and beautiful."

"Find a better excuse next time. Your excuse is so lame, even a dog wouldn't believe it." I let go of him and ignored his rebellious gaze.

The eggs were almost dry, and it was already late at night; if we didn't go to sleep soon, it would be dawn.

I told Sister Jiang and her family to go to sleep, because only when they were asleep would the ghost lurking in their dreams appear.

But Sister Jiang said to me, "Master Yin, it's not that we don't want to sleep, it's just that after what happened before, we're so scared that we can't sleep."

If I can't sleep myself, I can only try to lull them to sleep.

I smiled and said to them, "It's okay, I have a way. Just turn around, and I guarantee you'll fall asleep in a second."

Sister Jiang and her family of three trusted me completely, and they entrusted their backs to me with complete peace of mind.

I did not betray their trust in me. I raised my hand and struck them on the back of the neck with lightning speed. In less than three seconds, all three of them passed out.

Before they collapsed, I quickly had Yun Fu catch them and carry them to the bed.

Yun Fu looked at me with a meaningful gaze, "Your style of doing things is exactly the same as that old bastard's... just like your father's, only not as ruthless as him."

I ignored Yun Fu. He was about to call my dad an old bastard again, but thankfully he changed his mind quickly.

Besides, I'm my dad's biological daughter, so it's normal that we have similar ways of doing things; after all, like father, like daughter.

I arranged for Sister Jiang and her family of three to share a bed. I placed the chicken blood egg at the head of their bed. Since they didn't have an incense burner, I found a sweet potato, lit three incense sticks, and stuck them into the sweet potato.

The smoke from the burning incense, carrying the fishy smell of chicken blood and eggs, spiraled upwards, circled in the air, and then drifted towards the three people on the bed.

Then I saw the blue smoke enter Wang Jiancheng's nose, and sure enough, the Dream Beggar Ghost was now hiding in Wang Jiancheng's dream.

This is the first time I've used this method to deal with the Dream Beggar Ghost, and I don't know if it will work.

I stood quietly to the side, watching the three people on the bed.

At first nothing happened, but after about ten minutes, a short, thin figure appeared on top of Wang Jiancheng, who was lying on the bed.

He and Wang Jiancheng lay together, as if two figures on different layers had been superimposed. The child slowly sat up and took a deep breath of the burning incense.

I held my breath and carefully examined the dream-begging ghost. He looked like a skinny little child, but his grayish-blue skin and greedy eyes were quite creepy.

I put a talisman on myself, so the ghost can't see me.

As he inhaled deeply, the incense burned faster. At first, he was reluctant to leave Wang Jiancheng's body, but perhaps the smell of the chicken blood egg was too attractive to him. In the end, he completely left Wang Jiancheng's body and walked to the spot where the chicken blood egg was placed by the bedside.

Seeing that he had fully emerged, I quickly took out the Spirit Brush, which was my father's old stuff. He didn't take any of these things with him when he went missing.

I dipped my spirit brush in cinnabar and quickly walked up to Meng Qi Gui. As he bent down to suck the chicken blood egg, I raised my hand and touched the tip of the brush between Meng Qi Gui's eyebrows.

The begging ghost was instantly frozen in place, but soon the cinnabar dissolved between his eyebrows, and he let out an extremely piercing scream. Yin energy exploded in the room, shaking the windows.

A thread of unwavering will appeared on that gaunt body, connecting it to the still unconscious Wang Jiancheng.

In the blink of an eye, the Dream Beggar Ghost returned to Wang Jiancheng's body.

My eyes suddenly turned cold. This child was no ordinary beggar. There was an obsession between him and Wang Jiancheng!

Moreover, his obsession was so deep that even the cinnabar spirit brush could not hold him still!

It seems that to get rid of the begging ghost in my dream, I must first get rid of this obsession.

I woke Wang Jiancheng and Sister Jiang. Seeing my cold face, Sister Jiang was taken aback. "Master Yin, what's wrong?"

I looked at the two of them, and my attitude was no longer as gentle as before.

"Are you hiding something from me? You haven't told me everything about the child in my dream," I asked coldly.

Sister Jiang and Wang Jiancheng were both stunned. They looked at each other and saw confusion in each other's eyes.

Then Sister Jiang raised her hand and swore, "I really haven't hidden anything from you, Master Yin. I've told you everything I know!"

She looked at Wang Jiancheng and yelled, "Old Wang! Are you hiding something? If you don't tell the truth, I... I'll divorce you!"

At this point, I spoke up and said, "The child you dreamed of is indeed related to Wang Jiancheng. The one who tied the knot must untie it. If you don't tell me the truth, then I'm afraid I can't help you."

Upon hearing what I said, Wang Jiancheng was almost in tears. He scratched his head and racked his brains, but he still couldn't come up with the slightest clue.

"Master A-Yin, I really don't know that child in my dream. I've never even seen him before. How could he possibly be related to me?"

Judging from Wang Jiancheng and Sister Jiang's expressions, they don't seem to be faking it.

"If you don't know, is it possible that your relatives or parents know?" I asked.

Upon hearing this, Sister Jiang hurriedly said to Wang Jiancheng, "Master Yin is right. Go and ask your parents. Maybe they know. I wonder where you got this stuff from."

As she spoke, Sister Jiang explained to me that she was an orphan with no parents or relatives, and she was certain that she had never seen the child in her dream, so the problem could only lie with Wang Jiancheng.

Wang Jiancheng's parents lived in the same village, not far from Sister Jiang's house; it only took ten minutes to get there.

Sister Jiang dared not delay any longer and urged Wang Jiancheng to take us to find his parents. Wang Jiancheng was really scared, after all, he never wanted to experience sleepwalking and eating grave soil in the middle of the night again.

So at three in the morning, a few of us knocked on the door of the seventy-year-old man.

The person who opened the door was Wang Jiancheng's father. This old man Wang looked quite healthy. When he saw us knocking on the door in the middle of the night, he was only stunned for a moment before calling us into the house.

"What's wrong with coming during the day? Why do you have to come in the middle of the night?" Grandpa Wang yawned, clearly still half asleep.

"Dad! Something's happened! We're being haunted by a ghost!" Wang Jiancheng grabbed Grandpa Wang's hand tightly, startling him.
