Police Chief's Anti-Organized Crime Storm

A cell phone rang urgently, and the middle-aged man quickly picked it up: "Hello, what's wrong?"

"Secretary Ma... Secretary Ma, the forensic doctor examined the body and said... said..." The person on the other end of the phone stammered for a long time, not daring to reveal the results of the forensic examination. After all, he was the head of a county, a local official appointed by the higher authorities.

"Speak, Lao Liu, what's wrong with you? It's just that a county magistrate died. Hasn't anyone died in Gaoshan County?" The middle-aged man shouted angrily, startling the person on the other end of the phone into quickly blurting out, "She was raped?"

"What do you mean?" None of the middle-aged men understood.

"It means exactly what it says."

"What?" The middle-aged man's head buzzed, and he quickly asked, "What do you mean? Hasn't she always been alone?"

"Yes, but last night, it must have been Wang Dalong's men who got lustful and did that to County Chief Gao."

"What?!" The middle-aged man's face changed drastically. His hand trembled, and he almost dropped his phone. He quickly grabbed it, his heart pounding, a surge of boundless rage rising within him: "Damn it, what is Wang Dalong good for? That's the head of a county! Damn it, this is going to kill me! Doesn't he know that's the head of a county?!" That's a real government official, appointed by the city. You can kill him, but how dare you violate the head of a county, especially in her dormitory?!

The middle-aged man felt his heart pounding in his chest. Something terrible was about to happen. This absolutely couldn't be allowed to get out of the higher-ups' minds, and no one could possibly find out. Otherwise, even nine lives wouldn't be enough to save him from being killed by them—and this was a county magistrate, for he was no joke.

"Have someone cremate the body immediately, quick! Shut the forensic doctor up! I don't care what method you use, you have to shut the forensic doctor up, do you hear me?"

"I...I heard it!"

"Hurry, arrange for cremation, go quickly."

"But..." The body was not examined before it was cremated, which seemed to be against procedure. If the higher-ups investigated, I would definitely be punished. Moreover, if someone investigated further, this matter could not withstand scrutiny.

"No buts, right now, right now, cremate it, quick!" The middle-aged man's heart was pounding in his throat. After saying that, he quickly hung up the phone.

Thinking about what had just happened, he was furious and quickly took out his phone to dial another number: "Hello, Wang Dalong?"

"Brother Ma, it's me. What's up? Is everything settled? Are you satisfied?"

"Satisfied my ass! Do you even know she's the head of a county? She's a real government official! You fucking dare to send your men to mess with her? You're practically driving me to my death, Wang Dalong! Did you grow up eating shit? Huh? Damn it, how did I ever get to know a stupid pig like you!"

"Brother Ma, what did you say? Someone messed with that woman?" Wang Dalong's heart skipped a beat...

"Wang Dalong, I don't care what you're trying to do, this kind of revenge will kill us all. You know, she was the head of a county, a state cadre. You had someone seduce her, you son of a bitch, I..." The middle-aged man gritted his teeth in hatred. She was sent by the higher-ups. It would be one thing if she died, but if the higher-ups found out that this young county head had been raped before her death, then his career would be over. Moreover, the higher-ups would definitely not let it go. This time, he was really in deep trouble.

Wang Dalong was also startled, his voice somewhat hurried: "Brother Ma, believe me, I definitely didn't have anyone do this."

"I don't care what method you use, make sure everyone who messed with Gao Lan that night disappears immediately! Make them disappear immediately, understand?!" The middle-aged man roared, feeling his heart pounding in his throat. Damn it, what kind of mess is this? This incident has completely changed the nature of the situation. Forcing a county magistrate—damn it, he's still a colleague! Damn it, he really…

The middle-aged man went into a frenzy.

"Don't worry, Brother Ma, I'll send someone to handle it right away. Rest assured, I won't let you down."

"Wang Dalong, you'd better keep your word, or don't blame me for being ruthless. Also, let me tell you, Gao Lan is dead. The higher-ups will definitely send people down to investigate. You'd better behave yourselves for a while."

"Yes, Brother Ma, don't worry."

Before the man could say anything more, the middle-aged man slammed the phone down, showing no intention of continuing the conversation.

He threw his phone on the sofa, took out a cigarette and a lighter, trying to light it. However, his hand was shaking, and he couldn't light it no matter how many times he tried. Frustrated, he simply threw the cigarette and lighter aside, took a deep breath, and thought, "This time, I've really gone too far. Damn it, that stupid pig Wang Dalong is going to kill me!"

In the forensic office of the Criminal Investigation Brigade of Gaoshan County, Lu Xiujuan was completely stunned. The female county magistrate had been violated before her death, and not just by one person. What... what... who was so audacious?

Her heart was pounding in her chest. Should she have told Deputy Director Liu the news? County Chief Gao was a good man, who died in his dormitory for no reason, and now, it was discovered that he had been assaulted. What should she do? How should she write this report?

No, she was a forensic doctor; she couldn't let County Chief Gao die in vain. She quickly typed a few lines on the computer, printed it out, folded the report neatly, and stuffed it into a regular envelope.

Just as she finished, three policemen walked in: "Forensic Doctor Lu, how is it? Are you done?" The one in the lead was Liu Yixiong, deputy director of the Gaoshan County Public Security Bureau.

"It's all set. Nothing else was found to be unusual. If we're going to perform an autopsy, we need the family's consent. Do you think an autopsy is necessary?"

"An autopsy? No need. The case is already clear. It was a home invasion robbery. We're chasing the killer. Alright, give us the body. You don't need to worry about it."

"What?" Lu Xiujuan was startled and looked at the group in confusion. She saw two policemen step forward and begin packing up the body. Lu Xiujuan sensed that something was wrong.

"Director Liu, this body cannot be taken away casually. It is important evidence, and according to procedure..." Lu Xiujuan was about to stop him when Liu Yixiong glared at her coldly. Lu Xiujuan's heart pounded, and she swallowed back the words she was about to say.

"What about the autopsy report?" Liu Yixiong glanced at Lu Xiujuan, who was startled and quickly replied, "There wasn't enough time, I haven't written it yet!"

As the two policemen carried the body away in a bag, Lu Xiujuan's heart pounded. What was Liu Yixiong up to? Seeing the two policemen carrying the body out of the forensic hospital, Liu Yixiong walked up to Lu Xiujuan, his eyes fixed on her like a pair of hawks, his expression sinister, and his voice slowly rose…
