Ghost Immortal

Chapter 8 Trap

When the bald old man left, he said it would be three months.

With only a few days left, Li Feng wasn't sure if the old man would return early, so he had to be prepared to act at any time.

Once the bald old man returns, the Iron Guards will become his eyes and fists.

If Li Feng had an armored corpse lurking behind him while he was fighting the old man, his chances of winning would have decreased by at least 30%.

Moreover, if the armored corpse is unharmed but you are lying on the ground, it will definitely alert the other party.

The Iron Guard must be eliminated first.

Li Feng stood up, brushed the straw off his clothes, and walked towards the Iron Guard.

Iron Guard's head turned with him, its empty eye sockets following his direction.

Its task was simply to keep an eye on Li Feng; as long as Li Feng didn't try to escape, it wouldn't attack him.

Li Feng stopped three steps away from Tie Wei and looked up at the enormous thing in front of him.

Li Feng channeled his spiritual energy and suddenly raised his hand.

Palm Thunder!

A bolt of lightning, as thick as a chopstick, shot out from his palm and instantly struck Iron Guard in the chest.

Lightning crackled and popped as it flowed across the armor.

The armor is made of metal and has extremely high conductivity. The lightning traveled along the armor throughout the Iron Guardian's body, freezing its massive form in place.

The sudden attack triggered the Iron Guard's resistance mechanism. His stiff body trembled, and his giant bluish-gray hand slammed down on Li Feng's head.

This palm strike was accompanied by a whooshing sound and was even more powerful than the last time they fought. Clearly, the Iron Guard automatically entered a full-power state after being attacked.

Li Feng was prepared. He stepped on its body with his toes, used his lightness technique instantly, and easily flipped over to dodge.

Iron Guard missed his target with his palm strike and immediately gave chase.

After landing, Li Feng turned around, and lightning flashed in his right palm once again.

The second palm strike was aimed at Iron Guard's left knee.

The lightning struck the gap in the armor at the knee joint; the leather rope, already dry and blackened, snapped instantly upon impact.

The armor plates lost their connection and detached from the knees, revealing the bluish-gray skin and flesh underneath.

Li Feng's eyes lit up.

The Iron Guard's armor is not impenetrable; the joints are the weakest points.

By removing the armor at the joints, the Iron Guard's mobility can be restricted.

Iron Guard's massive body swayed slightly as the armor on its left knee came off, causing it to lose its balance.

But it was, after all, a reanimated corpse, devoid of pain and fear; the knee injury did not prevent it from continuing its attack.

It strode towards Li Feng, its two giant bluish-gray hands slamming down simultaneously, faster than before.

Li Feng once again used his lightness technique to dodge, while continuously unleashing lightning from his palms.

After the five palm strikes of lightning were unleashed, the iron armor on the Iron Guard's joints fell off, revealing bluish-gray flesh and dry bones.

Its movements were noticeably sluggish, its legs looked rusty, and its speed decreased by 50%.

Li Feng's dantian spiritual energy was already more than half depleted, but he did not stop.

The sixth palm strike struck Iron Guard directly in the chest.

This time, without the armor to stop it, the lightning directly pierced through the Iron Guardian's body.

The bluish-gray flesh was blasted open with a fist-sized hole by the lightning strike.

Black, foul blood and bits of flesh splattered out, emitting a pungent, putrid stench.

"Bang!"

Iron Guard's body trembled violently, and a low, muffled thud came from his chest, as if something inside had been shattered.

Like an enraged beast, it staggered toward Li Feng, its arms flailing wildly as it tried to grab him.

Li Feng calmly stepped back, maintaining a distance of three steps from Tie Wei.

He could clearly sense that the cold aura within Tie Wei's body was rapidly diminishing, like a leaky sack.

A chilling aura emanated from the hole in its chest and the wounds at its joints, and with each escaping, the Iron Guard's movements slowed.

Li Feng stopped wasting his spiritual energy and continued to use his lightness technique to dodge the Iron Guard's attacks. Occasionally, he would throw a fireball to burn the joints and accelerate the breaking of the leather rope.

This unequal battle lasted for about the time it takes for an incense stick to burn.

Iron Guard exhausted its last bit of Yin energy, and its massive body crashed to the ground.

After it fell to the ground, its limbs were still twitching mechanically, but it had completely lost the ability to move.

Li Feng stood beside Tie Wei, panting heavily.

In this battle, he consumed 60% of his spiritual energy.

He used seven palm lightning bolts and more than a dozen fireballs to wear down a refined corpse with strength equivalent to a three-inch spiritual root.

The bald old man could return at any time, so he had to get everything arranged as soon as possible.

Li Feng squatted down to examine the remains of the Iron Guard. The face under the iron mask was completely dried up, like dried bacon, but the outline of Zhao Yuanshan could still be vaguely seen.

Three years ago, the tall boy, who had been working diligently and almost escaped death, finally succumbed to the clutches of the bald old man.

Li Feng reached out and closed the Iron Guard's iron mask, covering his withered face.

Stand up and quickly set up the scene.

He first dragged the remains of the Iron Guard to the inside of the temple gate, leaned it against the wall, and positioned it in a posture that looked like it had been crippled and collapsed.

Most of the armor on the Iron Guard had fallen off, revealing bluish-gray skin and stark white bones, making it a pitiful sight.

In fact, it was quite tragic; this couldn't be faked.

Then Li Feng walked to the medicine cauldron, grabbed the handles with both hands, and pushed hard.

The heavy bronze cauldron crashed to the ground, its mouth facing down, spilling medicine dregs and water all over the floor.

Several pieces of green rust and medicinal residue on the surface of the cauldron were chipped off, revealing the dark bronze color underneath.

Li Feng then poured all the herbs out of the bamboo basket, scattering them all over the ground.

He smashed the water vat in the corner with one palm, and clear water spilled all over the ground, soaking a large area.

The altar in front of the statue was overturned, and the broken earthenware pots on it were smashed to pieces.

After doing all that, Li Feng rolled around on the ground a few more times, making his clothes tattered and covered in mud and grass clippings.

He scraped some black medicinal residue from the bottom of the cauldron and smeared it on his face and arms. The fireball burned several charred marks on the wall, creating a chaotic scene after a fierce battle.

He had already prepared the camouflage for the mud pit formation in advance.

The ground covered by the array was covered with withered grass and leaves, with a speck of loose soil scattered on it, making it look exactly like the surrounding yellow earth.

Next to the formation was a bluestone slab, used to guide the old man's path.

After everything was arranged, Li Feng looked inside from the entrance of the dilapidated temple and lay down in the most conspicuous spot.

He was curled up on his side, facing the direction of the temple gate, with one arm resting on a broken stone slab and the other hand tucked into his sleeve, where three immobilization talismans were hidden.

Close your eyes, activate the Breath Concealment Technique, and suppress the fluctuations of spiritual energy within your body.

His body was curled up, his breathing was weak, and his face was covered with black medicine residue, making him look like he had been severely injured and had passed out.

But his ears were perked up, all five senses were activated, and he was capturing every sound outside the temple.

If that old bald guy dares to come back, he will kill him!

He thought to himself that when the bald old man returned from the foot of the mountain and walked up the stone steps, the first thing he would look at was the temple gate.

As soon as the temple door opened, the first thing he saw was the wreckage of the Iron Guard, the dilapidated temple in disarray, and Li Feng lying on the ground, his life hanging in the balance.

The old man must have been very anxious to see this.

After all, Li Feng was a human pill he had nurtured for sixteen years. Now that something unexpected had happened, how could he not panic?

The bald old man's first reaction was definitely to instinctively rush in and check the situation.

As soon as he rushes in, he'll step into a mud pit, and Li Feng will give him a good beating!
