Farming Life Starting in Africa

Chapter 270 Rosen's Daydream

As soon as he finished speaking, Hu Feng started the engine in the driver's seat. The heavy tires rolled over the gravel road, and the cumbersome and powerful Paramount Marauder slowly drove onto the highway, making a dull friction sound.

All eighty racing drones took off and, following the preset coordinates, swarmed towards the distant castle at high speed.

As the drone formation drew closer, the piercing buzzing grew clearer, and the militants inside the castle peered out of the windows, their faces filled with doubt and curiosity.

They had no idea that the money had come from collecting it.

The guards stationed at the entrance of the valley emerged from the shadows and watched as a menacing-looking armored vehicle sped toward them from behind the drone that had just flown past.

All the guards tensed up instantly, raising their rifles and pistols, aiming them at the oncoming guns, just as they were about to fire.

Two sharp cannon shots ripped through the sky as mortar shells, trailing afterimages, slammed into the open ground at the mouth of the valley.

A deafening explosion resounded, and a massive shockwave swept in all directions, sending dust and debris soaring into the sky.

Through the bulletproof glass, Hu Feng could clearly see the intersection ahead littered with blood and flesh, and fragments of limbs flying everywhere, a scene that was extremely shocking.

A strong wind blew through the valley, and the dust and smoke slowly dissipated, leaving only a mess at the crossroads, with bits of flesh and blood splattered all over the road, a shocking sight.

Hu Feng subconsciously swallowed, suppressing the shock in his heart, and slammed on the accelerator. The heavy armored vehicle sped up, its speed increasing rapidly, crushing the limbs scattered on the ground, and steadily advancing towards the castle.

On the road ahead, mortar shells landed precisely from time to time, clearing out the stubborn defenders and blasting a safe passage through them.

The grenade launcher on the roof of the vehicle would occasionally fire a high-explosive grenade to supplement firepower during the intervals between mortar shots.

On either side of the vehicle, Awei and Chen Xiwang each operated an M249 general-purpose machine gun, their muzzles constantly spitting fire, instantly suppressing and killing any enemies who dared to peek out.

In fact, at this point, few guards dared to resist.

These guards knew better than anyone that this level of overwhelming firepower was something that ordinary forces could not produce.

The Mexican military has long been in cahoots with them, so it's impossible for them to target them directly.

Apart from the US military, no one possesses such strength. Once they realized this, the remaining guards were terrified and scattered in all directions, not daring to confront them head-on.

Just as the armored vehicles were advancing at full speed, a series of dense explosions came from the direction of the castle, with booming sounds layer upon layer.

All eighty flying machines arrived at the target area, smashed through the glass windows one by one, and rushed straight into the various rooms of the castle to detonate.

Violent explosions rang out one after another, causing the entire sturdy castle to tremble violently, as if it were about to collapse at any moment.

In the footage transmitted by the drone, all the castle windows were twisted and deformed, thrown outside and shattered by the violent shockwave.

Thick black smoke billowed from many rooms, most likely caused by the explosion cracking the wiring, causing a short circuit and sparking, with sporadic flames quietly spreading along the flammable decorations.

The heavily loaded drone, carrying a gun case, landed precisely on the rooftop balcony where Guan Yuming was located.

Guan Yuming, who had just experienced a series of intense explosions, was pale and his heart was pounding. He had not yet recovered from the shock.

He'd seen this kind of firepower before; even the Laoshan campaign hadn't seen this level of intensity.

Guan Yuming carefully walked out of the room, holding onto the cracked edge of the balcony, and laboriously dragged the black gun bag into the house.

The gun bag not only contained the weapons prepared for him, but also a complete set of bulletproof clothing, which he had specifically asked Rosen to prepare for his daughter.

That full-scale bombardment just now really startled him.

Although he knew the castle's main structure was sturdy and wouldn't collapse easily, the oppressive feeling of the earth shaking still instilled a deep-seated fear in him.

Before long, the Paramount raiders steadily charged to the main gate of the castle. The place was already empty; the guards who had been patrolling back and forth earlier had all been frightened and retreated inside the castle, and no one dared to stay on the outside.

The armored vehicle was parked beside the ornamental pool in front of the gate. Rosen, Lone Wolf, Chen Xiwang, and Awei, all fully armed, disembarked swiftly and awaited orders. Only Chen Ximeng and Hu Feng remained in the vehicle to oversee the rear and the equipment.

The four men quickly exchanged glances, used tactical hand signals to cover each other, and made a low-profile, rapid advance, splitting into two teams.

Rosen and Lone Wolf teamed up to walk down the west side of the stairwell, while Chen Xiwang and Awei cleaned the east side area.

The interior of the castle was no longer as luxurious and orderly as it once was; it had been completely reduced to a mess.

Thick smoke billowed and sparks flew everywhere. Collapsed and shattered plasterboard partitions were visible everywhere, their surfaces covered with dense, penetrating cracks, and many sections of the walls were deformed and bulging.

The solid wood door panels were all shattered and fell off, the twisted door frames hung crookedly on the wall, and many broken door panels were directly slammed against the corridor wall by the shock wave.

Many rooms were covered with gravel, wood chips, glass shards, and various other debris. Scattered pieces of fabric mixed with dark red bloodstains emitted a pungent, burnt odor from the sporadic flames, making one want to vomit.

Lone Wolf, carrying an M4A1 carbine, led the way, his steps quick and steady, his eyes sharp as an eagle's.

Occasionally, a few remaining militants who hadn't been killed in the bombing would manage to surface, but before they could even fire back, he would shoot them in the head with pinpoint accuracy, their skulls exploding in a spray of blood, and they would fall to the ground dead.

Rosen followed leisurely behind, watching the lone wolf's clean and efficient killing moves, and even had a ridiculous illusion in his mind.

I'm not here to rescue people on a high-risk battlefield; it's as easy as a sightseeing trip.

As the two were about to step onto the stairs and head towards the top floor, Rosen glanced around and suddenly noticed that a large section of the wall on the other side of the corridor had been blown open, with something brightly visible deep inside the crack, instantly piquing his curiosity.

He immediately called out to Lone Wolf, who had already started going upstairs: "Are you sure you can go upstairs by yourself? I'll go check out the room next door."

Lone Wolf was speechless for a moment upon hearing this, inwardly cursing. "We're here to risk our lives to save people, can't you be serious for once? And you're taking the time to slack off and wander around the room?"

However, he was used to Rosen's casual style, and with his own superior strength, he was not afraid of being harassed by the remaining enemies. He simply nodded to indicate that he was perfectly fine.

Scattered gunshots rang out from time to time throughout the castle, the sounds of two groups of men clearing out the remaining forces. The intensity was not high and did not cause any real trouble.

Lone Wolf is a lone wolf who often carries out various high-risk missions alone and rarely partners with others. Naturally, he didn't bother with Rosen's temporary actions and turned around to continue steadily upstairs.
