Survival in the Core: I'm writing a guide for the entire server.

Lin You didn't hesitate for long. After glancing at the reward options, she had already made up her mind.

"Upgrade the skill level of 'Elemental Strike'."

He already has a complete ruby.

There's no need to get a second one.

Besides, he does have sources of gemstones.

In the face of an imminent challenge against a formidable opponent.

Improving one's own combat power is the most crucial thing.

[Confirm selection!]

Your "Elemental Strike" skill level has been upgraded to Lv2!

A warm current flowed into Lin You's mind.

It felt like something was quietly growing deep within my consciousness.

He closed his eyes and sensed the changes in his skills.

After upgrading to level 2, the mana cost and additional damage cap of Elemental Strike are increased to 200.

Furthermore, after consuming more than 100 points of magic, it generates an additional explosion damage of a different element.

"The damage cap has been increased significantly, but it also consumes more mana."

Lin You estimated that with his current total magic power of just over four figures...

That means you can only use 5 elemental strike skills with full mana consumption.

Then you have to wait for your magic to slowly recover.

If we could get some consumable items to replenish mana.

Something like a small healing potion would be even better.

Lin You opened her eyes, her gaze sweeping over the runes on the altar's surface that had dimmed again.

"Elon, shall we begin?"

The dwarf nodded, stepped forward, and took a cloth bag from his bosom.

He took out the gold ingot, the gel, and the intact ruby one by one and arranged them neatly in the center of the altar.

After taking a deep breath, the dwarf began to concentrate on forging the slime crown.

There was no clanging sound of a hammer striking metal.

Only the dwarf's rough hands kept turning over.

The gold ingot melted at my fingertips, turning into a flowing liquid that slowly enveloped the ruby.

The whole process was quiet and swift, like some ancient and mysterious ritual.

In less than five minutes, a small golden crown appeared in the center of the altar.

……

【Slime Crown】

[Durability: 10]

[Note: Injecting 100 points of magic power will summon the "Slime King (Level 10, Special Elite)". Each use consumes 1 point of durability.]

……

"It's done."

Elon wiped his sweat, a tired but satisfied smile appearing on his face.

He stepped back two steps, leaving the crown on the altar, and gestured to Lin You.

"It's up to you now."

Lin You stepped forward, bent down to pick up the crown, and found it warm to the touch.

He turned around, his gaze sweeping across the vast subterranean space around him.

After completing the trials of the elemental gods, this inner space lost its special characteristics.

Only an empty altar remained, and the site was still relatively spacious.

"Let's summon the Slime King right here and test its strength."

After sending Elon back to the Gold Rush, Lin You led Yan Ling to an open area.

He placed the slime crown on the ground and then infused it with magic.

The ruby emitted an increasingly bright crimson light, and the crown trembled slightly.

"Splash—"

The ground beneath our feet seemed to have turned into water, rippling in circles.

Lin You took a few steps back to create distance, her eyes fixed on the crown.

"Pop~"

A soft sound, like a bubble bursting.

The crown was quickly lifted up, revealing a swirling mass of translucent gel beneath it.

In less than 5 seconds, a giant slime, three meters tall, appeared in front of Lin You!

Along with it came many ordinary little slimes.

It was hopping and skipping towards Lin You.

[Warning: The Slime King has awakened!]

"They're here!"

Lin You tensed up, summoned the Magic Card Encyclopedia, and conjured an undead legion to form a defensive line.

"Flame Spirit, go deal with the little slime."

"Meow!"

Before the battle officially began, Lin You glanced at the Slime King's attributes.

……

King Slime

[Level: 10 (Special Elite)]

【Life: 2000/2000】

[Defense: 10]

[Skills: Gel Leap, Gel Warp, Ground Slam]

[Weakness: There is a brief period of immobility after the slam or teleportation ends, during which the character cannot move]

……

Without hesitation, Lin You raised his crossbow, which emitted a seven-colored light.

Elemental strike with 200 points of magic power!

The arrow flew out and struck the Slime King's body, simultaneously unleashing ice rings and flames!

[Elemental strike consumes more than 50 mana, triggering "Frost Nova"!]

[Elemental strike consumes more than 100 mana, triggering "Flame Blast"!]

-214!

-95!

-87!

Lin You's blow to the head directly killed nearly one-fifth of the Slime King's life!

But he noticed that King Slime's movements were completely unaffected.

There was no sign of injury or sluggishness.

Moreover, whenever she gets injured, a large amount of gel sheds from her body.

When these gels fall to the ground, they form a batch of small slimes.

"Luckily, I had summoned creatures and Flame Spirits to help hold off these minions."

Lin You sighed silently in her heart.

Just then, King Slime moved.

Its enormous gelatinous body suddenly compressed and then sprang up.

Gel Leap!

The massive, three-meter-tall body arced through the air and crashed straight down towards Lin You's position.

Lin You immediately activated "Spore Charge" and widened the distance laterally.

"boom--!!"

With a loud bang, a crater half a meter deep was smashed into the ground.

Debris and dust flew everywhere, and the shockwave instantly shattered more than a dozen skeleton soldiers in the vicinity!

After landing, the Slime King froze in place, temporarily unable to move.

It's now!

Lin You raised his crossbow and fired an arrow, hitting its body again.

Then came the second arrow, and the third arrow.

Each elemental strike can take away three or four hundred points of health.

However, Lin You's magic power was also severely depleted.

As King Slime recovers from his stun.

He had less than 200 points of magic left.

[King Slime: 565/2000]

"It looks like the rest will have to be worked out slowly."

Lin You kept moving, using her skills and agile movement to create distance between herself and the Slime King.

Every now and then, it would throw out its grappling hook to avoid the Slime King's crushing attack.

Just when Lin You thought he could slowly wear it down,

The Slime King's body suddenly contracted rapidly and vanished from the spot.

"This is... another skill?!"

Lin You's pupils contracted, and she instinctively rolled to one side.

The next second, the Slime King reformed above the spot where he had just been standing, and his massive body crashed down!

—Gel Folding!

After landing from the teleportation, King Slime did not freeze; instead, he bounced up again.

A powerful slam to the ground!

"not good!"

Lin You had no time to dodge and could only grit her teeth and use her remaining magic power to withstand the attack.

boom!!

The shockwave sent him flying, his back slamming heavily against the rock wall, making him see stars.

[Magic Barrier absorbs 90 points of damage]

Current Magic Power: 0

Your magic power is insufficient to maintain the magic barrier.

"Why does it even have combos...?"

Lin You quickly rolled over and got up, shaking her dizzy head.

King Slime's move was indeed unexpected.

However, he also noticed that its body was briefly frozen the moment it landed after being teleported.

"Try it again if you dare!"

As if hearing his words, the Slime King immediately shrank his body again and disappeared into thin air.

This time, Lin You was prepared. He threw out his grappling hook and climbed onto a pillar in the corner of the altar, quickly pulling his body away.

boom!

King Slime fell from the sky, kicking up a cloud of dust, and his massive body stood motionless in the dust.

"A great opportunity!"

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Lin You replaced his crossbow with more powerful Flaming Arrows and fired them wildly!

-42!

-3 (combustion)

-3 (combustion)

-44!

-3 (combustion)

King Slime let out a low, muffled thud, and his body convulsed violently for a few seconds.

Then it went completely limp, turning into a puddle of transparent liquid that slowly spread out on the ground.

In the end, only the slime crown that had been used to summon it remained in the original location.

You have defeated "King Slime (Special Elite)"!

You have gained 2000 experience points (temporarily saved during the advancement quest)
