Chapter 80 The Final Battle Between Demons and Gods
Chapter 80 The Final Battle Between Demons and Gods (Part 2)
A violent explosion erupted in Jubilee's left eye, causing him to howl in pain as he reached out his left hand to cover it. But the awakened Bayonetta leaped out of his left eye first, magically weaving a black, tight-fitting leather suit around her, and landed beside Joan of Arc. Due to the imbalance of power, Jubilee's left eye exploded again, and a massive amount of blood even covered half of Jubilee's body.
"Foolish!" Badr's voice came through Jubilus's lips. "You all...look at what you've done!"
A giant blue sword appeared in Jubilee's left hand, and Baldr controlled it to swing the terrible weapon at Bayonetta and Joan of Arc. As it chopped the floating rocks into pieces, Bayonetta and Joan of Arc jumped up, and the near-zero gravity made them float continuously into space.
Bayonetta attempted an attack, but Jubilee's longsword easily severed the head of Gomorrah she summoned again. She said helplessly, "It seems ordinary pets are no match for me."
"My beloved daughter, Seresa!" Baldr roared, flailing his limbs wildly. "How dare you turn your sword against your own father! I will never forgive you for this!"
"Haven't I already done this before?" Bayonetta replied with a light laugh. "I'll continue to do it."
"Is this the power of God?" Joan of Arc said. "Cesarea, you must fulfill your mission!"
"Of course, but it has to be together," Bayonetta said, "with our secret weapon."
"That suits me perfectly," Joan of Arc replied with a smile.
「TELOC VOVIM A GRAA ORS TABA ORD AVAVAGO」
"EMNA OL ADRPAN ADNA ZNRZA OXEX RACLIR"
As Bayonetta chanted the incantation, she also performed several extremely difficult physical movements. Behind her, from a dark purple magic circle, an endless stream of black hair emerged, far longer than the black hair she had when summoning Gomorrah. Joan of Arc did the same; her white hair intertwined with Bayonetta's black hair, passing through another magic circle. Black and white intertwined, converging to form a female demon, a demon even larger than Jubilee.
She had towering black hair adorned with three rows of white skulls, and a large, oval ruby adorned the center of her forehead, perfectly complementing her red eyes. This was the Queen of Sheba, a demon summoned by the combined powers of Bayonetta and Joan of Arc, or perhaps she was simply categorized as a demon because she dwelled in the abyss. After being summoned, this female demon glanced in Salomon's direction, her gaze seemingly capable of piercing through mirror dimensions.
She's looking at me! That was Salomon's thought; he was quite certain the demon was watching him.
Suddenly, he realized he hated coffee even more.
Soon, the demon refocused her attention on Jubilee. She kissed her fist, swung her arm back, and instantly rushed in front of Jubilee. Her enormous fist pierced Jubilee's abdomen, causing the creator to scream. Then, the demon grabbed Jubilee's hair and hurled her towards the sun.
Salomon couldn't describe what happened next. He only saw a purple beam and a golden beam of light streaking through space at incredible speeds. The aftershocks of their battle constantly impacted the planetary defense system and the mirror dimension. From afar, the Earth's surface was constantly spewing brilliant sparks. Demons and gods clashed, shattering all the floating asteroids. These fragments were pulled towards Earth by gravity. As for the unfortunate satellites that were hit, they all became space debris.
Salomon swallowed hard, but felt a tightness in his throat and couldn't speak. After a long while, he cautiously asked the Sorcerer Supreme, "Master, that demon..."
The Supreme Master said with a half-smile, "That is the Queen of Sheba."
"But I'm not Solomon," Salomon said, feeling quite aggrieved. "She won't mistake me for him, will she? I've never done anything like that. She won't come after me, will she?"
"Who knows?" the Venerable One said. "Anyway, you're already burdened with debts, and you won't be short of one more..."
Salomon cried. Well, not really. He just sullenly hugged the trembling Phoenix and continued watching the battle between the gods and the demons. The battle was quickly decided. Baldr, whose power was out of balance, was no match for the Queen of Sheba summoned by Bayonetta and Joan of Arc, who was far more powerful than Jubilus, who only possessed the power of his "right eye."
"It's not too late to make the world the way it should be, Ceresia!" Badr shouted. "Wake up, my dear daughter!"
"My dear father, you still think about this kind of thing even now?" Bayonetta said. "Mom tried so hard to save your soul."
"What nonsense are you spouting! If we create a new world, everything will be redeemed!"
"What a boring last words. What's so great about creating a new world according to your own will? I still prefer the world as it is now." Bayonetta chanted a spell, summoning a giant wooden horse torture device. A long black whip also appeared in the Queen of Sheba's hand. The Queen of Sheba used the whip to bind Jubilus's ankles and pulled him onto the wooden horse. Then the whip tightly bound him to it. The pain from the saw teeth on the back of the wooden horse made Jubilus unable to help but let out a wail.
Salomon had already covered his eyes—if he fell into the abyss, those demons would surely treat him this way, or even worse.
"Let me end Him." Joan of Arc threw the pistol up, and it passed through the magic circle, appearing in the Queen of Sheba's hand, now entwined with black hair and skulls. "I will infuse it with all my magic."
Bayonetta took the lipstick from her bosom, loaded it into her pistol, and pointed it at Jubilus's right eye. "Now, grant your mother's wish!"
"My daughter, it's this boring world that separated Rosa and me! This world must return to its original state!" The whip marks on Badr's body were clearly visible in his right eye as he shouted, "This world must go back to normal!"
"What a pointless wish. Mom's waiting for you, she's been waiting for a long time." Bayonetta said, pulling the trigger. "Goodbye, Dad."
The lipstick, engraved with "BALDER & ROSA 19.3.1411 With love until the end of time," carried Bayonetta's power and traveled a long distance to accurately strike Baldr, who was located in Jubilus's right eye. The powerful magic even penetrated his skull, and in a daze, he saw his former lover.
"Rosa..."
"Farewell, Last Sage!" The Queen of Sheba's spear, imbued with all of Joan of Arc's magic, shot forth. Accompanied by an unparalleled flash of light, a violent explosion pulverized all surrounding meteorites. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Earth, the sun began to rise. A new day had dawned, and all demons and gods had once again departed from Earth.
The Sorcerer Supreme opened the Eye of Agamotto again and turned his palm toward Earth, restoring the satellites damaged in the battle to their original state. The Sorcerer Supreme valued humanity's technological development; without these satellites, humanity's space industry and communication systems would have to start all over again.
The Venerable One commanded the planetary defense system to shut down its most powerful protection, then slowly withdrew the global mirror dimension, leaving only the platform beneath her and Salomon's feet. Only after she had done this did she reopen the portal, pulling Joan of Arc and Bayonetta, who had been unconscious from the powerful impact, back from space.
"Teacher, I think covering Earth with a mirror dimension would be less effective than just killing Jubilee," Salomon couldn't help but complain. "I always felt that killing Jubilee would be easier."
"We can't kill Him," the Venerable One said. "Only the power of the same origin, the same Chaos God Esir, is Jubilee's weakness. Only in this way can we completely kill Him and prevent His resurrection. But now, I'm sending them back. Do you want to come along? Or do you want to go for a stroll on the moon? But there's nothing fun there."
"All I want to do right now is go back and have a proper meal." Salomon sighed, opening a portal to Bayonetta's New York apartment. "I'll take them back; I still have questions for them. About that demon..."
Five thousand five hundred words is far too long, so I've divided it into two chapters. The next chapter will be about daily life and Thor 1.
