Chapter 41 Left Eye and Right Eye

Agent Coulson quickly located the source of the rumor: the dark-skinned taxi driver.

But in the Venerable One's view, both angels and demons are extradimensional beings, and Kamar-Taj will always profit no matter which of these invaders dies.

But aren't angels God's messengers? Does Heaven still want to interfere in Earth's affairs?

Salomon couldn’t help but doubt his origins, because according to the Venerable One, the visions at the time of his birth were exactly the same as those of the Descent of the Holy Son. Could it be that his appearance here was also the work of Heaven?

The Venerable Master patiently answered Salomon's questions one by one.

The Venerable One said, "Angels are not merely messengers of God, Salomon; they are simply beings from the plane of positive energy, not messengers belonging exclusively to any one deity."

They believed that as long as they obtained the other part of the power, Jubilee would awaken and create a new world—of course, this was just their self-praise, as fanatics always are.

Just take it with a grain of salt; the Eternal God would never agree to such a thing.

As for why they invaded Earth instead of directly attacking the Abyss to seize power, it was entirely because the two most important parts of the Chaos God Eshir's power fell into the human world.

The demon wizard I mentioned to you possessed a portion of power known as the 'Left Eye,' which was the power that gave rise to the part of the demon lord's body, and which the angels wanted to reclaim; while the other portion, known as the 'Right Eye,' was the power that gave rise to the part of Jubilee's body.

According to the Ancient One, those who possess a "left eye" are called Shadow Witches, while those who possess a "right eye" are called Lumen Sages.

Before the Venerable One appeared, these two groups called themselves observers of history, maintaining a balance between each other and observing the world.

But the balance was broken five hundred years ago. Those with the "left eye" colluded with demons to hunt angels, while those with the "right eye" colluded with angels to hunt demons. They were in perpetual war against each other.

But their final battle was so brutal that it lasted for nearly a hundred years, and it ended with the disappearance of the witch with the "left eye".

Even so, after the witch, who had been missing for five hundred years, reappeared, she still carried out her mission with unwavering determination, as did the sage.

Even if the angels or demons who smuggled themselves to Earth were not born from the Chaos God Esir, they are still within their hunting range, which is why the Venerable One can let them go.
