After receiving this answer from Connor, Philo didn't seem surprised. He pointed to himself and said to Connor, "Connor Ferguson, since you're here, you must know that I'm known as the Blood Moon Ruler because the meditation method I practice is the Blood Moon Codex, right?"

"But Connor Ferguson, do you know where this Blood Moon Codex that I practice comes from?" As soon as he finished speaking, Philo stared intently at Connor, as if he wanted to see something in Connor's face.

"However, blood magic is incredibly powerful. In a one-on-one situation, my father was naturally no match for the heir to the Blood Moon Codex. Connor, why don't you guess how my father killed him and obtained the Blood Moon Codex?"

"Someone is working with your father?" After hearing Philo's story, Connor pondered for a moment before offering his guess.

"That's right! The correct answer is that someone colluded with my father! Connor, you're indeed a smart man!" He nodded approvingly at Connor, then changed the subject, emphasizing each word: "And the accomplice who helped my father snatch the Blood Moon Codex from the heir was Connor's mentor, Reyes. This information included the contents of the advanced meditation technique you're currently practicing, 'The Abyss Secret Technique,' Connor Ferguson!"

Listening to Philo's informative narration, Connor became excited. He realized that he would be able to figure out many mysteries he had not yet solved from this guy named Philo!

"You suspect that Reyes is behind your father's disappearance from some mysterious ruin?" Connor asked Philo after a moment's thought.

Faced with Connor's questioning, a cold smile appeared on Philo's handsome face as he said bitterly, "It's not a doubt, I'm certain that my father's failure to emerge from that damned ruin is absolutely related to Reyes!"

"The year after my father disappeared in the ruins, I was frequently hunted down by assassins. If I hadn't been capable of some tricks, I would have died at their hands long ago. I investigated those assassins, and they were all Reyes's men. So, do you think my father's disappearance was orchestrated by this professor from the secret society, Reyes?"

"What does this have to do with me?"

After pondering Philo's explanation for a while, Connor asked Philo, somewhat puzzled:

Connor was never one to easily trust others. Apart from some limited information, Connor didn't know Firo, so he naturally didn't know whether the seemingly secret things Firo told him were true or false.

Of course, even assuming everything Philo is telling him is true, Connor doesn't see what it has to do with him. In Connor's eyes, it's all about his personal grudges with Reyes, and he can't understand why Philo would tell him all this...

"Of course! Because it relates to how Reyes obtained the 'Abyss Arcane Arts'!" Upon hearing the word "ruins" again from Philo's mouth, Connor seemed to realize something. Although he still pretended not to understand, he began to secretly calculate in his heart. Philo had just said that his father had gone to a mysterious ruin with Reyes and had never returned.
