Chapter 844 The Restricted Mechanism of Arshavin's Glasses Shop

With the aid of his black magic robes, Connor moved swiftly like a ghost under the dark moonlight, traversing the road from Baresi Forest to Frosinone.

Robbie was right about one thing: ever since he discovered that Arshavin Opticians was suspicious and held some kind of secret related to alchemy, Connor Ferguson, an alchemist, had been itching to find out what that secret was.

However, compared to killing Robbie, figuring out the secrets of Arshavin Optical Shop was clearly a lower priority for Connor. But now that Robbie was dead, without Robbie's obstruction, Arshavin Optical Shop, although still having some restrictive mechanisms, was no longer an obstacle.

However, for an excellent alchemist like Connor, the Arshavin Optical Shop was like a beautiful woman in a TG suit, irresistible to him. Under such a huge and tempting temptation, Connor's mind stirred again. He felt that there was no time to lose, so he immediately set off for 63 Zanetti Street, where the Arshavin Optical Shop was located, under the cover of moonlight.

Connor moved quickly and arrived at Zanetti Street in no time. At this time, the blood moon was high in the sky and the night was deep and quiet. Zanetti Street was very quiet, with only a few drunken men staggering along the street.

Observing the locked Arsha Optical Shop from a distance, Connor did not rashly sneak in. If Connor remembered correctly, the last time he came to Zanetti Street, before he even entered Robelli's mental detection range, Robelli had already discovered his whereabouts. There was only one explanation for this situation: Robelli had done something shady on Zanetti Street!

Realizing this, Connor's eyes narrowed slightly, and he secretly took out his compass from his spatial ring and began to investigate.

Under Connor's spell, the compass began to work, and the needle gradually began to swing. After checking for about a minute, the needle on the compass pointed steadily to a stone bench on the street of Zanetti, which was a place for passersby to rest and sit.

Following the pointer, Connor's gaze fell upon the stone chair. After a brief examination, Connor discovered the problem. He then took out a coin-like object from his spatial ring and threw it at the stone chair. The coin stuck firmly to the bottom of the chair.

A few seconds later, the compass needle in Connor's hand moved away from the stone chair. Seeing this, Connor realized that the mechanism on the stone chair had failed, so he lowered his guard, appeared in front of Arshavin's Glasses Shop in a flash, unlocked the door, and slipped into the shop.

As Connor entered the shop, his expression gradually turned serious as he looked at the familiar layout. On the surface, the sofas, eyeglasses counters, full-length mirrors, and everything else in the Arshavin Optical Shop were exactly the same as the two times Connor had visited before.

However, Connor's mental power could sense that Arshavin's Glasses Shop had undergone a huge change compared to his previous two visits. This change was not in appearance, but in its internal structure, which meant that the location of the restrictive mechanisms in Arshavin's Glasses Shop had been greatly altered.

"It seems that when I exposed all the traps and restrictions in the shop in front of him last time, it really provoked that old bastard Robelli. That's why he's willing to spend so much money to change the shop's layout. I just wonder if the power of the traps and restrictions has increased after these changes!" Connor thought to himself as he mentally examined everything in the shop.

It took Connor a full fifteen minutes, with the help of various alchemical tools, to reconfirm every restrictive mechanism in the shop. A complex smile, a mixture of relief and bitterness, appeared on his face.

Although Connor had anticipated that Robbie's changes to the restraint mechanisms would enhance their power, the extent of the increase still exceeded his expectations. The restraint mechanisms are now at least twice as powerful as before!

If Connor had been slightly careless, failing to notice the change in the security mechanisms at Arshavin's Glasses Shop and assuming they were the same as before, then his daring entry into the shop's back room and falling into Robbie's trap would have likely resulted in serious injury, though the chances of him dying there were slim. Thinking of this, Connor couldn't help but feel a sense of relief…

Now that the location of the restrictive mechanism has been discovered, the remaining work of breaking and dismantling it, while still very difficult for Connor, is still manageable given his alchemical skills.

Five hours later, as the darkness in Frosinone began to dissipate and the horizon began to lighten, Connor, in Arshavin's optician's shop, wiped the sweat from his brow and looked at the metal Rubik's Cube on the floor with a sense of satisfaction.

Because the control center of the entire store's restrictive mechanisms could not be found, the workload of dismantling and breaking them would be enormous. So, to save trouble, Connor took a shortcut. He changed the operating circuit of the restrictive mechanisms and set up a new control center. In this way, although the restrictive mechanisms still existed, they were under Connor's control. And this metal cube is the new control center of the Arshavin Glasses Store.

Picking up the metal Rubik's Cube, Connor gently turned it. With his control, several restrictive mechanisms, including the one in the eyeglasses shop and the overcoat mirror, were all at his beck and call. Seeing this, a satisfied smile finally appeared on Connor's angular face.

Having solved the problem of the restrictive mechanism, Connor then entered the back room of the shop. Looking around at the messy back room filled with all sorts of things, Connor looked around again, and then turned the Rubik's Cube in his hand again. Suddenly, in the corner of the back room, the large iron box containing glass pieces of various degrees and styles cracked open, revealing a dark hole that could only be passed through by one person at a time.

Upon seeing the entrance to the cave, Connor, realizing he was finally about to uncover the secret of Arshavin's Glasses Shop, was undoubtedly very excited. However, for safety's sake, Connor calmed himself down and did not immediately enter the cave. Instead, he tried to use his mental power to penetrate inside and explore what was below the entrance!
