Chapter 824 The Deal with Rob and Ribery

Frosinone, Via Zanetti, No. 63, Arshavin Optical Shop.

As the sun set in the evening, Robelli, a portly old man in a white lab coat, sat leisurely on the sofa in his own optician's shop, sipping a clear beer while browsing the latest edition of the *Flosinone Evening News*, which had been delivered twenty minutes earlier.

After carefully browsing through the fourteen-page newspaper, Robbie finally focused his attention on the announcements section. He shook his head and muttered to himself:

"Anthony Trading Company was officially established so quickly? It seems the negotiations between the Secret Society and the Boateng family are nearing completion. I didn't expect those ill-mannered Boateng family members to actually give the Secret Society something to hold against them, making them make such a big concession."

"Now that the Secret Society and the Boateng family have reached an agreement, the Secret Society's work should be over, right? That damned Isabella still owes me ten Cardiff mutated magic herbs..."

At this point, Robbie seemed to sense something and suddenly stopped talking. A sharp glint flashed in his small eyes, which were nestled between the fat folds of his face. He stood up from the sofa without making a sound and lightly tapped the full-length mirror opposite the glasses cabinet.

As Robbie moved, the full-length mirror, about 1.8 meters long and half a meter wide, quickly displayed everything within a 500-meter radius of the Arshavin Optical Shop.

After searching for three seconds in the image reflected in the full-length mirror, Robbie's focus shifted to a blond middle-aged man, about 300 meters in front of his optician's shop, who was getting off a rickshaw, wearing a trench coat, sunglasses, and leaning on a cane.

After frowning and observing the middle-aged man's appearance for a while, Robelli's eyes revealed a hint of disbelief as he muttered to himself, "He actually dared to come here?"

Just then, the blond middle-aged man with a cane in Robbie's scene also noticed Robbie's spying in the eyeglasses shop, looked up and gave Arshavin's eyeglasses shop a very bright smile.

Having recognized the other person, Robelli seemed to understand that he was an alchemist and that his petty tricks wouldn't fool him. He snorted coldly and then sat back down on the sofa in the center of the glasses shop, waiting for the other person to appear.

Robbie didn't have to wait long. A dozen seconds later, a middle-aged man wearing a trench coat, sunglasses, and a cane walked into Arshavin's eyewear store without knocking.

Robbie stared intently at the smiling, blond middle-aged man in front of him, and said coldly and without any politeness, "Connor Ferguson, you have more guts than I thought, daring to come looking for me. Aren't you really afraid I'll kill you?"

Seeing that Rob and Ribery had immediately recognized his true identity, Connor Ferguson wasn't surprised. He simply smiled and shrugged, then, in front of Rob and Ribery, removed his mask as a blond middle-aged man, revealing his true face. He then sat down on the sofa opposite Rob and Ribery and said to him very sincerely, "Mr. Rob and Ribery, I believe you wouldn't do that, and besides, you can't do it."

No sooner had Connor finished speaking than a mocking smile appeared on Robbie's chubby face as he sneered at Connor, "It's only been a little over a month, Connor Ferguson, have you forgotten how you escaped from me like a rat?"

Robbie's taunts didn't anger Connor. Instead, a smile appeared on Connor's angular face. He shook his head at Robbie and said, "You became a Level One wizard decades before me. I hadn't even started training yet and you were already a Level One wizard. If you still can't beat me, then Mr. Robbie, haven't you wasted all these decades of your life?"

"snort!"

Compared to Connor's composure, Robbie's demeanor was clearly lacking. Having been rebuffed by Connor, he immediately let out a cold snort in exasperation. Then, a powerful aura emanated from his portly body, instantly creating an invisible pressure on Connor.

Robbie knew that Connor Ferguson wouldn't come here without a reason, and that he must have something to discuss. Although he didn't know what Connor Ferguson's purpose was, Robbie felt that whatever Connor's purpose was, he had to give Connor a warning and intimidate him first, which would make it easier for the two of them to talk things over later.

Although Rob and Ribery had a grand plan in mind, unfortunately, he used the wrong opponent and miscalculated. Facing the pressure Rob and Ribery exerted on him, Connor's smile remained unchanged, treating Rob and Ribery's pressure as nothing, and looking at Rob and Ribery with a smile.

Seeing that his pressure had no effect on Connor, Robbie hesitated slightly. He had fought Connor in the Baresi Forest outside Frosinone City just over a month ago. Although Connor was quite strong, he had only recently broken through to become a Level 1 Wizard and was far weaker than Robbie. Although Robbie escaped unscathed, he was beaten so badly that he had to run away with his tail between his legs.

Knowing his strength surpassed Connor's, Robbie was confident he could use this tactic to intimidate Connor. However, judging from the current situation, he seems to have miscalculated...

Unwilling to accept defeat, Robbie gritted his teeth and increased the aura he exerted on Connor to the maximum. However, to his disappointment, his efforts were in vain. No matter how much he increased the aura, the smile on Connor's face remained unchanged.

Robbie, deeply affected, could no longer sustain such a high-intensity, continuous output. Despite being extremely unwilling, he still took the initiative to withdraw the aura he had placed on Connor.

Sensing that Robbie had withdrawn his aura, Connor, whose back was already soaked with cold sweat, secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Although he pretended to be nonchalant, he was actually on the verge of defeat. If Robbie had withdrawn his aura a few seconds later, Connor would have had no choice but to attack Robbie directly to break the stalemate.

This round of confrontation lasted nearly a minute. Although neither Connor nor Robbie directly struck the other, this invisible confrontation was quite taxing on both sides. They tacitly remained silent and quietly recovered.
