Connor had considered Varga and Mary's background, and guessed that the old woman and the young girl might be hiding from enemies. However, what he never expected was that Varga and Mary's grandmother were connected to the Earth God Cult, another major church in the Empire. This, however, explained why Varga's medical skills were so high, allowing her to create enchanting potions at such a young age—after all, the Earth God Cult represented the highest level of potion development in the Empire!

After pondering the meaning behind Reyes's words, Connor tentatively asked, "Mentor, are you also interested in that potion formula?"

"No, no, no! I'm interested in Varga, this potion-making genius. As for that potion recipe, what good could it possibly be from a family that doesn't even have a formal wizard?"

"Even without sufficient raw materials to practice with, this little girl, Varga, has successfully concocted various enchanted potions. I believe that with the resources and support of our secret society, Varga's future will be limitless!" Reyes said meaningfully.

"Mentor, what do you need me to do?" Connor's gaze sharpened, and he lowered his head and said in a deep voice: He should have thought of this long ago. At Green University, right under Reyes's nose, Joseph, the informant of the Church of Storms, would be discovered by Reyes. So how could Reyes not discover Varga, the junior apprentice?

"No rush, no rush, the time isn't right yet. Old Victor is already watching over there. If Varga and her grandmother are discovered, Old Victor will warn them in advance!" Reyes waved his hand, then took out another notebook from the drawer, tore off a page of white paper, and handed it to Connor.

"This is a transponder notebook, an alchemical artifact from the Byzantine era, that I've restored. Based on my estimation, as long as Connor returns to you in Rune, I'll write a message in the notebook and send it to you. The next second, Connor, you'll see it on this page. I'll use this to transmit messages to you; just act according to the instructions!"

Upon hearing Reyes's description, Connor's eyes lit up with surprise. He carefully examined the communication paper he had received from Reyes. The paper was smooth and soft, and on the surface, it looked no different from ordinary notebook paper.

"You don't need to treat this telepathic notepad specially. Folding it and writing on it are all fine. The only downside is that, according to rumors, this telepathic notepad has no limit on the number of uses, but the one I restored will automatically become unusable after receiving three messages from the notebook!" Reyes shook his head and said regretfully.

"Alright, alright, I've told you everything I need to. I have some things to take care of. Go to whichever secret room you prefer and pick out a few books on mysticism that interest you. I reckon you've already finished reading the books I gave you last time!" Reyes waved his hand slightly, and a bookshelf in his study transformed into a portal of light.

"Remember! Don't be greedy and overeat..." After saying that, Reyes put on a dark gray coat, put on his top hat, picked up the briefcase that Connor had given him, and walked out of the study with a faint smile on his face.

"Take care, mentor!" Connor bowed slightly as he saw Reye off.

After Reyes disappeared down the stairs, Connor looked up and scanned the entire study. Then his gaze settled on the portal Reyes had opened for him. After hesitating for a moment, Connor stepped into the portal.

Stepping out of the portal, Connor found himself in a spacious and bright room with four or five large bookshelves filled with thick books.

"An Introduction to Spiritual Wizarding," "On Constructing Magic Reversion Runes," "A Detailed Explanation of Dark Energy Manipulation"... Connor's eyes gleamed with excitement as he scanned the titles of these books on the bookshelf. In the wizarding world, the most valuable thing is knowledge, and the room Connor was in was undoubtedly a treasure trove full of riches!

"Chip! Activate analysis and recording mode. We're going to pull off a big heist today..." Connor silently commanded the chip in his mind. His voice trembled slightly with excitement.

"Beep! In accordance with the will of the subject, analysis and recording mode has been activated..." The cool female voice of the auxiliary chip rang in Connor's mind.

While Connor was busy excitedly using the auxiliary chip to record books in the secret room Reyes had opened for him, Professor Reyes, dressed neatly, appeared at the prestigious Allianz Opera House in the East District of Rune.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the classic opera 'Romeo and Juliet,' composed by Raoul the Great, will officially begin in ten minutes. Please take your seats immediately. Thank you!" To ensure everyone could hear, the opera house loudspeakers broadcast the announcement three times.

Reyes pulled his movie ticket from his pocket, glanced at it, and leisurely walked to his seat, placing his briefcase beside him.

As the ticket holders took their places, the gaslights hanging high above the opera house dimmed, and the stage lights shone brightly in their place, marking the official start of the opera "Romeo and Juliet"!

Romeo: "What light is that coming from that window? That's the east, and Juliet is the sun!..."

···········

Juliet: "Only your name is my enemy. Even if you weren't Montague, you would still be the same person you are..."

···········

Just as the musical reached its middle, and some of the more sentimental ladies in the theater were quietly sobbing, moved by this classic love story, Reyes received a voice transmission filled with apology: "Professor! I'm so sorry I'm late!"

Upon hearing this telepathic message, Reyes, who was engrossed in watching the opera, remained completely unfazed and calmly replied telepathically, "There won't be a next time!"

"Yes, Professor! The Church's Punisher Abidal has arrived in Rune. He has instructed us to report immediately once we find any information about the Secret Society! Professor, what should I do next?" the voice continued, pausing noticeably when mentioning Abidal's name.
