Upon hearing George's words, Connor instantly understood the whole story. It was likely that George and his mother, Lady Christine, had tried to seize Hope Harbor, which was managed by his uncle Elkann, but were met with a joint counterattack from Elkann and Olson.

Although George's uncle, Elkan Connor, had never met him, he had heard of the man's reputation. Elkan was the second most important person in the Sanchez family after George's father, Mr. Harvey. He was known in Loen for his resourcefulness and was also called "Silver Fox" Elkan because of his silver-white hair.

"George, you have to pick on the weak. Why would you want to mess with your uncle's silver fox?" Connor said, picking up an apple from the fruit bowl on the table and eating it as he spoke.

"Sigh... It's a long story!" Shaking his head, George tilted his head back and slowly drank another glass of red wine.

Seeing that George was unwilling to elaborate on the matter, Connor didn't press further. He took a large bite of his apple and continued, "What are you planning to do next? You're not just going to give up, are you?"

"Given the current situation, we have to accept our fate. I, Temo, can't touch that old bastard Elkan right now, but that beast Olsen, I'll teach him a lesson!" George said through gritted teeth, his fingers gripping his wine glass tightly.

Nodding, Connor finished his apple and asked thoughtfully, "George, if you were that Olson guy, what would you do after he cleverly set up such a trap for you? How would you maximize your own interests?"

"What else can we do? Just watch me make a fool of myself?" George instinctively replied upon hearing Connor's words, but as soon as he spoke, he realized that Connor seemed to have a hidden meaning in his words. He frowned and asked, "Connor, what do you mean by that? Does Olson have some kind of next move planned?"

"The goods intended for Director Ranieri went missing from your hands, George. You're undoubtedly to blame and will lose face at the family meeting. Now, someone else has replaced the missing goods, making up for your mistake. What will happen then?" Connor said calmly, his eyes gleaming.

George Teng immediately stood up from the sofa, his face serious, and said to Connor, "Connor, you mean that batch of goods is still in Olson's or Elkan's hands?"

"No, no, no! If things really develop the way I think, then it's definitely not one shipment. If it were one shipment, then they'd be incredibly stupid. It must be something they ordered separately from the Bernabéu. I reckon this shipment is currently in Olsen's hands. That old fox, Elkann, would never let that shipment get his hands dirty!" Connor calmly analyzed.

After listening to Connor's analysis, George looked grave and paced back and forth in the private room, as if pondering the possibility of Connor's analysis.

After a while, a look of excitement appeared on George's face. The more he thought about it, the more he felt that Connor made sense.

"Connor, I'm so glad you're my friend!" George exclaimed, giving Connor a thumbs-up.

"George, even if Olson has the goods, don't get too excited. You still don't know where he's hidden them!" Connor calmly reminded him.

"Heh heh, as long as Olsen has the goods, things will be much easier. I thought Olsen would just sell them off, but it seems I underestimated that kid!" George rubbed his hands together, speaking in a sinister tone.

Feeling he had done his duty as a friend, Connor didn't say anything more. After all, this was George's family matter, and it wouldn't be good for him to get too involved.

"Alright, handle your own business. I'm leaving now. Remember to be thorough and don't leave any traces!" Connor said with a half-smile, standing up from the sofa.

"Don't worry!" George was also a rather ambitious person. Hearing that there was a solution to his worries, he had no desire to continue his debauchery here.

After saying goodbye to George and leaving Verona Club, Connor waited for ten minutes but no public carriage came back to his apartment. So he decided to give up and walk back. After all, it was in the East District, and it would only take about twenty minutes to walk back.

Strolling leisurely along the clean and tidy streets of East Ruen, enjoying the breeze of this port city, Connor's gloom vanished with the wind.

"Martial law! Martial law! We are Imperial Police, you lot better hand over your identification right now...!"

"Shut up!"

Just as Connor was enjoying a rare moment of peace in his life, a group of uninvited guests barged into the street. A mid-level police officer in a black uniform, leading a group of heavily armed military police, blocked off the street and menacingly ordered the gentlemen and ladies walking along. However, he was interrupted by a supervisor in his forties with a slight receding hairline.

"Officer Sterling, I'll repeat myself again, this is the East District, not the South District where you used to work, do you understand? Everyone living here might have connections, so you have to be careful in your actions and words!" The Mediterranean Inspector lowered his voice with a helpless expression and instructed the mid-level officer he called Officer Sterling.

"Oh dear! I forgot, I forgot! I'm so sorry, Inspector Rhodes, thank goodness you reminded me!" Officer Sterling immediately realized his mistake and thanked the Mediterranean inspector with a look of lingering fear.

Seeing that Officer Sterling realized the seriousness of the situation, Inspector Rhodes patted him heavily on the shoulder, then walked into the street and said loudly:

"Good day, esteemed citizens of the Empire!"

"As you can see, we are Imperial Police. I am Inspector Rodri of the Rune Police Department. This is my identification!" After saying this, Inspector Rodri took out his identification from his pocket and showed it to the crowd blocked in the street.

After displaying his identification to everyone, Inspector Rhodes carefully put his own away and continued, "We are here, so please, citizens, do not panic or worry unnecessarily. There has simply been an unexpected situation. And please trust that the Imperial Police are capable and confident in guaranteeing your safety!"

"Please proceed in an orderly fashion and show your identification to our military police. Thank you for your cooperation. Long live the Empire!"

"Long live the Empire!" The pedestrians on the street were clearly more pleased with Inspector Rodri's politeness and responded to his call.

"Inspector Rodri, it's been a long time. You've become even more composed and experienced!" Just as Inspector Rodri was watching with satisfaction as the pedestrians were being checked by the military police in an orderly manner, a tall young man in a black robe appeared before him with a big smile on his face.
