"Margaret, you must have known long ago that the Ferguson family is hiding a Celtic treasure, right? Margaret's words startled Connor. A few seconds later, Connor frowned and said, somewhat puzzled, "Didn't we agree on a month? Why are you still being so provocative..." At this point, Connor suddenly remembered that Margaret might not know about the relationship between Edel and the Secret Society, and for a moment he didn't know what to say.

"Are you trying to provoke old Victor into attacking me?"

"Connor, my mission in staying in Rune is to destroy everything the Secret Society has in Rune!" Turning to Connor, Margaret said softly. Although her voice was gentle, her words were filled with a bloodthirsty undertone.

"So you're going to gamble your life to find evidence of Edel's connection to the secret society?" Connor's eyes narrowed immediately upon hearing Margaret's mission, a playful smile appearing on his face as he said with a hint of sarcasm:

Connor's sarcasm did not anger Margaret at all; she nodded slightly, acknowledging Connor's thoughts.

Margaret's nod ignited a sudden surge of anger in Connor. He walked to her side, roughly grabbed her wrist, and said coldly, "Margaret, I have no objection to your desire to find Edel's connection to the Secret Society, but I absolutely disagree. You're gambling with your life. Have you even met Old Victor? Do you know how powerful he is? And let me tell you, I don't know exactly how much power Old Victor controls within the Secret Society in Rune. That's why I've kept delaying the time to kill Old Victor!"

Having just yelled at Varga, Connor hadn't even had a chance to catch his breath when his expression suddenly changed. He hurriedly took out a compass from his spatial ring to check it. At this moment, on the compass's display, the light spot representing the small bronze mirror was getting closer and closer to him, though he didn't know when it had started.

"What happened?" Seeing Connor's changing expression, Margaret, though unable to understand the meaning of the flashing lights on the compass in Connor's hand, clearly realized that something big must have happened!

"Wanda and Palin are heading this way. They're moving fast; they should be on Rand Street by now!" Connor said in a deep voice, his face dark. His tone was tinged with annoyance and self-reproach. His argument with Margaret had made him lose control of his emotions, preventing him from noticing Palin and Wanda's change in location immediately. Now, by the time he realized it, it was already too late.

"Margaret, listen to me, they're very fast. It's not realistic for the two of us to slip away unnoticed. Your identity can't be exposed. I'll go distract them now, and you stay here and slip away while they're at it!" After a quick thought, Connor abandoned his plan to escape alone and carefully instructed Margaret:
