Chapter 502 Margaret's Good News and Bad News

"He'll likely ask you to come see him in about a month, so be prepared!"

Looking at the mere twenty words on the letter, Connor, who was leaning back on the sofa in his apartment, smiled faintly. A black flame ignited on his finger, and he burned the letter to ashes before sending it down the drain.

Although the letter was unsigned and unfinished, Connor knew perfectly well that it was a letter from Martina to him, and the "he" mentioned in the letter undoubtedly referred to that old bastard Victor.

"I have good news and bad news. Connor, which do you want to hear first?" Connor's premonition seemed to be off. Compared to Connor's nervousness, Margaret, although uncharacteristically, was very normal in both words and expression, and even had a hint of joy.

"Bad news!" Seeing Margaret's expression, Connor's tension eased somewhat. After a moment's thought, Connor said to Margaret, "I personally prefer to suffer first and then enjoy the reward."
