Chapter 482 A Villa Made of Alchemy Bombs

Chapter 482 The Villa Made of Alchemy Bombs (2)

"Alchemy bomb!"

As the pungent smell emanating from the red bricks reached Connor's nose, those four words instinctively surfaced in his mind. This discovery immediately struck Connor as utterly horrifying, causing even the battle-hardened Connor to feel a slight dizziness.

Although the pungent smell was very faint, Connor, who was an expert in alchemical bomb making, immediately recognized it as the smell that only appeared when a certain alchemical bomb was burning. Connor was absolutely certain of this and there was no mistake!

This astonishing discovery immediately made Connor scan the room he was in. Then, a horrifying idea popped into his mind, and the moment it appeared, a cold sweat broke out on Connor's back. A bone-chilling cold rushed from Connor's spine to his head. Without any hesitation, Connor decisively extinguished the black flames in his hand.

Wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, Connor gave a bitter smile and glanced around at the walls. If he wasn't mistaken, he and Martina downstairs had just narrowly escaped death, almost getting blown to bits!

Once he regained his composure, Connor knocked on the walls around him, then took a deep breath and walked out of his room towards Martina's room. Unlike Martina, who had the patience to knock first, Connor simply pushed open Martina's door and went inside.

Martina, sitting cross-legged on the cement shop floor, seemed to have anticipated Connor's arrival. Her eyes showed no surprise. She calmly addressed Connor, saying, "Connor, you're a smart man. You haven't found anything here, and neither have I. Don't cause trouble for either of us."

Reaching Martina, Connor sneered, "Martina, you're a fucking lunatic! Do you know how dangerous this place is? Even the slightest energy fluctuation here will send you and me flying..."

"Enough! Stop talking! Do you think I wanted to come here? It's all your fault!" Martina interrupted Connor sharply before he could finish speaking.

"I caused it? Martina, what do you mean?" Connor asked, frowning. He was genuinely confused by Martina's words. Martina had brought him to this villa built with alchemical bombs, so how could it be because he was the one who caused it?

"I..." Upon hearing Connor's question, Margaret immediately wanted to retort, but ultimately she didn't say what she wanted to say, swallowing her words back. Then, she reorganized her thoughts and looked at Connor, saying, "Connor, you're an expert in crafting alchemical bombs, why don't you observe carefully before you speak? The alchemical bombs in this villa are specially made. Unless detonated using a specific method, they're no different from ordinary bricks. Moreover, for safety's sake, this villa has a special protective array, so..."

"So, as long as old Victor doesn't detonate it, this place won't explode?" Connor sneered sarcastically.

"You, Connor, are far more skilled than I am at making alchemical bombs. You should know very well how many resources it takes to make so many alchemical bombs, and how much the Secret Society will pay for storing so many alchemical bombs here. And if Butler Victor wanted to kill you, he has countless clean ways to kill you without leaving a trace. It's not worth risking this precious villa. Forgive my bluntness, Mr. Connor Ferguson, but your value to the Secret Society may not be as great as this villa!" Martina's words were very harsh, and her tone was full of sarcasm.

Connor didn't seem angry at Martina's sarcasm. He shrugged slightly and said nonchalantly, "I am afraid of death, but if I could die with a beautiful lady like Martina by my side, that wouldn't be a bad choice!"

After saying this, Connor ignored Martina and turned to leave her room, returning to his own room on the second floor of the villa. The first thing Connor did upon returning to his room was to break off another red brick fragment, twice the size of the previous one, from the wall. Then, he took out two glass beakers from his spatial ring; one was red, and the other was a vibrant blue.

The red brick fragments that were just removed from the wall were divided into two pieces and crushed into powder. The powder was then placed into two beakers. Then a magical scene occurred: the red brick powder placed in the red beaker spontaneously combusted, while the red brick powder placed in the blue beaker did not change at all.

The experimental results secretly relieved Connor. After thinking for a moment, Connor took out a crudely made, antique-style silver compass from his spatial ring. He then cast a spell on the compass, and the light on the compass flickered for a while. After a few minutes, the light on the compass stopped flickering, and a red six-pointed star pattern appeared on the compass.

The appearance of the red six-pointed star reduced Connor's worries by ninety percent. Martina hadn't lied to him; the "red brick" alchemical bombs that made up the villa seemed to only be detonated in a specific way. Other methods, like violent energy fluctuations, wouldn't affect the red bricks at all. Moreover, just as Martina had said, this villa made of "red brick" alchemical bombs also had a protective magic circle to safeguard its safety. Judging from the brightness of the red six-pointed star on the compass, the power of this protective magic circle was indeed very strong. Even an alchemist like Connor, who had a deep understanding of formations, might not be able to break this magic circle, and even if he did, it would inevitably take a very long time.

Completely relieved, Connor still stuck a small silver stick into the wall so that he would receive the notification immediately if the "Red Brick" alchemical bomb changed in any way. After doing all this, Connor sat cross-legged on the cement floor of the room, waiting for the "third person" who had been surveying the environment to return.

Three hours later, as the moon replaced the sun and rose into the clouds, plunging the earth into darkness, Connor, who was in a room on the second floor of the villa, opened his eyes. Ten seconds after Connor opened his eyes, the villa door was gently pushed open, and a figure silently entered the villa.
