Chapter 3 Miss Rebecca

After sizing up the middle-aged man, Ayman, who called himself "Manager," Connor took out a dark green banknote with the portrait of Raul II from his wallet and handed it over.

"Ten gold pounds, I want the entire venue to myself for an hour from now on!" Connor said calmly.

Connor nodded solemnly, indicating that he was not joking.

At the very bottom of this monetary pyramid is the penny, which, despite being the lowest tier, is the most widely used currency among the people of Kaman.

As the highest-ranking currency unit in the Kaman Empire, the gold pound has considerable purchasing power. In Connor's calculations, one gold pound is roughly equivalent to three thousand RMB, and the twenty gold pounds he paid are equivalent to sixty thousand RMB. A restaurant like Clover, after deducting rent, employee salaries, and various other costs, might not even earn enough to make a net profit of twenty gold pounds in two or three days. Now, Connor's request is simply to book the restaurant for one hour outside of mealtimes. Such a windfall is something that any restaurant manager, unless they are an idiot, would certainly not refuse.

Five minutes later, the only two tables of customers in the restaurant finished their meals after Ayman apologized and offered to waive their bills. Suddenly, the huge restaurant, which could accommodate hundreds of people at the same time, was empty except for the staff and Connor.

Unless I ask you to, don't come near here. I'll leave on my own in an hour." With that, Connor handed Ayman two ten-pound notes.

The woman was also exceptionally beautiful, with a tall, slender figure, fair and smooth skin, a round oval face, slightly wavy blonde hair, and captivating, ruby-like eyes. All of these combined to make Connor, who had seen countless beauties online, have to admit that this young woman's charm was irresistible to any man.

Connor narrowed his eyes as he carefully examined the woman in the scene. Without a doubt, this woman was Miss Rebecca, and the last person Connor could remember seeing.
