"It's not as serious as you think!" Elena shook her head and continued explaining, addressing Margaret's question:

Margaret's biggest backer in the Church of Storms—Cardinal Elena—is one of the candidates for the next Pope of the Church of Storms. In fact, one could say she is second only to Hummels, the big boss, as the most likely candidate to become the next Pope.

Therefore, as a confidante who shared Elena's fate, Margaret naturally did not want Hummels' plan to succeed.
