Douluo Continent: My Martial Soul is the Mysterious Heavy Ruler

Chapter 13 The Auction (Part Two)

Seeing Xiao Yi walk straight towards them, one of the four girls stepped forward three paces and bowed slightly, saying, "Sir, is there anything I can help you with?"

Xiao Yi said, "This is an auction house, right? I heard there's a grand auction today."

The young woman was somewhat taken aback. Although she didn't look down on Xiao Yi because of his age, she had never seen guests like the two of them before. Nevertheless, she patiently asked, "Excuse me, sirs, could you please tell me if you have the necessary bidding credentials?"

Xiao Yi was taken aback. "Bidding qualification certification? What's that?"

The young woman smiled slightly and said, "Only guests with bidding qualification certification can enter the auction house to participate in the bidding. The qualification certification is divided into several different levels, with the entry threshold being 10,000 gold soul coins. In other words, you need proof of assets of 10,000 gold soul coins to participate in the bidding. This is a necessary measure to prevent malicious bidding, please forgive me, young master."

After listening, Xiao Yi took out a black card with a balance of 100,000 from his soul tool. Because Xiao Yi felt that it was too troublesome to carry all the cash, he went to the bank today after buying the house and exchanged all the cash for cards.

When the girl saw Xiao Yi casually take out a black card with 100,000 gold coins, she knew that Xiao Yi was quite wealthy. She quickly made a gesture of invitation, "Young master, please follow me." As she spoke, she took small steps toward the auction house.

Stepping into the auction hall, he wasn't struck by its opulent grandeur. The floor was made of milky-white marble, and the walls were adorned with various reliefs. The reliefs were sparsely colored, creating a simple, clean, and elegant effect. Besides the reliefs, there were also display cases built into the walls, containing items such as porcelain and armor. If he didn't know the purpose of this place, Xiao Yi might have mistaken it for a museum.

The young woman leading the way was very professional; she would stop every ten steps or so, make a gesture of invitation, and accurately point out the direction. She led Xiao Yi to the lobby and then headed towards the front desk.

I don't know if the owner of this auction house has a fondness for circles, but all the entrances inside the auction house are semi-circular, which does give it a sense of unity.

After a brief observation, Xiao Yi couldn't help but admire the auction house. Not only was it large in scale, but everything was also well-organized and the division of labor was clear.

Entering the hall, the young woman explained to Xiao Yi: "Our auctions run 24 hours a day, all within the auction center. Tonight, there will be a particularly grand auction, starting in about half an hour. Please follow me, young master. I'll take you to complete the formalities first."

The procedure is not complicated; it simply involves setting up an account at the auction house that is linked to the Gold Soul Coin stored-value card.

Through this account, Xiao Yi can both receive the proceeds from future item auctions after deducting handling fees and participate in bidding. The condition is that the amount bid cannot exceed the balance in the account.

At the same time, the young girl who was there also briefly explained the rules to Xiao Yi.

As the largest auction house in the entire Heaven Dou Empire, any item could potentially be auctioned here.

The first rule of auction houses is that you must not inquire about the seller's background. Furthermore, you must not disclose information about the items being auctioned.

The auction runs 24/7 with no breaks.

Every night is the time for the premium auction. During those two hours, only buyers with a deposit of over one million Gold Soul Coins can participate. At other times, any bidder can participate.

The rules were simple, but Xiao Yi could see that the continuous auctions brought enormous profits to the auction house. A 10% commission on a precious auction item might not seem like much from one perspective, but in reality, it accumulated into a terrifying fortune.

It could even generate far greater profits than a large arena.

"Please take us to the auction house."

Led by the girl, Xiao Yi finally got his wish and entered the true core of the Heaven Dou Auction House.

The auction center was located on the second floor of the auction house. There were eight staircases leading up from the lobby. Before entering the auction house, the receptionist gave Xiao Yi a mask, informing them that they would need to wear masks to enter future auctions for their safety. Next time, no one would be there to greet them.

The girl escorted Xiao Yi to the entrance of the auction center before turning to leave; there were other staff members at the auction center.

Compared to the girl who had guided him before, the waiters here made Xiao Yi feel somewhat uncomfortable.

The outfit is still white, and it's still a skirt, but the feeling it gives is completely different.

The auction center's staff were all women, and their height was similar to the girl who had led the way before, but their figures were much more voluptuous.

Their white dresses, with their wide-open necklines and sleeveless design, featured short hems that barely reached seven inches past their waists, revealing their slender, supple thighs. Paired with white high heels, they were incredibly alluring. The deep cleavage of their breasts and the rounded buttocks beneath their short skirts were enough to fuel any fantasies.

Despite his resolute will, Xiao Yi couldn't help feeling somewhat uneasy. After all, he was also a normal man.

The auction center felt more like a large auditorium, with a layout similar to the main battle center of the Great Battle Arena. In the center of the hall was a circular stage, surrounded by concentric circles of seats.

It was divided into five main sections. The three rows of seats closest to the stage were red, radiating outwards, while the remaining seats were black, purple, yellow, and white. This was clearly arranged according to different levels of bidders.

The receptionist had told them that the innermost red seats were accessed through a special passage and protected by dedicated security personnel. That was the so-called million-dollar VIP area, and only people of high status and position could obtain red VIP status.

The black seats surrounding the perimeter are the standard million-dollar VIP area; anyone with money can enter.

It belongs to the next level of black VIPs.

Further out, the purple area is for 500,000-level purple VIPs, the yellow seats are for 100,000-level ordinary VIPs, and the outermost white seats, which are also the largest seats, are for ordinary people who only have tens of thousands of gold soul coins. Of course, it is also possible that a big shot is disguised in the white area.

The waiter led the two to the yellow area, indicating that Xiao Yi could choose freely. It was unclear whether this was because Xiao Yi looked too young, or for some other reason.

The waiter wasn't enthusiastic; he simply led him to his seat in a very professional manner, without even the professional smile he had shown when he greeted the young woman earlier.

Xiao Yi didn't care, since he wasn't there to see the girl, and then he just found a place to sit down.

Each seat has an auction list detailing the items to be auctioned.
