Outside Magnolia town, in the eastern forest.

Makarov led Mira and Hughes through thickets of trees, heading deeper into the forest, explaining things to Mira as they went.

"Deep in the forest to the east, lives an old friend of mine. Don't underestimate her; her medical skills are superb!"

Back when we traveled the mainland together, I was saved from death several times thanks to her medical skills.

"Don't worry, Hughes's problem is a small matter for her."

Mira looked around. Along the way they had come, the roars and cries of beasts filled the air, and they could even vaguely make out some enormous figures. She couldn't help but ask, "Guild Master, isn't it dangerous for her to live deep in the forest?"

"Haha, Polyusicaa isn't afraid of these things. Although she's not a mage, she's skilled in both medicine and poison. None of these wild beasts and magical creatures that came from the mountains dare to approach her or provoke her."

Makarov spoke with extreme pride, as if he were Polyushika himself.

Mira had the same question before, even though Polyusica had shown him a few tricks.

But he always felt that the reason why the wild beasts and monsters in the eastern forest feared her was not so simple.

But now, who cares? I've gotten used to it over the decades.

"However, you can't come here on your own. There are some magical beasts here that you can't handle."

"Especially those forest Vulcans, they love children!" Makarov said earnestly. He had driven away the monsters and wild beasts in the eastern forest many times, but they would come back after a few days, and there was no way to control them.

All we can do is tell the guild members and town residents to avoid coming here.

When Mira heard that there was also a forest called Vulcan, her eyes blinked and her ears perked up like a little rabbit's.

She also told Makarov about the things she had encountered on her way to the guild.

"Ah? Luckily you're all alright. Hughes is quite capable!" Makarov praised Hughes, deciding that once they returned, he would have the guild clear out the eastern forest.

He especially didn't want to see such monsters appear in the forests of the East again.

The two walked and talked, and soon a wooden house appeared in the open plain.

Makarov suddenly realized something and slapped his forehead; he had almost forgotten something important:

"By the way, Polyusica doesn't like humans. Just call her 'Grandma' when you see her. She's soft-hearted but stubborn, and that's just how she is. She doesn't really hate humans."

In front of the cabin, Makarov knocked lightly on the wooden door and waited for a while, but no one answered.

"That shouldn't be the case; Porlyusica should be at home at this time."

"Forget it, let's go inside and wait for her. I guess Polyusica went into the forest to gather herbs."

As an old acquaintance of decades, Makarov was extremely familiar with Polyusika's house. In the past, he would just push the door open and walk in. This time, he was only so polite because Mira was following behind him.

"Crunch!"

The wooden door was pushed open, and Makarov entered first. He looked up and saw Polyusika busy at the apothecary.

She couldn't help but complain, "You were home the whole time, and you didn't even open the door for me!"

"Don't bother me, this reagent will be ready soon!"

The stern rebuke startled Mira, causing her to quickly swallow back the greeting that was about to slip out.

When Makarov returned after leaving Hughes on the hospital bed, he saw Mira standing helplessly at the door, so he led her to sit down and wait.

Makarov knew that Polyuska disliked being disturbed when making potions, not even by him.

He gave Mira a wink, signaling her to calm down and wait patiently.

Soon, Polyusicaä, with pink hair and a deep red cloak, stared at the almost perfect reagent in front of her with her slightly narrowed eyes, exhaled a long breath of suppressed emotion, and then silently put the potion away.

She spent almost half a year working on it, and only today has she finally produced this medicine to relieve heart pain.

"Makarov, how many times have I told you? I hate the smell of humans. Don't bring any more humans here."

Mira, who already knew about Polyuska's personality from Makarov, quickly stood up to greet her, "Hello, Grandma Polyuska!"

Despite her soft heart and stubborn words, Polyushika's expression remained unchanged, but she felt quite helpless inside. Without even thinking, she knew that Makarov had taught them to do this.

"Haha, Polyusica, we're all on the same side. Mira is a newcomer to the guild, but she has excellent magical talent and is a genius who has awakened magic on her own!"

Makarov, like a child who has just received a new toy, proudly showed it off to Polyusika.

Polyusika slammed her wooden cane on the ground and glared at Makarov with a fierce look; she couldn't stand Makarov's smugness.

"What kind of trouble is this time that you need my help with?" she asked directly.

Makarov doesn't come to her often, and every time he does, he brings a lot of trouble and asks for her help.

Makarov, unfazed by her impatience, pointed inside: "I've put the patient on the bed, can you take a look?"

......

Inside the ward, Poriuska was carefully examining the unconscious Hughes, with Makarov assisting him. Mira stood against the wall, her eyes looking at them with slight tension, not daring to disturb them.

"This kid's energy is too high, it has caused a split, and he may even have developed a second personality."

"His current coma is his body's self-protection mechanism being activated, which is the best treatment for him."

Makarov nodded in agreement. Polyusica's diagnosis was similar to his own. The moment he saw Hughes, he sensed that Hughes possessed immense spiritual power, which was even emanating from his body.

"Can it be cured? Hughes said that as long as he takes the medicine, he won't have a relapse, and even if he does, it won't be as painful as it has been recently."

Mira approached and asked with concern, then told them about Hughes's recent situation.

"They're using lost magic like fire elementalism; fire is the most fiery thing!"

Polius frowned. This was a bit of a problem. If Hughes were an ordinary person, she could treat him easily, but it would be much more difficult to deal with a mage.

It's impossible to stop a mage from using magic, but magic is linked to emotions and the mind. Using it will inevitably cause emotional heighten and increase their mental burden.

Unfortunately, this kid uses fire, and the ferocity and passion of his fire magic only exacerbated his condition.

After a moment's thought, Polyusica walked toward the potion station, rummaged around for a bit, and then handed a package of reagents to Mira.

"From now on, just give him this before he uses magic. He won't have any more symptoms until he develops resistance."

Poliusca's few words made Mira's eyes light up.

"But you should know that a strong mental strength also means that this kid's magical aptitude cannot be weak."

He will make rapid progress in a short period of time, and his magic power will surge.

If he fails to control himself during this process, the magic will induce a mental breakdown, causing him to fall into darkness and become a monster that only knows destruction.

"Mental health issues ultimately depend on him; my medication can't be effective for him indefinitely."

Poliuska's words caused Mira's joy to fade, and she fell silent.

"Wait, Polyusica, look again, Hughes isn't a mage at all!" Makarov's sudden interruption made Mira and Polyusica's eyes widen.
