The Silent Bookstore Manager at Hogwarts

"You're Harry Potter!!!"

Ron looked extremely excited, as if he had met his idol in real life.

Harry, on the other hand, was taken aback. Although he knew his name appeared in "Hogwarts: A History of the School," he was still somewhat surprised to encounter his own enthusiastic fan as soon as he stepped outside.

Red didn't react much to this. The book in his hand changed from "Magic Theory" to "Standard Spells: Beginner". Magic Theory had already told him that wands exist as "amplifiers" and "stabilizers" of a wizard's magical abilities, and spells are the specific instructions and forms for a wizard to control his magic power to achieve magical effects. So perhaps he could conduct a small experiment next.

Ron's enthusiasm clearly overwhelmed Harry, who, under Ron's expectation, showed him the scar on his forehead—a scar that, though faint, seemed to subtly reveal something. This undoubtedly provoked another excited outburst from Ron.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Red was still quietly reading a book and contemplating his use of magic.

"Hmm, I guess my use of the Levitation Charm is still too rough... After all, I'm just a beginner. Casting the spell silently and without a wand is really... impolite, or perhaps that's how I should put it?"

Reid assessed his actions, then retrieved his walnut wand from the luggage rack. He could feel how excited the wand was when he held it; it even seemed to be looking forward to Reid casting a spell to show him its power.

"Take it easy. What we need is not spellcasting, but a... interesting subject."

Red had already ignored Harry and Ron's interaction; they bought a ton of snacks and started sharing, including something called Chocolate Frog.

"Red, want one?"

Harry seemed to realize that he had just appeared to be ignoring Red, so he immediately handed Red the box containing the chocolate frog in an attempt to salvage the situation.

"Looks like a nice snack..." The chocolate frog hopped out and tried to smear it directly on his face. Just when Harry thought something bad was going to happen, the chocolate frog floated into the air.

"That's really good, the chocolate is of excellent quality. And what's this?"

Red pinched the floating chocolate frog and put it in his mouth. Although he was still not very skilled at the Silent Levitation Charm, the levitation charm he released by slightly flicking his wand was much smoother than the one he could release with his bare hands.

Ron didn't see this scene; his attention was drawn to Red's voice asking about the card.

"Those were bonus picture cards, all of them featuring famous wizards... Potolaemi!!!! It's Potolaemi!!!"

Looking at the cards in his hand, Red suddenly realized that even in a different country and environment, trading cards were still just as popular, and even seemed to be designed to rip off children's wallets.

"Red... what was that just now...?" Harry rubbed his hands together and asked Red in a low voice. He was referring to the incident where the Chocolate Frog was about to jump onto Red's face but suddenly floated into the air.

"Oh, the Levitation Charm. You can learn it if you're interested. I used a silent casting method..."

Red didn't say anything while watching Ron, who was still touching the Potolemi card as if it were a treasure. However, the card was indeed very powerful, and Ron almost regarded Red as his benefactor. He was just short of pulling the three of them together for a British version of the Oath of the Peach Garden.

"Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost a toad." The girl who suddenly pushed open the carriage door spoke with a somewhat arrogant tone. Her thick brown hair and prominent front teeth were the first impressions the three people in the carriage had of her. Her new Hogwarts robes seemed a bit too big on her, and the somewhat timid-looking boy behind her met their gazes...

"No..." Harry shook his head subconsciously. They had quite a few chocolate frogs here, but he had never seen a toad before.

"Harry, do you think the Summoning Charm works?"

Reid suddenly asked a question, as he began to consider trying casting spells fully armed.

"A summoning spell? But that can't..." The girl was about to say that a summoning spell couldn't summon anything alive when Red spoke up.

"Navi's toad has been summoned."

With a standard gesture, Red raised his wand and uttered the spell—a spell he had just learned in "Standard Spells: Beginner." Magic responded swiftly to his call, though it seemed somewhat confused, as Red had never seen Neville's toad before and had no idea what the target was.

"The Summoning Charm is indeed powerful, but it cannot summon living things. Don't you know that?"

The girl's words were interrupted halfway through because something was indeed flying towards them at high speed before quietly landing in Red's hand.

"This is your toad, right? To be honest, it took a bit of work to find it... Remember to keep a close eye on it."

Red wiped away his sweat. Since he didn't know what Neville's toad looked like, he might as well just use his magic and his senses to release it along the carriage. Anyway, since there was no one watching the toad, he could just use magic to grab it and bring it back. After handing the toad to Neville, who looked a little uneasy, he looked up at the girl.

The girl's mouth opened wide unconsciously, which undoubtedly undermined the knowledge she had learned from the textbook.

"My name is Hermione Granger. And you are?"

Hermione's voice lowered considerably. She looked curiously at the slightly thin and pale black-haired boy in front of her. His sharp eyes made her afraid to look directly at him, and she looked away after just one glance.

"Reid Maxwell... Freshman, it seems Miss Hermione, you know quite a bit about spells?"

Red asked casually, "The Summoning Charm isn't exactly a secret, but most people who haven't studied the textbook wouldn't know it, like Ron who was just standing there dumbfounded from the beginning."

Hermione and Neville simply went into the box as well, and the five of them exchanged names as a way of getting to know each other briefly.

Just as the atmosphere was finally starting to feel comfortable and everyone was relaxing, the door to the private room was suddenly pulled open again, but this time the sound was not so friendly.

"That toad flew in here, right? And this is the box where everyone's been talking about Harry Potter, right?"

Harry saw the pale-faced boy he had met in the robe shop. Two burly boys stood beside him, looking somewhat arrogant and even hostile. Harry lowered his center of gravity slightly to make it easier to exert force.

This is the same thing that was told to him in "The Chronicles of the Gods, Part Three" and when Red taught him how to fight: if possible, you must seize the initiative in attacking.
