Peninsula: My Top-Tier Landlord

Chapter 92: Could it be that you're thinking of...?

When Ye Fan woke up, all the lights in the cabin were off, and it was pitch black. He didn't know how long he had slept. His body was a little sore, and it was tiring to sleep sitting up.

His right shoulder felt heavy. He glanced down and saw Bae Joo-hyun leaning against him, fast asleep, her mouth slightly open, seemingly dreaming about something.

My hands were still holding it, and they were a little damp.

I glanced at the time; we'd already been flying for eight hours, and it would take another six hours to arrive.

For the first time, Ye Fan felt that taking a mode of transportation was so agonizing, and that time was passing so slowly.

Ye Fan took out his phone and started reading the downloaded novel to kill time. There were only a few hours left, and reading a novel would probably make the time pass quickly.

After watching for an unknown amount of time, the heaviness in my shoulders eased, and I heard that familiar, gentle voice in my ear, still tinged with fatigue and the languor of just waking up, "Are we almost there?"

"Not yet."

Ye Fan checked the time. "There are still 3 hours left. If you haven't had enough sleep, you can sleep a little longer."

Bae Joo-hyun didn't continue sleeping. She sat up straight, stretched, and then leaned against Ye Fan again, asking in a soft, sweet voice, "When did you wake up?"

"I woke up three hours ago and have been reading a novel ever since. I even took the time to wipe your drool twice."

"What?"

"I..." Bae Joo-hyun subconsciously touched the corner of her mouth, but when she saw Ye Fan's upturned lips, she realized that she had been deceived by him. She slid her arm around him down and pinched Ye Fan's waist.

Caught off guard, Ye Fan shuddered and nearly woke up the foreigner next to him.

Grabbing the mischievous little hand, Ye Fan lowered his head and whispered, "What are you doing? You almost woke someone up."

Bae Joo-hyun also felt a little embarrassed and apologized softly, "It was an unconscious action."

It was just that the cabin lights were off right now, otherwise Bae Joo-hyun would definitely have seen the black lines on Ye Fan's forehead.

"What do you mean by subconscious action? Are you addicted to hitting me?" Ye Fan lowered his voice and muttered under his breath.

"Didn't you lie to me first?" Bae Joo-hyun stuck out her tongue. It was indeed a subconscious action. Ye Fan teased her, and her hand just wouldn't obey her.

The cabin was dimly lit, and with their heads touching, the atmosphere suddenly became a little strange with these playful gestures. Ye Fan's Adam's apple bobbed as he smelled the fragrance emanating from Bae Joo-hyun.

Although it was dimly lit, Bae Joo-hyun was so close that she noticed Ye Fan's subtle movements. Her heart skipped a beat, and she pursed her lips and lowered her head slightly.

Could it be that Ye Fan wants to...?

She glanced up again and found that Ye Fan had already turned his head away and continued looking at his phone.

Her little mouth pursed slightly, her joy turning to annoyance, and she gently bumped her head against Ye Fan, that annoying guy.

Ye Fan coughed lightly, feeling a little embarrassed, and then continued reading the novel to distract himself.

That's strange. I usually have pretty good self-control, so why did I feel an impulse just now?

Could it be because it's too dark, creating a better atmosphere, or is it because of the teasing comments Seulgi and the others made earlier?

Bae Joo-hyun didn't bring any books, and her phone didn't have anything fun to play with, not even any movies downloaded. So, she could only read novels with Ye Fan out of boredom.

"Can you understand it?"

"Don't underestimate people, okay!" Bae Joo-hyun snorted.

"I can still understand some of the characters, but I don't quite understand the meanings of some of them, and I don't quite understand some of the combinations of names."

The novel Ye Fan was reading had many strange titles and sentences, which looked a bit like martial arts moves. This touched on Bae Joo-hyun's blind spot in her knowledge.

"Then I won't watch it." Ye Fan exited the novel app, opened a downloaded movie, and said that he would arrive in a little over two hours, which would be just enough time to watch a movie. He would arrive by the time he finished watching it.

"You've prepared quite a lot," Bae Joo-hyun said in surprise.

"Of course, otherwise why do you think I stayed up all night yesterday?"

After watching the movie, the plane arrived at the airport. Ye Fan and Pei Zhuxuan weren't in a hurry to get off. They waited until there were fewer people before collecting their luggage and getting off the plane. They then went to the baggage claim area to wait for their suitcases.

Fortunately, we landed in the evening. It would have been a bit more troublesome if it had been late at night. You know how it is at night abroad.

On the way, Ye Fan took out his equipment to film Bae Joo-hyun's landing footage, performing his assistant duties. Upon arriving at the hotel and checking in, Ye Fan had booked two rooms, which were conveniently arranged on the same floor.

After helping Ye Fan carry the suitcase to the room door, he knocked. This puzzled Bae Joo-hyun. "Why are you knocking? There's no one inside."

"I saw it online. It said to remind the things in the room that someone is going to check in," Ye Fan said, opening the door.

Bae Joo-hyun shuddered, glanced inside fearfully, and playfully punched Ye Fan. "Don't scare me!"

Ye Fan smiled and told Bae Joo-hyun not to worry. After returning to his room and putting away his luggage, Ye Fan took his equipment to Bae Joo-hyun's room to film some footage of their arrival at the hotel.

"I'm a bit tired after such a long flight. It's still early, so I'll go out for a meal and then come back to rest. I'll take everyone out for a walk tomorrow." Bae Joo-hyun smiled and waved at the camera, and Ye Fan then turned off the equipment.

"How was it? Was I a decent assistant?" Ye Fan asked with a smile.

"Yeah, that's great. I'm actually thinking of making you my assistant." Bae Joo-hyun nodded, acknowledging and praising Ye Fan's thoughtfulness and ability, but she was a little disappointed that he had just scared her.

"Then you can think about it."

"snort!"

"Let's go out for dinner. After dinner, come back and rest. We can go out again tomorrow." Bae Joo-hyun put her coat back on and called Ye Fan to go out together.

Ye Fan nodded. It wasn't too late yet, so he should go out for dinner first. It wouldn't be good to go out at night, and he was really tired after sitting on the plane for so long.

With his backpack on, Ye Fan put an umbrella inside. Everyone says that London's weather is unpredictable and rainy, so it's always good to bring an umbrella when you go out.

After going out for a walk, Ye Fan took Bae Joo-hyun to a restaurant recommended in the travel guide. Bae Joo-hyun didn't take any precautions; she didn't wear sunglasses or a mask. She didn't believe she could be recognized in this foreign country.

Ye Fan looked around the streets as he walked, and found that they weren't as nice as the online rumors suggested. They were quite dirty, and sometimes he could smell strange odors.

It was the novelty of being in a foreign land and the different architectural styles that piqued his curiosity, and also, there were quite a few Chinese people there.

After dinner, it got dark, and Bae Joo-hyun and Ye Fan returned to the hotel to rest.

After taking a shower, Ye Fan put on his bathrobe, went back to bed, turned on the TV, randomly picked a channel, turned the volume down, and just left it on to make the room a little more lively.

"Ding-dong~"
