Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong

Chapter 64 Accepting the Order's Invitation

Christina's gaze fell on Wendy's face.

"The Eye of Peeping," she read aloud.

"Precognitive abilities are indeed rare."

She walked toward Wendy.

Wendy.

"Um?"

"Would you be interested in coming to our area?"

Wendy paused for a moment.

"What?"

"The Witch Cult," Christina said. "Your abilities need guidance. The cult has scriptures, training methods, and someone who can tell you how to use your abilities."

Wendy didn't say anything.

Christina added.

"Also, your grandfather is old and has always lived down the mountain. Are you worried about that?" Every word she spoke struck a chord with Wendy. "The houses on the mountainside are safer than down there. The cult happens to have a few vacant houses. It's also relatively safe there when the demonic tide comes."

Wendy turned to look at Wayne.

Wayne stood by the bucket, his face expressionless.

"Your Majesty Bishop..."

"Follow your heart," Wayne said.

Wendy eventually agreed; after all, having a powerful backer was a good thing.

"Okay, I'll join."

After Wendy's situation was settled.

Dora pushed up her glasses and began to speak.

"Sir, Bishop."

Wayne looked at her.

"Um, could I have one awakening potion?"

Wayne pulled a new one out of his pocket and handed it over.

Dora took the bottle, uncorked it, smelled it, and then carefully put it back in, as if afraid of breaking something. She tucked the porcelain bottle into her sleeve and glanced up at Wayne.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome."

Christina stood at the doorway and glanced outside; it was already getting dark.

She turned around and thanked him.

"Sir Bishop, thank you for today."

"You're welcome."

Christina paused.

"There's one more thing."

"What?"

"Could you also treat the members of the cult?"

"curse?"

"Yes." Christina nodded. "Some children in the cult have been under a curse for many years. If this continues, something bad will happen sooner or later."

Wayne did not hesitate.

"The church doors are always open to you."

Christina nodded and continued.

"Sir, Bishop."

"Um?"

"Then... can I try your water magic?"

Wayne looked at her.

"Now?"

"Yes, now."

Christina extended her hand from her sleeve, palm up, and offered it to Wayne. She wanted to try it out for herself and see the unique aspects of Wayne's water magic.

Wayne glanced at her, then raised his hand to cover hers. Water element overflowed from his palm, and a pale blue light flowed between their hands.

The panel popped up.

[Christina's Water Element Contact Report]

[Reaction: She was enduring. She could endure much more than Tilulu, but not for very long. When the water elementals invaded, she forgot who she was for a moment.]

[Note: She wondered why Dora seemed normal during the test, but changed when it came to him. Could it be that you've taken a liking to her? She is indeed good-looking and has a great figure, but she seems indifferent to men. Wait… is that why she's doing it on purpose? She's heard that some men like that, the more unattainable something is, the more they want it.]

[Note 2: She thought that if she bit her lip to keep quiet, she could pretend nothing had happened. However, objectively speaking, she should be happy if her legs weren't trembling.]

Three breaths later, Wayne released his grip on his own.

If we don't let go soon, I don't know what this woman will think.

Christina forced herself to remain calm and withdrew her hand.

"Water magic?" she asked, her voice a half-tone lower than before. "Interesting..."

Christina was breathing heavily at that moment. Fortunately, Lillian came up from the side, easing the embarrassing situation that was about to collapse.

"Big sister, come on, I'll see you out."

The three of them quickly left the room.

Dora followed behind, clutching the notebook in her arms. The open pages were covered with crooked handwriting. She tucked her pen into the pages, closed the notebook, and jogged a few steps to catch up.

"Big sister."

Christina didn't turn around.

"Um."

"That water magic..."

"We'll talk about it when we get back."

The panel pops up.

After everything was taken care of, it was completely dark.

Wayne stood at the entrance and spoke to Wendy.

"Get some rest, you can go back tomorrow."

To be honest, Wendy felt a little disappointed after hearing what Wayne said.

"oh."

She lowered her head and spoke very softly.

"So... my grandpa will pick me up tomorrow?"

"Um."

Wendy nodded, then paused.

"Your Majesty Bishop."

"Um?"

"thank you."

Wayne smiled.

"You're welcome."

Wayne turned and walked out.

Mayfair stood at the end of the corridor, dressed in a clean nun's habit, her hair neatly combed and tucked into her headscarf.

"Awake?" Wayne walked over.

"Yes," Mayfair nodded, "I slept all day."

"Are you hungry? There's still food in the kitchen."

"I've already eaten." Mayfair moved her hand inside her sleeve. "Vera saved some for me."

The two walked side by side into the courtyard.

"Your Excellency," Mayfair said.

"Um?"

"Those people who came today...were they from the Witch Cult?"

"Yes."

Mayfair remained silent for a moment.

"Is it really okay to interact with them?"

"What's the problem?"

"The church and witches..." Mayfair paused.

"We've never gotten along very well."

Wayne stood still by the well.

That's someone else's business.

Mayfair looked at him.

"We just need to do our own thing," Wayne said. "The church doors are open to everyone, whether she's a witch or a normal person."

Mayfair didn't speak. Moonlight fell on her face, making her expression difficult to discern, but her lips twitched slightly.

"You are indeed different from those bishops."

"What's different?"

Mayfair thought for a moment.

"Those people in the past, while calling her a goddess, were only thinking and doing things for themselves."

"You talk about goddesses, but you're thinking about someone else." Mayfair's lips curled up slightly. "And you never lie."

Wayne smiled.

"Is that a compliment?"

"Calculate."

The two of them stood in the courtyard and watched the moon for a while.

……

While Wayne was washing up.

I heard light footsteps behind me.

Two heads squeezed through the crack in the door, one on the left and one on the right, their pale red eyes shining in the darkness. Emma peeked in first, followed by Ella.

"Master," Emma whispered.

Wayne turned his head.

"What's wrong?"

Two girls squeezed through the crack in the door.

Emma tilted her head back, her expression serious as if she were making some important decision. Ella stood beside her, her ears already bright red, burning from her earlobes to the tips, clearly visible under the light.

Emma took a deep breath.

"Master, we lost the bet."

Wayne looked at her.

"What did you bet on?"

"Let's bet on Wendy's magical attribute," Emma said. "I guessed wind, and my sister guessed earth. Turns out, neither of them were right."

Wayne, damn it.

"and then?"

"Whoever loses has to kiss their master."

Wayne raised an eyebrow.

"But we all lost," Emma said matter-of-factly, "so we all had to come."

Wayne looked at the twins and remained silent for a moment.

"It's probably Emma's little scheme again."

Emma blinked.

"How did Master know?"

Wayne did not answer.

He ruffled Emma's hair. His fingers ran through her pale pink hair, gently pressing on the top of her head. A few strands of Emma's hair stood up from the ruffle, but she didn't seem to mind. Instead, she squinted and rubbed her face against his palm.

Wayne looked at Ella again. Wayne also ruffled her hair. Ella's body stiffened for a moment, then slowly relaxed, like a kitten that had been stroked.

"Alright." Wayne withdrew his hand.

"Go back to sleep."

Emma looked up.

"What about the bet?"

Wayne looked at her.

"When you're a little older."

Emma pouted.

"How long will it take?"

"It won't be long."
