Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong

Chapter 346 The Sword Saint Makes His Move

The scene before my eyes was very strange.

Tiffany was the first to react, anxiously saying, "Stop him! We absolutely cannot let him summon that thing!"

Before he finished speaking, Keynes had already become a blur, his body enveloped in black battle aura, as he thrust his full power towards the dark red barrier.

The moment the sword tip pierced the barrier's surface, a dazzling ring of sparks erupted. The barrier remained completely still, while Keynes was instead propelled backward several steps by a tremendous recoil force.

Several guards also attacked the barrier at the same time, slashing at the dark red barrier with their swords, but to no avail.

Keynes glanced down at his hand, then looked up at the barrier, his eyes filled with disbelief. He had used all his strength in that sword strike. He hadn't expected that with his late-stage fifth-tier cultivation, he couldn't even budge a barrier.

Just as he was preparing to gather all his battle energy for another try, a hand pressed down on his shoulder.

"No."

Keynes turned sharply and saw Wayne standing beside him, his gaze calmly fixed on the dark red barrier: "A sacrifice with life as the catalyst. When the abyss began to respond to him, the space around him no longer belonged to this world. That is the area covered by the projection of the abyss's will. Without an absolute difference in strength, it cannot be broken through from the outside."

Keynes hesitated for a moment: "Then what do we do? Are we just going to watch him complete the summoning?"

Wayne did not answer his question.

He raised his head, looked at the night behind the Marquis's mansion, and raised his voice, "Senior, it's time to make a move."

The words fell.

A sound of clothes rustling in the air came from mid-air.

A figure leaped down from the top of the tower on the side of the Marquis's mansion and landed lightly in the center of the courtyard.

The old swordsman stood there, dressed in ordinary gray casual clothes. He glanced at the dark red barrier, then at the leader of the dead servants behind it, who was frantically chanting sacrificial prayers.

"Sigh...you little brat, you really know how to cause trouble. I thought you wanted me to kill someone, but it turns out it's these filthy things."

Once he looked away, the old swordsman became serious.

His hand reached for his sword on his right.

Then he drew his sword.

The moment the sword was fully drawn, it was as if all the air in the courtyard had been sucked out, and all the sounds disappeared in that instant.

A massive sword light suddenly appeared.

Boom!

The sword light burst forth in the night sky, transforming into a silver-white ribbon that stretched across half the sky.

The dark red barrier was torn apart like paper.

The view behind the barrier was revealed.

The Deadpool leader remained kneeling, his hands still pressed to the ground, but his entire demeanor had completely changed. Dark purple lines appeared on his skin, as if something was spreading within him.

His head slowly rose, revealing a pair of eyes that had turned completely black.

"Ron Grayson, Wiggins' swordsman, do you know what kind of disaster you've sown for yourself?"

The old swordsman stood at the gap left by the broken barrier, his sword tip pointing diagonally at the ground, and he couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of saliva.

"Pah! Filthy things should stay where filthy things belong. This is human land, not a place for you."

The voice chuckled softly.

"Heh... You will pay the price for your choices today. When the purple sun rises, the wrath of the abyss will first devour your soul, ensuring you never rise again."

The old swordsman didn't waste any words with it. He raised his longsword and swung it down again without hesitation.

The abyssal projection possessing the leader of the Deadpools let out a short, sharp shriek, and then the already dead body collapsed completely to the ground.

The guards stood still, their gazes fixed on the corpses, then slowly shifting to the old swordsman standing in the center of the courtyard, calmly straightening his sword sheath. No one spoke. After a moment, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

It seems that today's battle is over.

The old swordsman walked up to Vayne and said proudly.

"How was it? Was that sword strike passable, old man?"

Wayne replied earnestly.

"Senior's swordsmanship is the most beautiful I have ever seen."

"Haha, looks like you have a good eye."

Wayne bowed respectfully to him again: "Thank you for your help tonight, senior. I will personally visit you another day to express my gratitude."

The old swordsman waved his hand: "Alright, I should thank you for giving me such a good apprentice! But next time you come to me, I'll have to ask for a little something in return."

"That's natural."

The old swordsman had no intention of lingering any longer: "As for your other matters, this old man won't interfere. Things are done, and it's getting late; I need to go back to sleep."

"Take care, senior."

The old swordsman waved his hand without turning his head, and his figure quickly disappeared into the night.

Wayne quickly looked away and turned to his side and rear.

"Emily".

Emily immediately moved closer.

"Sir, I'm here."

Wayne whispered, "Go to the Black Order now and tell Anka that the news can be released tonight. She knows what to do."

Emily nodded without asking any further questions. She shrank slightly, and like a drop of ink dissolving into water, she sank into the shadows beneath her feet and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

In the courtyard, the aftermath of the battle had completely subsided. The candles were relit, and the guards were cleaning the courtyard, dragging away the corpses, and washing away the bloodstains.

Wayne withdrew his gaze and turned to walk towards the brightly lit area in the center of the courtyard, where the five witches he had just recruited were standing under the eaves, telling Tiffany and the others about their joy at being reunited.

As Wayne approached, the five immediately fell silent, their eyes all fixed on him. Some looked nervous, some curious, and others with a mixture of cautious anticipation and unease.

Without any further pleasantries, Wayne took out a fist-sized stone from his pocket, a magic-suppressing stone specifically designed to detect witches.

Give it a try.

Lin, who was leading the group, paused for a moment, took the stone, and looked down at it in her hand: "This is... a magic-suppressing stone?"

Wayne nodded. "Okay. Let's test it out and see how effective my potion is."

Lin held the anti-magic stone, took a deep breath, and then stretched out her finger and gently pressed it onto the surface of the stone.

One second. Two seconds. Three seconds.

The stone did not react.

Lin's breath hitched for a moment, then she looked up again, her eyes filled with barely suppressed surprise: "No reaction?!"

Wayne nodded. "Okay. Next."

The remaining four witches stepped forward one by one, pressing their fingers on the anti-magic stone, but none of them triggered the color representing a witch.

Once the last person was confirmed, Wayne's last worry was finally relieved.

If they are alright, then the others who are imprisoned are probably alright too, since they all drank the same potion.

"From tonight onwards, you will no longer be witches wanted by the Vatican, but simply five innocent people coerced by Saint George. Tomorrow morning, the Black Order will officially intervene in this coercion case. All you need to do is recount exactly how Saint George coerced you."

After listening, Lin's eyes reddened slightly, and she nodded vigorously.

"clear.
