The battle has begun in earnest.

Keynes locked onto the Deadpool leader instantly. Without further probing, he launched a full-force attack. The sword, wreathed in black battle aura, pierced straight towards the Deadpool leader's chest.

The Deadpool leader dodged to the side and threw a punch at Keynes's ribs, which Keynes deflected with an elbow.

The two were locked in combat in the center of the courtyard. The aftershocks of their clash of battle energy caused spiderweb-like cracks to appear on the surrounding stone pavement, and the torches near the edge of the battle circle flickered unpredictably due to the shockwaves.

On the other side, everyone else also set their own targets.

Marco parried a blood beast's attack with his sword, leaving a deep, bone-revealing wound on its arm. But the blood beast felt no pain; its other claw was already aimed at Marco's face.

He ducked to avoid it, the tip of his sword plunging into the blood beast's abdomen and pulling it horizontally. The blood beast's internal organs spilled out of the wound, but it still didn't fall; instead, it lunged forward even more frantically.

Marco cursed, "They're still alive?"

On the other side, Wayne was also entangled with a fifth-tier prisoner. The prisoner was burly and muscular, with dark blue totem patterns tattooed on his arms. His bloodshot eyes were fixed on Wayne as if he were staring at a walking gold mine.

He threw a punch, the wind whistling through the air with a muffled whistling sound. Wayne dodged to the side, the fist slamming into the stone pillar behind him, sending stone chips flying and leaving a deep fist mark on the pillar.

The prisoner, having missed his attack, grinned: "Kid, don't struggle. Someone's offered a fortune for your life. Do you know what a fortune means? Enough for me to buy an estate in any kingdom outside of Wiggins, keep a bunch of women, and live a carefree life. You lie down obediently, and I'll let you die a quick death."

Wayne did not answer.

He raised his hand, tilted his head back, and gulped down a bottle of Blood Explosion Potion.

The moment the potion entered his throat, his battle aura surged once again as if it had been ignited.

The prisoner's smile widened rather than diminished when he saw him drink the medicine.

"Drugs? Drugs won't help—I'm a fifth-tier player! You're just a fourth-tier player. Even if you drank all the magic potions in the entire capital, you still wouldn't be a match for me!"

Before he could finish speaking, he had already punched Wayne in the face.

Wayne did not back down.

He raised his hand and caught the punch steadily.

The instant their fists and palms collided, a shockwave exploded between them. The stone slabs on the ground cracked, and small pebbles flew in all directions.

The prisoner's smile froze.

Wayne didn't give him time to react. He clenched his other fist and slammed it into Wayne's chest.

The prisoner slid backward several steps, each step leaving a shallow crater in the ground.

"you!"

Wayne's figure had reappeared in front of him.

Another punch.

The punch landed on his parrying arm, and with a crack, a fissure appeared in the prisoner's forearm bone.

At the same time, a giant cross appeared out of thin air in Wayne's other hand—holy light condensed on the surface of the cross into a layer of blazing white light, enveloping the entire cross in dazzling light.

Wayne gripped the cross tightly, putting all his strength into his arms.

Combat Skill: Holy Light Judgment.

It swung horizontally outwards.

The cross, bathed in holy light, struck the prisoner's crossed arms. Crack! Two sounds of bones breaking rang out almost simultaneously.

The prisoner's arms bent at an unnatural angle, and the force of the impact sent him flying backward, his feet leaving the ground. He crashed heavily against the base of the courtyard wall, his back cracking the brickwork before he slid to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

He looked down at his bent arms, then looked up at Wayne, his eyes filled with shock and terror.

"You...you're not a fourth-tier..."

Wayne did not answer.

He carried the cross and walked towards him step by step. The prisoner got up from the ground, turned around and ran.

However, he had only taken two steps when a figure appeared in front of him and struck him hard on the head again. The fifth-level death row inmate was slammed into the crowd, knocking down many others in the process.

Wayne then spoke.

"In the end, he's just a pseudo-fifth-tier cultivator. His cultivation level, built up with drugs and runes, isn't even enough to unleash 60% of the combat power of a true fifth-tier cultivator, yet he dared to take on this job."

He didn't even glance at the corpse huddled against the wall; he turned around and looked in other directions of the battlefield.

The battle between Keynes and the leader of the Deadpools was drawing to a close. The leader of the Deadpools had seven or eight wounds of varying depths, and the armor on his left shoulder was completely shattered, revealing a bloody and mangled shoulder underneath. His breathing was visibly erratic, and his steps began to falter.

Keynes gave him no chance to catch his breath.

A sword pierced his right knee, and the Deadpool leader retreated frantically.

"Surrender, or die!"

On the other side, Marco's guard had stabilized the situation. Although the transformed blood beasts were fearless, their power was rapidly waning.

The most ferocious ones were already showing obvious signs of exhaustion, their attacks becoming smaller and slower.

"Close the net!" Marco commanded. The guards stepped forward in unison, shields tightening, swords clashing, forcing the remaining struggling blood beasts into a corner. After several rounds of attacks, the last blood beast finally fell to the guards' blades.

In the end, only three Deadpools remained.

They stood back to back in the center of the courtyard, surrounded by the fallen corpses of blood beasts and the remains of their own companions. The guards surrounded them from all sides, swords gleaming, the torchlight casting a deathly pale light on their faces.

Wayne stood outside the encirclement, and without any unnecessary words, simply said two words: "Take it down."

The three Dead Servants realized almost simultaneously that they had no way out. The outer barrier had been locked down by Tiffany's magic circle, the Marquis's guards had completed their encirclement, and the five witches who were supposed to be their helpers were now standing behind Wayne.

There were no reinforcements, no way out, and no way to survive.

The Deadpool leader took a deep breath, then made a move that caught everyone off guard. Instead of surrendering with his sword raised, or charging in a desperate attack, he slammed his palm into the ground. The instant his palm touched the stone floor, an invisible, dark red barrier expanded outwards from him, repelling the onrushing guards. Then, to everyone's astonishment, he stretched out his hands, his fingers like hooks, and seized the heads of two of his companions.

Click.

Two sounds of bones cracking rang out almost simultaneously.

The two Death Servants didn't even have time to utter a sound before their heads were crushed, splattering blood and brain matter all over the leader's face.

"Supreme Lord of the Abyss, Eternal Watcher of the Dimensional Rift, your humble servant here offers sacrifices to you, with blood as the catalyst, soul as the pact, and the lives of these three to knock on the door of your descent..."
